If you are not much for the mouse - Google Chrome has lots of built-in Quick Launch keyboard shortcuts Here are a few of my absolute favorites:-

Ctrl+Tab cycles through open tabs; Ctrl+Shift+Tab reverse cycles through open tabs.
Ctrl+W closes the current tab.

Alt+Home loads your homepage.

Notepad++ is the best free text editor available on the net. There is a plugin available in Notepad++ File Switcher - which allows you to change files by hitting the shortcut and then typing its name. Useful for when you have several files open at once and Ctrl+Tab takes too long to sift through.

As a name suggest Spell-Checker plugin helps you when you’re editing normal text files.

9. Auto Close XML Tags

XML Tools plugin auto-close tags and provides other useful features.

10. Compare two text files side by side

With Compare Plugin you can find differences in two text files very easily. The differences are showed in both files by highlighting them with colours.

Bonus :Bulk Edit Text Files in Notepad++ (Without Opening Them)

You don't need any plugin for this. Simply hit CTRL+SHIFT+F and browse the path where all your files are resided. You can also choose type of files as *.txt for text file or *.php for php files.

There are many other plugins like Hex Editor (Adds a Hex Editor in Notepad++) and Color Picker(translates your selected colour in hexadecimal) which can increase your productivity.

Most of the time when you want to search any file in windows you first click on search then type name of the file and then again hit search (unless you have enable Indexing). In order to avoid clicking Search button again and again you can enable Quick Search in window explorer without any third party software installation.

With this you will also able to find your files quickly. Before when you press A button on your keyboard window explorer will focus on first folder whose name starts with A. When you will again press A focus will be on next folder whose name starts with A and this goes on. With Quick Search enable you will only see those folders whose names start with A only or has A in it. This way you can browse window more easily and productively.

Here are the steps to enable Quick Search:

Open Window Explorer (My Computer)
Press ALT + T
Go to Tools > Folder Option and then press View tab
In Advanced setting find When Typing in the List View
Select the option “Automatically type into search box”

This way you will be able to browse window more productively.

If you are using the free rapidshare service, then you need to click the "Free User" button, then wait sometime for the timer to expire. Only after that you have access to the download link. Often one forgets about the timer and then the session expires and you have to start all over again. There are some extensions in firefox as well as in chrome which simply automates the click of the "Free User" button, then it waits patiently for the timer to expire and automatically starts the download automatically.

For Chrome: RapidShare AutoWait + Queue

This Extension performs autowait feature and is able to queue file requests so only one retry at a time is performed. After downloading a file - next one from queue is taken.Some basic queue management is included like direct adding file/files to it, changing files order or removing entries.

For Firefox: RDown - RapidShare Downloader

This simple extension doesn't need any settings, it just do its job. After the installation and Firefox' restart go to the Tools, RapidShare Downloader menu. Open some RapidShare pages, copy the links for downloading the files and paste these links to the RDown's window.

Now click the Start button and do your other work. You don't have to wait until your download are ready. RDown will confirm the links for you and download all files to the default Firefox download folder.

Block Calls in Samsung

By making changes in the "call restrictions" section of your Samsung phone, you can block people from calling you. Once the call restriction is set, you will not hear any calls come through your phone until you change the settings back to normal. All callers will be sent directly to voice mail. You can also set your phone so that certain callers will be sent to voice mail without your knowledge.

Blocking All Incoming Calls

Go to the main menu on your Samsung cell phone. Press "Tools & Settings" or the similar section listed under the first level menu options.
Press "Call Settings" or similar. You will be taken to a list of options for receiving your calls. Select the "Call Restrictions" option.
Under "Incoming" select "Yes" to program your phone to automatically reject all incoming calls. On some models you can also set the phone to restrict calls from anyone outside of your contact list, or only from callers who are on your contact list under the "Call Restrictions" menu.

Blocking an Individual Person

Save the person's phone number in your Samsung phone's address book. If it's a bill collector or another person who you don't know, you can save the name as something generic, like "Ignore" or "Block."
Go to the entry that you just saved in your contact list and click "Edit." Scroll down until you see "Sounds," "Tones" or similar and press "OK."
Scroll down again until you see "No Ring." Select this option and then press "OK" to save this new change to the contact. From now on, all incoming calls from this person will be silent and sent on to voice mail without you ever having to hear the phone ring.

Block Calls in Sony Ericsson

Flip open your cell phone and go to the phone's menu.
Select "Settings" and scroll down to "Calls."
Select "Manage Calls" and then choose "Accept Calls."
Choose to accept "All Calls," "Calls from a list" or "None." If you choose to accept calls from a list, you will have to create your list of accepted callers. This is easy. You will just scroll through your contacts and select numbers you want to accept.

Block Calls in Blackberry

If you have a Blackberry, you can use a program called Efficient Call Blocker from BerryWAV. This program will block numbers that you specify and let you make the other party hear messages like your number is disconnected or no longer in service. Although it is a premium service which costs 5.49$. You can buy it from here.

The first service pack for Microsoft's Windows 7 has finally leaked on the internet. It's not yet available for download as I'm writing this article but folks over at Geeksmack have a copy of Windows 7 Service Pack 1 build 6.1.7601.16537.amd64fre.win7.100327-0053.

This leak proves that Microsoft is still on track with the rumors that this major update is going to be available by late of 2010.

According to Geeksmack, this build is quick to install but major updates like enhanced Bluetooth support & USB 3.0 support are not yet confirmed. Anyway, below are some of Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Beta screenshots.

Google's first own-branded entry into the mobile 'phone market - the Android-powered Nexus One, manufactured by HTC - might be making a splash with its high-resolution screen and super-fast processor, but not everyone is happy. It seems that a number of users have been experiencing some problems with 3G, which they have been posting on the Google Mobile Help Forum. Those who lose their 3G reception on their Google Nexus One phone will been pushed on to EDGE, which we know is much slower. The reason is still unknown as to why this is happening, but according to an article on nexus404.com, the problem lies with T-Mobile.

A key concern for many online customers is that they had to turn to HTC or T-Mobile for phone support because Google was only answering complaints via e-mail, with response times of one or two days.

A T-Mobile spokeswoman said that T-Mobile is providing support for phone service, including billing, while Google supports device sales and software and HTC supports the hardware, including device troubleshooting, warranties, repairs and returns.

Findings suggest that poor 3G coverage is the cause for many complaints about the Nexus One. T-Mobile has the smallest 3G footprint of the four US nationals.

T-Mobile is asking US customers to provide details of their Nexus One connection issues in the company forums, promising that "Google and T-Mobile are investigating this issue and hope to have more information for [customers] soon."
