Hack A Wi-Fi Connection

Many windows users are digging up in the internet for hacking Wi-fi networks and they all show up using Blacktrack or other Linux operating system. I'm just sharing the method to Crack Wi-Fi networks using WEP security protocol. It takes up to 5-6 hours to crack a password or even 11-12 hours with having strong password.

Flaw in WEP:

Because RC4 is a stream cipher, the same traffic key must never be used twice. The purpose of an IV, which is transmitted as plain text, is to prevent any repetition, but a 24-bit IV is not long enough to ensure this on a busy network. The way the IV was used also opened WEP to a related key attack. For a 24-bit IV, there is a 50% probability the same IV will repeat after 5000 packets.

Depending on the amount of network traffic, and thus the number of packets available for inspection, a successful key recovery could take as little as one minute. If an insufficient number of packets are being sent, there are ways for an attacker to send packets on the network and thereby stimulate reply packets which can then be inspected to find the key. The attack was soon implemented, and automated tools have since been released. It is possible to perform the attack with a personal computer, off-the-shelf hardware and freely available software such as aircrack-ng to crack anyWEP key in minutes.

Generic weaknesses of WEP:

The use of WEP was optional, resulting in many installations never even activating it, and
WEP did not include a key management protocol, relying instead on a single shared key among users.

We will be using this software to capture packets sen or receive over a network. The more packets you capture the better chances of cracking a password.You need a minimum of 1, 20,000 packets, The packets will be stored in .ncp format but using this tool you can convert it into .cap format.

2.Aircrack-Ng GUI-

Aircrack-ng is an 802.11 WEP and WPA-PSK keys cracking program that can recover keys once enough data packets have been captured. It implements the standard FMS attack along with some optimizations like KoreK attacks, as well as the all-new PTW attack, thus making the attack much faster compared to other WEP cracking tools.

We will be using this software to use .cap to crack password.

Note: 1.Some of your anti-virus will report that it is a virus but that's a false positive.

2. You need to run this software as an administration

Commview for Wi-fi

STEP 1.

Install CommView for Wi-Fi. It doesn’t matter whether you install it in VoIP mode or Standard mode. I used VoIP.

It automatically installs the necessary drivers. Allow it to install.

STEP 2.

Click on the PLAY ICON in the Left First.

STEP 3.

Choosing the Network (a new window should pop out)

STEP 4.

Choosing the Network

Click on the Wi-Fi network you want to hack in the Right Column and Click on CAPTURE.

STEP 5.

Capturing the Packets.

The windows should close now and you should see that CommView has started Capturing Packets.

STEP 6.

Saving the Packets

Now that the Packets are getting captured you need to save them.

Click on Settings->Options->Memory Usage
Change Maximum Packets in buffer to 20000

Click on the LOGGING Tab.
Check AUTO-SAVING
In the Maximum Directory Size: 2000
Average Log File Size: 20

Now CommView will automatically Start Saving packets in the .nap format at a size of 20MB each in the specified directory

STEP 7.

Concatenating the Logs

Since you are capturing a lot of logs you will need to concatenate them into once file.

To do this go to Logging and click on CONCATENATE LOGS.

Choose all the files that have been saved in your specified folder and concatenate them.

Now you will have one .ncf file.

STEP 8.

Converting .ncf to .cap

Now that you have one file with all the packets you need to convert it into .cap file for AIRCRACK to crack.

Click on File->Log Viewer->Load Commview Logs-> Choose the .ncf file
Now File->Export->Wire shark/TCP dump format.

Aircrack:

Now that we have captured the ivs and stored it in a cap file. We are going to crack it using aircrack.

We will use the GUI version of aircrack.

Extract the Aircrack zip file you downloaded.

Go to the bin and open Aircrack Ng Gui.exe (located in bin folder).

STEP 1. Choose the .cap file you got through CommView for Wi-Fi

STEP 2. Click on launch.

STEP 3. Just wait while aircrack is cracking the password.

STEP 4. Aircrack has successfully found the password.

STEP 5. Now Connect to the Wi-Fi network using the key.

There are a few simple things that you can do to reduce the chances of a disk fault occuring,

*Never move your computer when it is switched on and try not to knock it.

*Don't place your computer near to or next to a heat source because it can cause over-heating.

*Hot and Cold if for some reason you have left your laptop in the trunk of your car over night and then bring it in to your home or office, do not power it up right away, give it at least thirty minutes to get up to room temperature.

*Shut Down If you take a break from your computer for half an hour, it is better to leave it switched on, but if you are not going to use your computer for several hours then it is ok to shut it down.

Shutting down your computer properly is important, as a sudden shutdown can corrupt the data stored on the disk.

Fix Your Filing System

Alot of computer problems are related to the filing system, the way in which software, such as Windows, stores information on your Hard Disk.

The opeating system must find a free area on the surface of your hard disk to store a file, check that it is written correctly, note where it is on the disk and ensure that nothing else can use that space.

During this process, sometimes things go wrong and a file can be lost or corrupted, otherwise known as a disk fault, when this occurs there is no reason to panic, recreating the filing system by reformatting or repairing it will usually solve the problem.

S.M.A.R.T

S.M.A.R.T (Self monitoring analysis and reporting technology) is incorporated into all new hard disks and aims to alert you to impending problems before they happen, this means that you can take the appropriate action before the disk stops working and all of your data is lost.

Although it wont warn you when the filing system has gone wrong, it will report problems such as the number of times it has tried to spin the disk up to the correct speed and the numbers of errors it encountered when reading the disk, there are many free utilities that allow you to read a disks smart information.

Physical Faults

Fire, Flood and other outside factors can physically damage your hard drive, although these faults cannot be fixed it is not always a disaster, It can be possible to recover the data on the damaged disk, but this is a job for the professionals, there are several companies who specialise in recovering data in such circumstances, It is surprising how much data these companies can recover.

It comes at a price though but if it is your lifes work or the only photographs of your wedding that price

would be well worth paying.

Delete Bad Files

Not all faults are serious and a computer can run perfectly well with a few small errors in the filing system, for example one of your pictures might not display on your screen becaause it is corrupt, this isn't a fatal error and it probably won't affect anything else on your computer.

A corrupt photo,music or even text file can simply be deleted, removing bad files and leaving the good ones will repair the filing system.

Windows Tools

Windows has some useful tools built into it that help you to recover from disk disasters.

CHKDSK/F

To check that your hard disk is ok, hold down the windows and "R" keys on your keyboard, type in cmd and press enter to open a command prompt window then type in chkdsk, this checks for errors but doesn't fix them but if you type in Chkdsk/f it will fix any errors that it finds during the scan.

Test Your Backups

We all know the importance of Backing up your data to a removable disk, but you should also test your backups, being sure that you can actually read the files back again, you don't want to be half way through restoring your files and discover that your backup disk has a fault

This trick has been posted by my friend. I found this interesting so i'm sharing it with you.

1.Switch to welcome screen

Press Win+L to switch to the Welcome screen.

2.Lock your workstation

Press Win+L to lock your workstation.

3.Switch user easly

You can switch users without going through the Welcome screen: From Task Manager, go to the Users tab, right-click a user, and select Connect.

4.Hibrernate computer

Hold down the shift key in the shutdown dialog to change "Stand By" to "Hibernate". Or just press H to hibernate instantly. You can even use the Power Control Panel to configure your power button to hibernate.

5.Disable password when resuming stanby

To disable the password when resuming from standby or hibernation, open the Power Control Panel and uncheck "Prompt for password after returning from standby" on the Advanced tab.

6.Choose details

From the View Menu, select "Choose Details" to select which file properties should be shown in the Explorer window. To sort by a file property, check its name in the "Choose Details" in order to make that property available in the "Arrange Icons by" menu.

7.Display volume control icon in taskbar

To display the volume control icon in the taskbar, go to the Sounds and Audio Devices Control Panel and select "Place volume icon in the taskbar".

8.Delete file without send into recycle bin

Hold down the shift key when deleting a file to delete it immediately instead of placing it in the Recycle Bin. Files deleted in this way cannot be restored.

9.Customize 'send to' menu

Put a shortcut to your favorite editor in your Send To folder and it will appear in your "Send To" menu. You can then right-click any file and send it to your editor.

10.Organize favorites

a) To organize your Favorites in Explorer instead of using the Organize Favorites dialog, hold the shift key while selecting "Organize Favorites" from the Favorites menu of an Explorer window.

b) You can organize your Favorites by dragging the items around your Favorites menu.
Alternatively, you can open the Favorites pane and hold the Alt key while pressing the up and down arrows to change the order of your Favorites.

11.View IE in fullscreen

To run Internet Explorer fullscreen, press F11. Do it again to return to normal mode.

12.Hide printers & faxes

If your "Printers and Faxes" folder is empty, you can hide the "Printers and Faxes" icon when viewed from other computers
by stopping the Print Spooler service.

13.Add/remove columns from detail mode

To add or remove columns from Details mode, select Choose Details from the View menu, or just right-click the column header bar.

14.Go backwards or forward by mouse wheel

In Internet Explorer, hold the Shift key while turning the mouse wheel to go forwards or backwards.

15.Add current page to favorites

In Internet Explorer, type Ctrl+D to add the current page to your Favorites.
This and many more keyboard shortcuts can be found by going to Internet Explorer, clicking the Help menu, then selecting Contents and Index. From the table of contents, open Accessibility and click "Using Internet Explorer keyboard shortcuts".

16.Shut down via Remote Desktop

Windows 7 requires the following for optimum performance:

-2.0 GHz Processor

-Graphics with 256 Mb memory

-2 Gb of RAM

-32 Gb Hard Disk

But you can run it With minimum requirements of following:-

1GHz processor (32- or 64-bit)
1GB of main memory
16GB of available disk space
Support for DX9 graphics with 128MB of memory [For Aero Themes]

For This You have to follow some simple steps given below:-

1.Increase Your Virtual RAM

- Go To my computer

-Click on system properties

-Go to Advance System Settings

-Under Advance Tab Click on 'settings' under Performance Bar

-Click on Advance Tab and select Change option under Virtual Memory.

-Uncheck 'Automatically manage paging file size for all drives'

-Click on Custom Size Set initial Size to 2000 Mb and maximum size to 2500

- Click Set and then OK button.

2.Setup Windows 7 Ready boost for an extra speed

- For this you need a high speed usb drive which is enabled ready boost compatible.

-First move all necessory files to your PC And format the drive.

-Right click on Pen drive> select properties> Under Ready boost tab Check 'use this device'

-After configuring how much space do you need click Ok.

3. Disabling the unwanted services

There are many services in windows 7 that we dont require for our daily use. There are some exceptional cases though. Services such as “print spooler” is only needed when we use a printer. If we use a printer only occasionally we can safely turn off that service in Windows 7 and turn it on only when we need to take a print.

Following steps to follow to disable service

-Go to Run> type 'msconfig' hit enter>under new window click on services> disable the service of printer etc.

- You can do it by using steps in point no. 4

Note:- Before disabling you must know which service you are going to disable so be careful.

4. Disabling Search Indexing Feature

In Start menu Right click on computer>Manage>Service And Application> Services> From the services search for ' Windows Search' , Double Click it and under General tab> 'Startup type' click on drop down menu and disable it.

5. Disable Windows Aero Theme

Right Click On Desktop and click on personalise > click on windows colour tab> uncheck 'Enable Transparency'

Or you may simply select Basic Theme Or Windows Classic theme.

6. Disabling Unwanted Visual Effects

Most of us have upgraded windows xp or vista to 7 due to its simple UI or its visual graphics but if have low main memory and still want to enjoy new Windows 7 then you have to downgrade its visual effects from following steps [ you can check what type of visual effects you may want to choose]

-Open Computer> System Properties> advanced system setting>Advance tab> Performance > setting> Visual effects tab.

7. Disable Unwanted Startup Apps

Click on Run> type 'msconfig' hit enter> under Startup tab uncheck the applications you don't want to start automatically and click apply and ok.

8. Disable Windows Gadgets

Move pointer to every gadgets and click on cross button.

9. Change Power Plan to maximum Performance

Click on control Panel in start menu> double click on power plan> click o arrow showing ' Show Additional Plans'> Activate 'High Performance Plan'

10.Disable Thumbnail Preview Feature

Open Computer> click on 'organize' option in drop down menu> 'Folder and Search option'>in General tab and ' Files and folders' Uncheck 'Always show icons, never thumbnails'

11. Disable Unwanted System Sounds

Click on run and type 'mmsys.cpl hit enter> go to sound tab> under sound scheme click on no Sound option> click apply and ok.

Follow the steps given below :-

1) Hold down the 'Windows' Key and Press the 'Pause/Break' button at the top right of your keyboard.
Another way is Right-Clicking 'My Computer' and then Select 'Properties'.

2) Click on the 'Advanced' tab.

3) Under 'Performance', click 'Settings'.

This copied data is stored on clipboard and is accessible over the net by a combination of javascripts and ASP.

Just try this:

1) Copy any text by ctrl+c

2) Click the Link: http://www.friendlycanadian.com/applications/clipboard.htm

3) You will see the text you copied on the Screen which was
accessed by this web page.

Moral:
Do not keep sensitive data (like passwords, creditcard numbers, PIN etc.) in the clipboard while surfing the web. It is extremely easy to extract the text stored in the clipboard to steal your sensitive information. If sufficient data is stored by mistake it would give away confidential and important information without you knowing about it.

To Avoid This
To avoid this, follow these steps:

1. Go to internet options->security

2. Press custom level

3. In the security settings, select disable under Allow paste operations via script.

How to recover MOST of scratched CD data discs

I learn an old thecnique to how to recover damaged or scratched disks
with some lost of data. In this case i have one borrowed game - MAX PAYNE 2
with a chunck of 4 mb lost with a scratch in CD1 Install. Here we cover some
special thecniques of how to create a full working CD from the scratched one.

First some tools will be needed:

1. Alcohol 120%
2. UltraISO
3. Windows XP/2000 (not tested on 95/98/me)
3. Small piece of cotton
4. Dry cleaner paper
5. Finally, oil for cooking.

First step - preparing the CD

Get the cotton and drop some water, start cleaning vertically the surface of CD.
Do it 3 times and dry the water with a piece of dry cleaner paper. With a new piece
of cotton, drop some oil for cooking and start to wet the surface like you are
washing the CD with the oil. Dry carefully now. Some particles of oil will stay on the
microsurface of the scrath. It's okay. Seems the oil helps the laser of the CD/DVD driver
to read the surface again. Sure this will work with small unreadable scratchs - some hard
scratchs loose parts of the surface of the CD where we have data and it's lost forever.
But if it is loosed try anyway. Whith this tip 80% of the small scratched CD's coud be
recovered.

Second Step - testing the CD

With Alcohol 120% make an ISO - image making wizard - and lets see if the app can
read the loosed surface. In my case Alcohol 120% had recovered 60% of the data.
This is not enough. Have tryed other appz, they do not recover all the data. But the
CD/DVD driver laser CAN recover all data in this case. the data is still there, what we do?

third step - making the new CD

With the main copy system of windows explorer you can do it. Just create one folder
with the same name of the CD label for future burn reference, and copy the CD content
to the folder. When the CD copy process find the scratch, in majority of the cases, it's
slow down the reading and will recover ALL loosed data.If not, it just tell you there's
an unreadable sector. In this case your CD is lost. But it's not my case, finally
windows explorer got all the data from the scratch and made a copy in the folder.
with the ultraISO, wrote the original CD label, drop the content of the folder and
save as Iso. You can Test the new CD just mounting the iso in the Alcohol 120%. In my
case i did ISO of the two discs from MAX PAYNE 2 and tested installing from the mounted
ISO. Works like a charm. I got the 4 mb lost again. So, I have burned the CD and now i
have a working copy from the scratched one.

Sounds too bizzarre, but works. Course you can jump the cleaning process and try to copy
the content with Windows explorer. But in my case did not work without oil...

1). Start any application, say Word. Open some large documents.

2). Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to open Windows Task Manager and click Processes tab and sort the list in descending order on Mem Usage. You will notice that WINWORD.EXE will be somewhere at the top, using multiple MBs of memory.

3). Now switch to Word and simply minimize it. (Don't use the Minimize All Windows option of the task bar).

4). Now go back to the Windows Task Manager and see where WINWORD.EXE is listed. Most probably you will not find it at the top. You will typically have to scroll to the bottom of the list to find Word. Now check out the amount of RAM it is using. Surprised? The memory utilization has reduced by a huge amount

5). Minimize each application that you are currently not working on by clicking on the Minimize button & you can increase the amount of available RAM by a substantial margin. Depending upon the number and type of applications you use together, the difference can be as much as 50 percent of extra RAM.

In any multitasking system, minimizing an application means that it won't be utilized by the user right now. Therefore, the OS automatically makes the application use virtual memory & keeps bare minimum amounts of the code in physical RAM.

HKEY_CURRRENT USER\Software\Microsoft and look for "Protected Storage System Provider".

There is a good chance that you will see this folder. If you have it. Simply delete it.

So when the person clicks on try again it redirects to the actual URL so that the victim does not know that your site is a fake site and gets his gmail.com password hacked.

If you are using AMD processors like Athlon then you can use 32-bit and 64-bit of Windows7. Intel has also released a series of processors with 64 bit architectures .

Method 1: Check 64 bit Windows 7 support with CPUZ:

There is a small freeware application called CPUZ that can check almost every aspect related with hardware information of a PC .

Now refer above image and check whether the 64bit is supported by your processor. If there is 64MT then your Intel processor support 64 bit Windows 7. If yours is an AMD processor then it should be AMD64. This test almost confirms your processor compatibility with 64 bit Windows .

1. The best way to begin searching harder with Google is by clicking the Advanced Search link.
2. This lets you search for exact phrases, "all these words", or one of the specified keywords by entering search terms into the appropriate box.
3. You can also define how many results you want on the page, what language and what file type you're looking for, all with menus.

4. Advanced Search lets you type in a Top Level Domain (like .co.uk) in the "Search within site of domain" box to restrict results.
