2018-03-24T07:03:00.000-07:00

This is an awesome serie from Peterson, I only got one, because these are very expensive. Pipes made of perfect briar, mine has beautiful birds eyes. The quality leather case, pipe pouch and tobacco pouch has been made by the Italian Claudio Albieri.Let the pictures speak for themselves.

The Art of Roger Wallenstein

2014-09-19T08:30:00.001-07:00

I wrote more about this German lawyer, but I can't get enough of his work. It is really unique, he has the guts to be different. Wallenstein makes only pipes he would like to smoke. Most of them are very short, but I would not call it a nosewarmer, because most bowls are big. I bought 12 new pipes from him, not cheap, but those are worth having in stock. Again you can see the nice colours he uses.

Olive Wood Pipes of Molina

2014-09-03T07:58:00.002-07:00

The famous Italian pipe manufactuar Molina is is an old company that has it's origins in Barasso in Lombardy. There base was the old Rossi pipe factory from the early 1900's. The still work in a part of the original building.
The series they make are not expensive, but have a good quality and a nice range of different shapes. there new serie is made of olive wood. A lot of customers were interested in pipes made of olive wood, but it was hard to get. Olive wood is vulnerable and I advise it only to pipe smokers with experience. The colour is bright and the grains are much different from the briar grains. It is always nice to complete your collection with such beauties.

Hard to get Ashton pipes

2014-08-13T01:44:00.002-07:00

I realy do like Ashton pipes, but those are very hard to get. I like the typical English style, classical, decent and good quality. Their knowledge of pipemaking is one of the best in the world. They select the briar carefully for each pipe, different briar is being used for smooth or sandblasted finishes. I hope I can get more of the in the near future.

Pipe Big Ben Avanti

2014-06-05T08:15:00.001-07:00

Gubbels produced a new serie. The name Avanti they used before in the Big Ben collection, but this one looks a little different. This #pipe is a little cheaper, thats is why it is a little less shiny and not polsihed were #Big Ben is faamous for. It still is a beautiful pipe with a good quality.

Pipe Ser Jacopo

2013-05-18T04:28:00.000-07:00

The Italian pipemakers are always wel known for their perfection. You can see it in the great shapes, beautiful colours and a lot of straight grains. Most of it all done by hand. A great artist is Ser Jacopo, I have got recently a lot of new pipes from his hand. Recently pipes got more expensive, because of the price of the briar, so also the pipes of Jacopo. I would by more, because there were so much great shapes to chose. I hope to get more of them in the future.

New Old Stock Pipes from Butz-Choquin

2013-03-09T09:00:00.002-08:00

I really got nice lot old Butz-Choquin pipes yesterday. They have at their factory in St. Claude, France a big stock of older pipes from their early years. These pipes are real maitre pipier pipes and made by the employees at their homes. The pipes differ very much from the new and modern collection of Butz-Choquin. You can see the craftmanship and the good quality of the briar, all hand made. Also the shapes differ from the modern pipes. I even foun a S.T. Dupont pipe in this lot. I think that my customers will love this new found.

I bought a nice collection of 14 pipes from him personally. Some are already added on my website, other will be listed in the next few weeks. Design Berlin Pipes

2012-12-05T00:51:00.003-08:00

Yesterday I received a lot of new Design Berlin pipes. I always selling these pipes very well. The pipes are from a good quality and are very friendly priced. Were other pipemakers going up with their prices, they stay very low. Special about most of the Design Berlin pipes is that those have a twin bore system. The advantage is that it gives a cooler smoke and it is also easier to smoke.

Design Berlin pipes are made in series and also in freehands. This German company is very active and brings also a lot of novelties.

I will add the next few weeks a lot of new Design Berlin pipes, to see what's new click here!

Pipe Savinelli Walnut

2012-02-13T05:35:00.000-08:00

The shape and the carving of the briar are reminders of the chestnut. A pipe created to emphasize how to shape our raw material: the briar and the excellent handiwork of our skilled workers are able to copy in a magnificent way something that already excists in nature. A natural pipe, which is perfect to be smoked. The varied colour of the mouthpiece recalls the colour of the nut-tree. For the classical smokers, we offer a second mouthpiece in the traditional black colour.

Pipes From Roger Wallenstein

2012-02-01T02:21:00.000-08:00

Roger Wallenstein smoked his first pipe when he was 14, that was even before his first kiss. As a student he made a tour to Denmark to get to know more of the great Danish pipemakers, he loved the work of Larsen and Bang. He became a lawyer, but pipe smoking and pipe making was his passion. He moved to Ireland were he now makes his pipes.

I am a great fan his work. I love the shape and the finishes, you can see on each pipe his love for the sea. His pipes are hard to get and I am very glad that I could order earlier this week 18 new pipes from his hands. You can see them very soon here!

2012-02-01T01:24:00.000-08:00

For many years we can find in each Zippo catalog a great selection of Elvis Presley Zippo lighters. That is possible, because their are many collectors of Elvis Zippo lighters and his music is still appreciated by young and old.

Pipe Stanwell Christmas

2011-11-30T05:06:00.000-08:00

This time of the year is always special for the pipe lovers, because in this periode there are always appearing great Christmas editions from several pipe brands. Most famous for their Christmas edition is Peterson. But now I have some real beauties from Stanwell. The Stanwell X-Mas pipes are really great. I love them! Especially the rustic version is very beautiful, rustic is normally not my kind of favorite, but this one is very well made.

I think both pipes are ver expensive, but it will be worth.

There is some great art work done. I was amazed how beautiful it was, I need to show it. I have many limited editions, but this Zippo is really awesome. It is a high polish chrome Zippo lighter with a beautiful lion on top. Normally there are always emblems on the front, but not often you see them on top. This is a must have for each collector, but those are very rare, only 500 pieces were made.

Early Freehand Pipes from Big Ben

2011-11-10T12:54:00.001-08:00

Today I was very lucky. I got a visit from the sales representive from Gubbels, the company who is manufacturing Big Ben. They recently moved to another building and they find a lot of older stuff, what is really great. At the moment Big Ben isn't making any freehand pipes, but in the early years they did. I could buy the whole bunch, and sure I did. It was for a lot of money, but it was worth buying it, because each pipe is very special and unic. There are pipes with beautiful grains, birds eyes and of course very great shapes and designs. There are a few pipes listed, but I will add more the next few weeks: Pipe Big Ben Specials & Freehands

Pipe Butz Choquin

2011-10-22T03:10:00.000-07:00

In 1858 created Jean-Baptiste Choquin with his son-in-law Gustave Butz their first pipe. It was a briar pipe with silver ornaments and there was a part in bone of albatross. The company was founded in in Metz and took the name Butz-Choquin. In 1951 the brand BC was bought by the Berrod-Regad company and moved to Saint-Claude. This company came with new ideas and vision and put this brand again on the map. They also started with the export of these great quality pipes. 10 series became 70 series and this brand got worldwide fame. Since 2002 Fabien Guichon is responsible for the developping of the BC pipes.

I think BC hat some beautiful designs and some great shapes. They always develop something new and interesting. Some pipes are so different, that those are really recognisable. Also the price is good.
