Christmas gifts & shopping week 2 : Lamps and Candle holders

Happy Sunday....Welcome back my readers and how are the winter days going? Are you feeling chilly or the fireplaces and hot coffees are keeping warm. So this is the end of second week of December and the Christmas eve and the the day itself is just week and a half away. How's your shopping going? This time I am adding to my bedrooms new bedside lamps. I didn't had any because I cant keep my side tables clean. you can always find one thing or other by my side and guys lamps need space where they can rest and show the grandeur of their light but I was lazy and the table were occupied my my books or rubber bands or newspaper, literally like anything. But now, I have decided to more organized and keep all things in the right places after I use them and therefore will have plenty of space for these light givers.

I was looking for something classy and sophisticated and this why I bought these two pair of lamps in marble. They are exquisite. I got one for my bedroom and other for my mom's room as her old ones need to be changed. For myself I will keeping these ones as they go my bedroom furniture which is white and brown and the black one will got to my mom. This will be her Christmas present, you know.

I have different shaped bulbs, though both are yellow colored lights, one is circular while other one is bullet shaped. I really liked the bullet one. Which one are your favorites do tell I will be super keen in knowing your choices.

Besides I also got a pair of candle holder and I think you guys are gonna love these. Aren't they beautiful. They have just spices my bedroom a lot. I got two pairs of these, again one in color black and the other in white the logic remains the same does with lamp shades.

I am really enjoying decorating my house with all this stuff and I am keeping myself busy, since you ant go out and dine because this pandemic have taken big toll on our lives. So this is the best way to feel happy and festive.

Christmas Shopping 2020 Week 1 : Cushion Decor

Welcome to the first week of the Christmas month

So this time I am doing something different this Christmas. I will be sharing Christmas haul posts with you guys every week, of what all I got. Festiva s are all about merry making and feeling delightful. Everyone of us have the right to feel the best of ourselves and be enchanted by the world around us. This is particularly true, when its December and the festive mode with Christmas Carols is on.

These days I am really into home décor and this week I got some cushion covers for the living room as well as my bedroom. I have experimented a lot with cushions from prints to cut outs, you name a design type and I have it with me. This is like a tradition to change the décor a bit when festivals are around plus I get bored with the same looking rooms after a while, so colors need to be changed and some coordination has to be done. We also have got our house painted afresh and now have changed color of the walls, and therefore, it was necessary for to get those old covers out and get some new ones.

This time got embodied ones. I am really fascinated by pearls, golden beads and diamond like stones so this time your girl got her hands dirty and got some very unique pieces.

These cushions are store called 'kutts and cushions' that is in Amritsar and owned by a smart woman in her late thirties. She always have something new for me to buy so This time I laid my hands these beautiful pieces.

I got these two in shade of red and I think this will called burgundy color with the Buddha face in all gold over it. Actually I got one of my my living room painted in color Cranberry zing from Asian paints and these two got perfectly with room décor.

For the bedroom which was initially painted pink in color now has been changed to venetian turquoise and frost grey, the colors yo will find Dulux velvet touch paint and so I decided to get these cushion cover a chunky circular design. Guys this really very reflective piece with crystal like stones arranged very sophistically right in the middle of the piece.

I also got the same in cream color as well so as to tone down the darker shades a bit. I think whites and creams or I may the neutral colors light up the room if you have lot of dark shades n the room already. So this was the though process behind purchasing these beauties.

Hello beauties

I am here again with another post. I know you all must be missing me and so do I. Diwali is a busy festival. So much is going around from cleaning to decorating home, shopping and gifting and then visiting family and friends. I hope all of you had a great one. I will be soon sharing all the home decor items that I got and decor ideas with you all in the coming post.

But today's post is product review post and that's again from Nivea. I was little skeptical about posting another product review consecutively on the blog and was thinking of doing some other post and wait for sometime for posting this one. But then I thought that why I am thinking so much. If love a brand and product so much, why shouldn't I post another post on it. So this was the entire thought process that had been going on and I wished to share with you all. Well enough of peeking into mind and let's see what we have here.

Nivea Milk face cleanser is the product of the day.

PACKAGING: The cleanser bottle is very artistic in shape. I think its in the shape of big water droplet. The colors are classic white and blue. I have got it in variant rose while its available in honey, turmeric and saffron.

MY TAKE : The product inside, as the name suggests, is milky white with pink colored granules in it. The granules work great in gently exfoliating your skin and the milky solution calms and cleanses your skin very well. If you don't want your face wash to be harsh on your skin then this is the one you should pick from the store. I have a long history of acne and I am very careful about the products specially for my face. But I put my trust in Nivea and I must tell you that it didn't fail me. I haven't got a any new pimple after its regular use for a month now and that was big thing for my skin.

There is turmeric variant especially for acne prone skin but I really love rose and therefore went this one and I don't think I have any regrets or so. I am very confident that I will be repurchasing this cleanser several times and the added advantage is that it's not at all heavy on your pocket.

WILL I RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS? A definite yes from my side.

NIVEA body cream in cocoa butter

Who all like NIVEA ? I think majority of us like this brand. It's such a brand whose just name is enough to assure of the quality of the product. I have been using it's numerous products whether its their body lotion or lip balms they have never failed my expectations. The results have been impeccable.

Well today I would be reviewing one of their newly launched product that's body cream in variant cocoa butter.

A bit about the brand: ''NIVEA is one of the most recognized and trusted skin care brands. Since 1911, the year NIVEA creme was born, we have been close to consumers; offering them compelling, innovative products.''

What does the product says: The rich formula provides moisture and helps smooth away dullness for 48 hours, leaving your skin softly fragranced with scent of cocoa after just one application and regular use.

On the Skin feeling : light or rich indicator it provides you 4/5 of richness.

The cream jar says that it is a deep moisture serum. The formula locks in deep moistureand gives noticeable smooth skin for forty eight hours.

My experience with the product:

This body cream comes in goldenish colored plastic jar with all the brand markings on it in blue. The typical of Nivea that marks its authenticity. Its a 250ml jar for 275INR but I got it on discount from Nykaa.

I have a dry skin and therefore was looking for something which could keep my skin well hydrated for this coming winter season. As I am only impressed by the brand, when I saw the product and it was on deal, How I couldn't buy it. So that is the buying story.

I really liked it and i have summarized my views in the following pointers so that its easy and quick for you to read it.

Pros:

1. Wonderful fragrance. The one you will fall in love with.

2. Great moisturisation. Skin feels soft and smooth.

3. Say bye bye to any kind of flakiness and dryness

4. You get amount at reasonable price. Don't forget the discounts that you may get.

5. Stands up to its claim of 48 hours moisturisation

6. Good and sturdy packaging

Cons:

I could not find any. I am big fan coco butter fragrance. However, if you wish for other fragrance the classic Nivea fragrance(that blue colored cream jar) is also available as option.

Surviving this corona times. yes times have been hard. From the disease itself to the study and job loss, it has been difficult times. But don't worry God always has been kind and this too shall pass. Everyone of you just need to keep holding on a bit longer. The vaccines are around the corner. Just breathe and keep safe.

To entice your eyes and your fragrant senses I am here with two new fragrances from Bath and body works. This fragrances are particularly going to interest you since its the fall season. One is the mist and other one is the body cream. Let's not beat around the bush any longer and directly jump into the review of the two products.

1. Brown Sugar and Fig

This is a perfect autumn scent. Let's talk about the outer packaging first. It comes in transparent colored plastic bottle. It has maple leaves over it that are very sparkly. Honestly this glittery leaves really attracted me, even before I tried the fragrance.

I really like this potion inside the bottle. Its sugary and sweet fragrance. I particularly fan of fruity and fresh fragrances and this was first for me try something that's very sweet and I tell you guys this is totally a thumbs up for me. Autumn time is equivalent to this fragrance that is it is autumn in a bottle you know what I mean.

Since its a mist and unlike EDT and EDP stays only for 5 to 6 hours and then may need re application as personal choice although soft light scent stays with you all day long.

2. Hot Cocoa and cream

This body cream comes in brown colored metallic tube with graphic of hot chocolate and marshmallows with cream on it. It is more of winter kind a fragrance.

The scent can be overpowering initially especially if you have a sensitive nose. It was for me but later on I think I got used to it and it got better. However, the plus point is that due to is strong scent it stays all day long. You can smell it even after long hectic day and if you layer it with other products of the same variant then you know you will be a hot chocolate for many around you. 😁😅

If you ask me, I would not buy it the second time since BBW have numerous other scents that I will like to try and this has not impressed me that much. So yes this is my take on the product.

I hope you find the review useful. My only intention is to review every fragrance possible so that it becomes easy for you all to make up your mind. This is essential because most of are ordering are makeup and beauty products online and don't have the privilege of actually going into the store checking the products out. I wish these reviews help you in making the right choice and saving your precious money.

Monsoon has finally reached north India. I enjoy rains a lot. The temperature goes down, the fresh air blows and plants look so freshened up. Monsoons also mean that months of September and October are not far away and so does the wedding season. October onwards, it is busy wedding period here in India. Most of them happen during this time. I think that is because India is a tropical country the weather in this part of the year is most favorable and comfortable especially if one is planning wedding and other related ceremonies outside in a resort or a farm house.
