This example uses a French Braid Headband as the base before creating the bows. You can learn how to do the base for this hairstyle, the French Front here… youtu.be In this tutorial, I only had four bows, but you can actually do more if you would like. I just like how the bows are only on one side, more like an accent. I receive comments all the time when I wear this hairstyle! Items Needed: A brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, hairspray or pomade, a hairpin (not a bobby pin), and one hair elastic. Time Requirement: 5-10 minutes. Enjoy!

Right after the movie premier, Linda Flowers, the lead hairstylist on The Hunger Games movie set, personally reached out to CuteGirlsHairstyles when she saw how popular our tutorial was! It is super easy to do, and uses the basic French Braiding technique with a small twist to the stranding. When you are done with the braid, you simply grab the center part of the braid about two inches down and pull it up on top of the ponytail and the whole braid literally “pops” out into this super cute 3D braid! It is called a cage braid because the braid effect looks like a ribcage.
