the days are out and the booking offices are flooded for a ticket to paradise away from home.... seems Home would be no more sweet from April to June....thanks to Indian democracy and a diktat Pakistan.....lives of an average Indian is becoming .......................................................u are always welcome to India.

Zeitgeist?

Ever wondered where does all the money come from? Why do you need to pay interets on loans? Is Federal Bank or other mother banks under the control of the government? Who controls the price of Oil in the Gulf? Why political uprisals and wars take place? are the Hitlers living among us? How can the world go Green?

Addendum, the sequel to Zeitgeist- the movie, is rather a documentary type. So much so anyone who watches it will start to believe that everything revolves around MONEY. Well, it had been so for centuries. So whats new about it?

Zeitgeist-The movie was all about how the various institutions like religion, gods, worship...anything that technology had not yet proved, was just because that they never existed at all in the first place. However, the movie goes on to explain how and why there was intruging coincides, though they all flourished at differnt times. To put in other words, all was just mere control of the upper section of the socities over the majority with theories revolving around the stars.

On the other hand, Addendum is more a sort of reality check on ourselves. How and what for the present systems like Government, banking , financial sectors and the nature of money flow itself. Where does all the money come from?

With all the recession happening, one can truly understand how all this is created and by whom and why? The movie is apt.

The movie further proceeds to sat that for all the resources we have in plenty on earth there needs no control. The movie supports the THE VENUS project which opposes all the fundamental functionaries of this world.

The service is a premium one, a disappointment to existing customers.

Though a promise of special offer for existing customers, keeps hopes high.

RELIANCE recently launched DTH service across the nation. The DTH platform is 5th to venture into this unexplored or under explored customer base, and Reliance wants to do it the BIG way.
Though the price at this situation seems to be comparatively low, the promos are not good enough.
For the introductory packages do not offer the best of public demand channels.
The packages are yet to be sorted out to be more viewer specific.
The platform is the running on MPEG-4 technology.
The Video quality is best, the audio appears better.
I still prefer staying with TATASKY.

US-India Nuclear deal likely to survive!

The Manmohan Singh government proved the majority as the House of the People went to voting on the Confidence motion moved by the PM himself. Earlier, the Left parties had withdrawn support for the UPA government over the Issue.
Now, it is likely that the Government will complete its tenure ans comfortably passes the nuclear deal with United States of America.

The PM has yesterday asked for proof if it could be proved that the UPA was trying to bribe the trust votes from MP's . And today, his wish been granted.
MP's from opposition thronged the centre stage of parliament showing the bribe money which amounted to Rs. 1 crore in cash which had been given as bribe money for his trust vote for the Government.
All this drama went live on tv and the members required the Pm resign his post immediately.

In India the easiest way to enter a living room of a family would be through their television sets. And the more practical one too! Thanks to the burgeoning population and the aesthetic values the Indians preserve.
The era of dominance of television sets by the Government owned Prasar Bharati's DD(Doordarshan) has ended. Taken over by the rapidly growing cable networks across India, one can no longer see TV antennas even at the most inaccessible regions of Interior India. The decade has seen more and more satellite television channels spurting from nowhere! With more than many languages you could beam your telecast across with different frequencies and languages.
Its not the cable system that's making news now! The new mantra is DTH .
With the implementation of Conditional Access Systems(CAS) by the government people of India had to pay more for what they wanted to watch. This resulted in evolution of DTH in India. Initially, the government ventured into the field much without proper analysis of the system named under DD DIRECT+ . Then it was the DISH DTH owned by the ZEE networks with a majority of the shares. Followed by the TATA's TATASKY. The new baby on the block is SUN networks' SUN DIRECT . All have prospective packages for their customers. Its yet to be seen whether the Good ol cable system still survives!
For now the DTH seems to have an upper hand !! and i think may continue to do so......

With the Left Parties withdrawing support to the UPA government, the Congress is rallying in for support from every single MP to sustain the government through its tenure.

Congress party leaders are busy having talks with all the minnor parties for supporting the government. Though the SP has moved forward and offered the Letter of suport to the President today, its yet to be seen if the smaller parties still vests the confidence in the government.
And the fun part is that its sort of a bargain! What will the government offer in exchange for the support of the MP. Well, the demands vary from a new CBI(Central Bureau of Investigation) chief, economic reforms transforming the corporate sector, a separate new state of Telangana, assured LOK SABHA seats,... it all depends what you have to offer on the other hand whether the government would likely support or not.

The Pm's categorical statement in which he states that he would approach the IAEA for the approval. The statement also stated that the government had the number to prove majority even if the Left parties pulls out!
This statement has effectively pushed the fast forward button on the HIGH command of Left parties and, withdrew the support for the UPA.

Its been raining chaos throughout the state. India has succumbed to the price rise and the Finance minister could not do anything to control the soaring price rise. Inflation rate now stands at 11.24% for the week that ended last Friday.

While the prices are on a ride to clouds, there is a severe shortage of fuel available across the state of Tamil Nadu down south. Chennai commuters now resort to using MRTS(Mass Rapid Transport System) or Metropolitan buses rather taking their vehicle out of the garage as they are not able to find enough fuel on which it could run even though at a hiked price. The truckers on their part are on a strike against the hiked prices on fuel which further attributes to above said.

All these are not concerning the PMO or the other political parties. Its the NUKE DEAL. The UPA led coalition Government has fallen to its own peer pressure. The Left parties have made their stance clear that they would not support the government on the DEAL. However, the PM is now concerned with attending the G8 summit and gaining rapport with smaller parties like Samajwadhi Party(SP), so that even though the Left withdraws the support the Government still survives.
Clearly indicating his dedication to fulfill the commitment made to Mr. Bush in 2005, the PM explains the SP regarding the deal who feels its important to keep communal forces from coming back to Parliament.
Nevertheless none of the parties in UPA including the DMK is ready to face the elections any time soon with such high inflation rates, and uneasy political scenario.
Left parties always had a good relationship with Congress which is quickly turning soar with a new partnership developing with SP.

Times are changing.

Gujjars towards peace!

It had been long weeks of gruesome-unheard war raging at Bansala, the stronghold of gujjars.
All that started when the gujjars felt anguish over the fact that they remained Backward castes though they were small in number. And you would be wrong if you thought that they needed to project themselves as a forward minded community. Its the other way round here in India, thanks to all the pomp and luxuries the most backward communities are enjoying.

The Unseen "Divide n Rule"

The schedule Tribes(ST's)
The schedule Castes(SC's)
Most Backward Caste(MBC)
Backward Caste(BC)
and the remaining fall into the unserved categories.

In India the politicians have learnt that the DIVIDE AND RULE left by the Britishers was indeed a great notion to rule a government and bring down a ruling government. Be it any law, from job vacancies in government jobs to reservations in top-notch educational institutions, the reserved castes enjoy the better creamier pie leaving the crumbs to the qualified.

Hence every community in India fights it way backward to enjoy more reservations....and people vie to get(buy) a certificate from them. Minorities are always pampered.

It is the same status the Gujjars want. They need to be categorized as ST's.
The Gujjar stance:

In Rajastan the Meeras a community with larger number of people are ST's
The Vasundara Raje government promised to demote them as ST's when elected tp power.
The commission's report which was set up to look into this matter last year ended in favour of the government.

The gujjars never allowed the postmortem of the people who died in clash with the armed forces against their uncalled strikes and rail-rokos, until late last week when the gujjars thought that the government had more important issues like containing inflation, protests over Fuel Hikes and hence decided to call for a peace talk between the government.

Today the first talks seems to be promising for the gujjars and the government and still three more to go for a minimum.

Yet another victorious day!
Indians are really good at it, particularly the communist parties of India. When they declare it as a Bandh it remains so. Public life comes to a total standstill. Left parties have been propagating strikes since their existence. Kerala witnesses a strike so often that it is no more than a day-off from work, stay at home, relax and spend some good time with family.
Today's strike was no different. West Bengal seems to have improved upon it. No transport option for the public was available what-so-ever. The trains were canceled off, buses never took off from depots, flights were either delayed or canceled. People stranded at stations and airport was a common sight.The only vehicle i saw was an ambulance that had the roads all for itself.
Its the turn of Trinamool congress to show protests tomorrow for they too have called for a strike in W.B .

However on the brighter side the day witnessed many states subsidizing on the fuel hike especially on LPG. Delhi residents will have to pay only Rs. 10 additionally on LPG. States like Tamil Nadu, Kerala , West Bengal, Delhi have already decided to reduce the sales taxes on fuel.
On the lighter note none are run bye Congress. But it was the PM who called the support of the states in this crunch situation.

Left parties have called for a strike in India!

As a outright consequence of today's fuel price hike left parties have called for nationwide protests all over India starting from tomorrow. Initially the states ruled by the left regime will go into Bandh(or strike) tomorrow namely Kerala, West Bengal and Tripura. It is supposed to be 12 hour strike calling for a total standstill of normal public life. All public service utilities will not be functioning except the essential emergency services. The left parties are trying to rally support from other state parties like the Mayawati run BSP.
Earlier the Left parties decided to give a subsidy and lowered taxes on the fuel reducing the burden on the aam-aadmi(the common man).
The Prime Minister welcomed this move and rallied support from the public stating that it is "Either higher prices now or no fuel later" quoting to the deficit faced by the oil companies. He also wanted the States to congregate efforts to reduce the effect of indispensable hike.

The crunch of the fuel hike comes into effect this midnight!

With the inflation rates soaring (about 8% last Friday) your money in Banks no more going to earn you. Infact you would end up loosing as the interest rates are only about 5% .

Petroleum Ministry announces much anticipated price hike!

The ministry today decided to increase the prices of petrol, diesel and LPG(Liquefied Petroleum Gas). This price rise has been much anticipated as the oil companies were facing a crunch deficit which went over 2 lakh crores. The government had taken a back seat till the Karnataka state elections were over which they ultimately lost to the BJP by a margin of about 20 seats. Now that there's a few months for the next elections for the four states, the government feels that the time is just right to hike the prices.
Petrol price up by Rs. 5.00
Diesel up by Rs. 3.00
and LPG by Rs. 50/- per cylinder.
However the kerosene prices remain untouched!
Btw you can't find kerosene stoves used in kitchens except in deep rural regions having no access to electricity!

The oil companies were reported selling only branded fuel due to the deficit they incurred. Rationing of fuel seems to have a long run into the future.
Soon after the hike the left parties announced a week-long country wide agitation against the price hike starting tomorrow!
