Who else had fun over President's Day Weekend? What a great weekend it was. The weather was surprisingly good for this time of year. I spent a lot of time with my friends and could not have had a better weekend. So with Monday being a holiday, all of the clubs were packed on Sunday night. I was walking around at my favorite Sunday night spot, when I saw a familiar face walking through the crowd. I could have sworn I'd seen him somewhere. Turns out, it was a rather tall person in an Abraham Lincoln costume. Talk about going all out for our presidents of the past. I thought about it, and what an awesome and unexpected excuse to wear a costume out on the town?

I was walking down the street the other day and saw one of those things you always see, but just kinda joke about. You know what I'm talking about, when a pet and their owner look a like or at least, quite similar. It was this older gentleman, with a wrinkled face and his English Bulldog. They both looked like they could only move at a very slow pace, but had seen the world and could tell you some amazing stories. MTV Movie Awards 2011

Did you watch the 2011 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night? Per usual, the Twilight kids took a sweep, winning multiple awards in multiple categories, and often beating out our beloved Harry Potter to do so. What about you guys? Do you prefer Harry Potter or Twilight? We know everyone loves Edward and Bella (they won Best Kiss, of course), but we've long been fans of Harry Potter. We feel the book series and the films are much more developed and mature - and basically, are worlds better than the Twilight films. Basically, you can't even compare. It seems whoever is voting on the MTV Movie Awards disagrees with us, however. Twilight took home best movie, and Robert Pattinson won three awards - for best male performance and best fight scene as well as best kiss along with Kristen Stewart, who also won for best female performance. Meanwhile, Harry Potter star Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy in the series, represented the HP team with a win for best villain (well deserved, if you ask us!).

We're not sure who wins in terms of purchases made on our site. Our Harry Potter costumes tend to fly off the shelves year after year, as do our Twilight costumes and Twilight props. Harry Potter wands are always best sellers, as are the popular Gryffindor scarf (we own three...). Meanwhile, our Edward wigs are always at the top, as are our random Twilight products, such as this great set of six magnets. We don't know about you, but we're so excited to see Tim Burton's rendition of the fabulous fairy tale Alice in Wonderland. We're planning on heading the premiere decked out in our finest costumes - Here are our favorite Alice in Wonderland costumes:

Get Ready for July 4th!

We’ve got a birthday to celebrate! In just a couple of days America will turn 233 years old! Everyone seems to celebrate it in one way or another, or at least acknowledge it.

I just say the words, ”4th of July” and immediately you’ve got images of fireworks, parades, and barbeques flooding your mind. Everything isred, white, and blue. Uncle Sam has a big grin and is dancing about in the streets. Flags are waving away and there’s an overall feeling of happiness, right? At the very least, most of us think of the 4th of July as the start of summer and spend some time outside basking or playing in the sun – slathered in sunscreen, of course.

Here’s some interesting facts you may not know about Independence Day. Share them with your friends and family and you’ll look utterly brilliant, and, no doubt be the life of the party on the 4th of July.

The first Independence Day was celebrated on July 8th, 1776 – not on the 4th!
The 4th of July wasn’t even a federal legal holiday until 1941!
In 1776 there were 2.5 million people in the 13 original colonies. Last year on the 4th, there were 302 million in 50 states.
The US imported about $216 million of fireworks in 2006, with $206 million from China.
We also imported $5.3 million in flags – again, mostly from China.
Americans eat more than 150 million hot dogs on the 4th of July!

Throw on your party clothes and celebrate Uncle Sam’s birthday. Do it in style. Red, white, and blue is the way to go - whether you’re in a bikini, shorts and a t-shirt, or a suit.
