Universal’s infamous legacy of horror will come to an afterlife in “Universal Monsters Remix,”

2012-08-27T10:11:00.000-04:00

Universal’s infamous legacy of horror will come to an afterlife in “Universal Monsters Remix,” an all-new terrifying experience that re-imagines the classic horror icons of yesteryear for the 21st century and immerses them in the twisted confines of electronica-inspired music during “Halloween Horror Nights” at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Set within the antechambers of an eerily gothic castle, the new “Universal Monsters Remix” maze will unleash a cast of movies most legendary creatures, including Frankenstein’s Monster and his Bride, Dracula and his Brides, Phantom of the Opera and The Wolf Man. From deep within the stone fortress, accompanied by ominous strobe lighting effects, guests will traverse dark and dank arteries of rotting catacombs, hallowed underground crypts and pagan sacrificial burial chambers. Laced with the murmur of dialog from Universal’s catalogue of horror films, guests will be besieged by the relentless sounds of high-energy, horror-inspired dance, dub-step and industrial music.
This year’s “Halloween Horror Nights” at Universal Studios Hollywood brings together the sickest minds in horror to immerse guests in the living, breathing, three-dimensional world of the most notorious and terrifying creatures. Featuring a slate of unrivaled film production quality mazes, terror-filled Scare Zones and a fully re-imagined “Terror Tram” experience, uniquely themed to today’s most definitive horror properties, “Halloween Horror Nights” will taunt, terrorize and torment guests with incomparable spellbinding and spine-chilling haunted attractions.
“Halloween Horror Nights” experiences will include an immersive new maze, “The Walking Dead: Dead Inside,” based on AMC’s critically-acclaimed, Golden Globe-nominated and Emmy Award-winning TV series; “Welcome to Silent Hill,” based on the popular video games and film franchise; a new maze by legendary shock rocker, “Alice Cooper Goes to Hell 3D,” and a reimagined “La Llorona: Cazadora de Niños” maze, based on the terrifying Mexican and Latin American legend that has terrified children for centuries. An all new “Terror Tram: Invaded by The Walking Dead” attraction, also inspired by the TV series, will invite guests to navigate the haunted environs of the world-famous movie and television studio backlot and come face to face with hordes of flesh-eating, blood-drooling and groaning “walkers.” Additional haunted attractions to be announced shortly.
The theme park’s favorite thrill-ride attractions will also remain open during “Halloween Horror Nights,” including the popular “Transformers: The Ride—3D,” “The Simpsons Ride,” “Revenge of the Mummy – The Ride” and “Jurassic Park In the Dark.”
Details on “Halloween Horror Nights” are available at Halloween Horror Nights, on Facebook at: “Halloween Horror Nights – Hollywood” and on Instagram @HorrorNightsHollywood or #UniversalHHN. Halloween horror nights 22 construction

Update on construction on Halloween horror nights at Universal Orlando Florida, August 27, 2012 New York and Jefferson still have a bunch of lighting on top of the buildings. I figured if you do smoke machines and lighting due to the parade superstar parade that goes on. I think that would be an okay scare zone that day in choreographed it right. But sometimes they can't do that more information to come. When it's available to take care

Halloween horror nights 22. My thoughts

2012-08-26T13:15:00.000-04:00

My thoughts are very simple and very straightforward. I think Halloween horror nights 22 will be sought in, but I think their stuff. That is going to be thrown together, and why are they having a Las Vegas house in 22 21 was the lady locked. You thought they would have the house for Halloween horror nights on that event. But now they have a minimal scare zone with fake plastic Masks. It shows That Halloween horror nights is not going all out anymore. It seems like Halloween horror nights is just making universal money and makes them less and less money each year and claims they're going over the top. That makes sense to me, ladies and gentlemen. It really doesn't. Why would they say they're going over the top, and they'll have any good set pieces on the streets. All I can sayIs yes, the Silver Star Parade, but set pieces and theater can be rolled out on the street. So they can keep the set pieces, backstage, and I won the event starts They can roll it out to the proper spike mark on the street, but it seems. They don't do that basic awful lot of money to build rolling set pieces, and parts of the arts and design department don't have basic stagecraft knowledge. They're good writers are good storytellers, but they lack theater experience Well that's all I have to say Until next time talking to

Halloween horror nights 22. My thoughts

2012-08-26T11:01:00.000-04:00

My thoughts on Halloween horror nights 22 is very different thing about Halloween horror nights 22 brings me back to Halloween horror nights 21 Hollywood 21. Your luck has run out, Lady luck. It was an okay character, not a best characters they made by the character just there. That's how I remember it. It was the character that just wouldn't die kind of marketing decided to use lady walked. And so they use lady luck that the plastic masks in our scare zone were just so crazy knowing what to expect this year, and Halloween horror nights 22 is very, very, very different. That is true. We'll know what's going on yet, but the speculations of a Victorian mansion. There is a speculation of dead silence coming back out. There is a lot of questions on what's going on, while we will learn that on August 30, 2012. Until next time take care

Universal Says the saw is the law for halloween horror nights at universal

2012-08-26T09:27:00.000-04:00

The tragic and demented account of Leatherface and his deranged family of cannibals set the stage for this year’s new maze, “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Saw Is The Law,” based on filmmaker Tobe Hooper’s notoriously unsettling 1974 horror film classic at “Halloween Horror Nights” at Universal Studios Hollywood, Southern California’s premier Halloween event.
This original American horror film tells the story of five young friends who unsuspectingly fall victim to the ghastly terrors and torment of a depraved and cannibalistic Texas clan. The film, hailed among the most influential horror movies in cinematic history, will now be meticulously recreated into a disturbingly gruesome “Halloween Horror Nights” maze.
Those who dare to step into the inner workings of a slaughterhouse maze will be gripped with vivid telltale signs of imminent doom. Gruesome and blood-soaked scenes from the controversial classic will terrorize guests as they experience a labyrinth that will captivate all senses and render them defenseless when met with nightmarish images of mutilated bodies on bloody meat hooks; become paralyzed by putrid odors of decomposed corpses; navigate their way through human bones and animal pelts suspended from the ceiling; and run from the unmistakable roaring sound of a chainsaw revving to life when Leatherface lunges from the darkness in search of victims.

I really want to see a return to an icon house

2012-08-25T13:16:00.001-04:00

I really want to see a return to an icon house. The casino theme was all over the advertisements and the projections showed the 21 logo, but the lack of a house was a real downer. I also want Universal to go back to the hectic houses of Catacombs, Havoc and The Hallow. For some reason this year's houses seemed really conserved. Don't get me wrong, the scares were there, the houses just didn't have that in your face on edge feel to them in my opinion. I would take a weak house to have some really strong houses like the ones I listed. I can't see the event going two parks in terms of houses because from what I've heard, IOA does not have the best house locations. It may be in Universal's best interest however to open Superhero Island and WWoHP just to help spread the crowds and put roaming actors in IOA

I strongly believe that Bloody Mary was the best icon halloween horror nights

2012-08-25T13:03:00.000-04:00

I strongly believe that Bloody Mary was the best icon so far in terms of marketability AND use at the event itself. The commercials and website were awesome, and while most people hated the house, I really enjoyed it, especially being able to see the story arc from the website come full circle. Regardless of how people felt about the house, her presence throughout the event was palpable. I'll never forget walking through the hanging pumpkins and hearing her name whispered three times, followed by all of the pumpkins going dark.

If Universal wants to continue using icons, I think that they really need to follow this framework. Pick an icon who will have a strong central story for the fans, but also make sense for the masses that don't spend hours on the website. Also, having an icon that was tied to a casino theme with no casino house was a strange choice. Same with Fear from last year. If you're going to spend that much time, effort, and money creating an icon, then give it a dedicated house, or at least have it appear in the other houses to tie things together!

EDIT: By the way, I would love to see UO take a few notes from the new kids on the block when it comes to HHN. From the pictures that I saw, HHN at Universal Studios Singapore looked AWESOME!! If you haven't already seen some pictures, then go check them out. The detail in the apocalypse-themed scarezone was incredible!! Now I know that the event was done on a much smaller scale over there than it is here, but I have felt like our scarezones have been dropping in quality recently. It always feels like there are one, maybe two, great zones, with the rest being way under-par for what this event has become. My $0.02.

My thoughts On Halloween horror nights 22

2012-08-20T14:09:00.000-04:00

Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is Hollowing horror nights 22 headquarters, bringing you a new information, and I might pick the best haunted house this year. And I know, the website has not been put up yet. But my theory is going to be a Victorian house, a gargoyle house, and Hate to say it , but a dub step remix houseWhy you may ask a dub step remix house. You may ask. Well, I think, what I see is a house being thrown together at the last minute and you know what happens when this row houses together last-minute. It becomes a cesspool of crap. Remember the hurricane back in 2005. They did not get any the streets done well with sound stage 40 abruptly ended Prepare to see not so much arts and design in one house. Now, the Penn and Teller House is going to be fun. Not scary but fun, think of a fun house jacks fun house. It's going to be something like that. mixed with Las Vegas

Halloween Horror Nights 22 chatter

2012-07-30T10:19:00.003-04:00

^^Are we sure they weren't moving them for the daily show stops they have? Or because they had the Minion float out for the grand opening this morning?

Because they aren't going to leave them out in the elements for the next 4 months.

Where do they usually put them for this three month span? Do they ship them completely off property?

May i ask what F.A.K.E is?

They are one of the main set design companies Universal uses to build houses.

Something just occurred to me... maybe that photo Armando posted is from then digging an actual "Creature Pit" in the house???? They could do something like that if the house was in a building that is going to be torn down afterwards anyway!!!!

Pretty legitimate point but do you think they would want to even remotely risk safety of park goers by having them enter a live demolition site? Albeit there may not be anything structurally wrong with the SS. And I believe I heard demolition already started? Idk, guess I'll just have to try and peep it out when I go back to Uni later this month

I'm sorry I was being sorta smart alecky and also at that time hoping the building wasn't coming down. It has, the house in question has been scrapped... as far as I have heard since then at least. (today's revelation of 8 houses has taken everyone by surprise) And safety issues would prohibit that area for use as you said.
