My Review
Max Lucado's "Just Like Jesus" devotional is a 30 day walk with Jesus designed to deepen your faith, and encourage you to live a life with the heart of Jesus. Lucado is a very good writer. He highlights steps in hearing, reflecting and speaking that focus on knowing Jesus better. Each chapters are meaty and short enough to fit into our busy schedule. At the end of each daily devotional, It leaves the readers a thought provoking questions that made you reflect and think all day.

I recommend this book to people who are desiring to learn more about the character traits of Jesus and who wants to seek and live intimately with Him.

My Review

We love this book! It is a delightful book for tweens and a great encouragement for girls who feels awkward about themselves and who are struggling with bullying issues. Here's Lily is a christian based book. I definitely would suggest this book series to any mother asking it for their own daughter. This is a great gift too for your little lady this coming Valentines Day.

MY REVIEW: Cliques, Hicks and Ugly Sticks written by KD McCrite is a great book for preteens. This is the second book in the series Confessions of April Grace . Though I had not read the first one , I didn’t have any trouble following the story and the characters that were used in the book. This is great story about a young girl April Grace going through a lot of changes in her young life. April Grace is an 11-year-old girl entering her first semester of junior high. The story is set in the 80’s. Themes regarding family, community, compassion, self-esteem, forgiveness, and living out one’s faith are subtly woven throughout this fun story. If you have a young daughter, I recommend this book.

I like the short passage with a message and the reflection questions that follow.I enjoyed reading this devotional, it's quick, simple and easy to understand. Each pages it's like written by God to me. This book is also perfect for those who desire to have a more closer relationship with God.

MY REVIEW:

I requested the e-book version of Hermie - A Common Caterpillar By Max Lucado, illustrated by Daniel Howarth.

Max Lucado is a wonderful author, Hermie series are my family’s favorite. It’s about the cute Hermie a caterpillar who was wondering why God didn’t make him pretty patterns and spots. This book will teach young children that being “common” is not bad after all. It contains wonderful message to young children that God made them special and unique that they should not be envious because God is not finish with them yet.

What I really love in this book, is that God’s assurance to Hermie that he loves him no matter what, just the way he is..

I recommend this book to introduce prayer and talking with God to young children. My children read this again and again…We are absolutely delighted with this book!

MY REVIEW

Just in Case you Ever Wonder by Max Lucado, well known, best-selling author and my family’s favorite. Illustrated by Toni Goffe and published by Thomas Nelson. The book was beautifully written. It helps remind us, parents, that we need to make sure that our children know that no matter what, we will always be there for them. It will make them secure It teaches children that before God made the stars, sun, trees and the world, He already made a decision to make him. This book reaffirms how special and unique each child is. It tells children that God created them like no one else, which makes them unique and very special.

If you’re looking for a beautiful present this Christmas, grab this book. Every family must have.

My Review :

Gabby, God’s Little Angel written by Sheila Walsh and illustrated by Marina Fedotova, is a heartwarming book about Gabby the guardian angel in training. This book is appropriate for preschoolers and middle-school. Pick this up for any little girl in your life, this would make a perfect gift. I highly recommend it!

These verses are the theme of this cute and colorful book. It offers a beautiful, heartwarming message to young readers , telling them how much God loves and takes good care of them, by sending guardian angels to guard and protect them.

My Review

I received an e-book version of Thank you God, for blessing me, written by Max Lucado and illustrated by Frank Endersby. This is a sweet little bedtime book or getting-ready-to-bed book for toddlers and pre-schoolers (2-7 years old). A great book to introduce GOD and the concept of prayer and thanksgiving to small children.

My Children love it.. My eldest daughter read the book to my youngest daughter many times already. They can’t get enough of this cute, lovable caterpillar, that they almost memorize the book.

My REVIEW:

A Conversation with God for Women by Marcia Ford is very well written dialogue between ourABBA father and Bestfriends. A book of encouragement and inspiration. Each chapter in this book starts with a question, which is “answered” by God, Jesus, and other women in the Bible, in a conversational or paraphrased format. The book has 55 questions that a woman would want to ask God. Questions such as "Is there a purpose to life?" and "How can we stop worrying so much? Complete answers and Bible references are given. Supporting scriptures are written in the Notes section at the end of the book.

This book is for everyone! You can use this as your daily devotional or companion during your group bible study meeting. Even if you think that none of the 55 questions pertains to your struggles’, I know one of your friends is struggling with at least 1 of the topic addressed. I personally use this book as a reference to help and comfort more women.

I really enjoyed this book and you might as well.

The book will encourage children to make a difference in the lives of others. This will make then understand that we were created by God for a purpose. Our life so precious- fearfully and wonderfully made that in everything we do, whether big or small, good or bad will have an impact not just on our family or friends but also to the WORLD.

The New Testament tells us to follow our Lord’s example. To live our life with the success of others in mind and to see the needs of others more important than our own. “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interest, but also to the interest of others” (Philippians 2:3-4)

My children love the story of “The Boy who changed the World”! My 4th grade daughter said it was pretty good ! I encourage the parents to read the story to younger students. My preschool, since she cant read it yet, i read the story to her and didn't want me to stop. Ill give 5 star rating for this book. Happy Reading!!!

Why we homeschool?

I found out about homeschooling on June 2008, when my dgroup friend told me that she decided to homeschool her child. About that time, i began researching in the internet, joined homeschool groups and homeschool forums. Then, I began asking questions and gathered informations from experienced home school parents & teachers. I found out that Homeschooling is a way of life that I was looking for ... or others would say, "Homeschooling is a lifestyle"-- for people who loved having fun learning and spending time with the family.

The decision was a little bit scary. What if I couldnt do it???As a homeschool mom and teacher, what if I wouldn't be able to do the right thing, I would just messed up my child's life... She was a consistent honor student in her school and varsity player in Taekwondo with Php % tuition scholarship... t'was really a very hard decision... sooo my family prayed about it for a year and on July 2009 we enrolled in TMA homeschool. It turned out to be the best year ever! We can do things that interest us and not told what to do and how to do it. We'd been to a lot of places with lots of learning experiences that we can relate to our subjects and had fun and freedom in all the things that we learned. No pressure at all, so she can choose what project to do,what books to read, what sports to practice and have time to do it. I didn't mean that we don't have UPs and DOWNs in our homeschooling journey, well...like some of the normal homeschool family, there were also quitting moments in our journey, but by God's grace and wisdom we were able to do it! We're done with our first year. My Eldest K is an upcoming 4th grader and my 3yrs. old CurlyTops whom I independently homeschooled hand-in-hand with GOD, learned many things than those preschoolers who were sent to regular school by their parents.

Most of our friends (acquaintances) that we (chad & I) spoke to thought that we were depriving our children with SOCIALIZATION or they would asked, "what about socialization?". They thought we're out of our minds. Hmmm... we just SMILE:) and told them, we have a lot of socialization and it's not really a problem. My kids are not anti-social or agora phobic, In fact, they are very friendly and more sociable than other kids. We did a lot of "laag" (outings/ excursions) & incorporate it in our lessons. We have lots of friends in the gym and in the church where they can also make new friends... as a family, we also socialized with each other and enjoy each other's company.

Home schooling requires a lot of sacrifices. It requires TIME... time for a life time!! For my strength & wisdom, I have to cling to Jesus to lift me above the weight of each day's task because it is impossible to teach without God's guidance. Aside from academics, I have to teach them God's word by talking about Him everyday, at every opportunity from their waking moment until they drop off to sleep.

It is really my prayer that my children will walk in the Lord and will grow up in stature, wisdom and in favor with God & men.

MOM I LOVE BUBBLES !!!

Well, no need to buy... super saver! Just follow this simple recipe.

You will need:

1/3 cup Dish washing Liquid

1 cup tap water

2 tablespoon light corn syrup

1/8 teaspoon of food color (optional)

PROCEDURE:

combine all the ingredients and mix. whooa! Bubbles made :)

As for your bubble wand, try using different objects such as plastic rings from soda, you could also make a lot of little bubbles from plastic straw or from different kitchen utensils.
