Tips for surviving ‘Halo: Reach’ multiplayer
The Halo franchise is perhaps best known for its entertaining — and sometimes daunting — multiplayer mode. And the latest chapter, Halo: Reach, is no different.
So if you’re new to the world of Halo multiplayer, or are seeking to bolster your skills, Bungie has offered Game Hunters some tips on how to survive in Halo: Reach.
– For most weapons, the faster you fire, the lower your accuracy will be. Pay attention to the size of the reticule — it expands as you fire. Longer-distance targets require a slower, more methodical rate of fire for maximum accuracy.
– The Needle Rifle can be fired as a fully automatic weapon if you hold down the trigger.
– Crouching will increase your accuracy with most weapons.
– Rolling or looping in a Banshee will briefly lose any tracking projectiles (Rockets or Plasma Launcher).
– Hold the right trigger down after firing the Grenade Launcher for a secondary fire mode. The round will stay active and not detonate until you release the trigger, at which point it will also emit an EMP blast, disabling nearby vehicles and shields.
– If you get a plasma grenade or needles stuck on you, Armor Lock will shed them and spare your life.
– The faster you move while using Active Camo, the less effective the invisibility is and the faster your energy will deplete.
– Mix up your armor abilities each time you respawn based on the flow and context of the game. Also, coordinate your abilities with your teammates for maximum effectiveness (Drop Shield/Armor Lock for defensive roles, Sprint/Jet Pack for offensive, etc.).
– Using Evade will briefly shake any needles or Plasma Launcher rounds that are homing in on you.
– Learning the nuances of each map and the placement of weapons is crucial to surviving online multiplayer battles. Launch any map in Forge and fly around to get familiar with the layout and the location of key weapons and health packs.
– Having 5.1 surround sound will give you a big advantage in multiplayer as you can hear positional audio and threats around you before you see them. (Pay attention for the trademark “clink” sound of a grenade landing nearby, just in time to run to safety!)
– An overcharged plasma pistol bolt will immediately drop the shields of your opponent, leaving them open to a single melee attack or a headshot for the finishing blow.
– Assassinations are awesome, but remember that you’re still vulnerable while performing one of these sweet flourish moves. Sometimes it’s best to just tap the melee button and do an old-school thwack.
– In Firefight games, having one or two teammates use the Drop Shield can make all the difference. It’s an instant sanctuary and a way to recharge the health of your entire team.
– Jetpacking opponents can be hard to hit, but they are particularly vulnerable to the Needler.
– If an opponent is charging you with the energy sword, you can hit melee at the exact time of impact to deflect the blow.
– In Firefight or competitive MP, communication with your teammates is the most valuable skill you can learn.

I used to play the game and he would hold a controller and watch me when he was just 3 years old. Eventually he learned how to use the controller and he would follow me around in the game shooting enemies that I hadn’t gotten to yet. Then before I knew it he was running ahead of me taking on the enemy. Now when I play with him I am lucky to find any enemies left alive by the time I get there.
I have recently had to move across the country for a job and I had to leave my family behind. We just bought a house and we like where we live, but we need money like everyone else. This is where the Xbox 360 Halo Reach Bundle comes into play. With cell phone technology it is very easy to communicate with people at any time, but I have found that playing online with my son has allowed us to keep in contact better than just speaking on the phone. There isn’t much to talk about on the phone but on Xbox live we keep in contact for hours. I also speak with my wife while my son is playing. She talks with me and her brother who lives far away as well, but luckily he is a Halo fan.
The Halo Reach Xbox 360 comes with everything you need to get started gaming online in the greatest game ever created to date. Not to mention it looks pretty cool sitting in the living room. I just got my small apartment and I don’t have much (I really don’t want much since I plan on getting back home as soon as I am able), but the Halo Reach Xbox 360 sets my man cave apart from others.

I kind of remember a glowing white light and angelic sound coming from my box as I opened it. I couldn’t believe how cool everything was. The game is awesome, we all know that, but the contents of this box were incredible.
If you are a Halo fan then you really need to get the Halo Reach Legendary Edition. If you already purchased Halo Reach. Mow some extra lawns, get a paper delivery job, but whatever you do, get this edition!

Having the ability to create your own maps has always been one of the best bonuses that the Halo series has offered to players. In this edition Bungie has taken advice from the players and incorporated all of the tips and tricks that gamers were using to create their maps and made it a part of the creation process so even a novice can create incredible environments to play in.
