Ottawa, ON – September 21, 2009 – Halogen Software’s fourth annual user conference, held last week, was a brilliant success with customers from around the globe attending sessions covering talent management strategy and delivering practical information on extending the value of their Halogen solutions. Also during this year’s conference, three customers were recognized with Halogen’s Bright Light Award for their unique achievements. Halogen customers EMQ FamiliesFirst, Pengrowth and the Regional Municipality of York each received awards at the conference reception.

The Bright Light Awards are given in three areas: culture, implementation and measurable savings. EMQ FamilesFirst received this year’s award for Brilliant Corporate Culture for its success in using its performance management tools to help bring unity and goal alignment when merging two organizations. Pengrowth was recipient of the Dazzling Implementation Award in recognition of the organization’s rapid Halogen deployment, which included training 20 locations in less than three weeks and a 100 percent completion rate in less than three months of full roll out.
