Exciting stuff! Remixing HVTS tracks is not only fun, but it can get noticed.

Yesterday, Oxford based, independent label, Shifty Disco released Blame (Kick RMX) as part of their Download Singles Club. You can now purchase yourself a download copy of Blame (Kick RMX) from OxfordMusic.net.

This is the first time someone has chosen to release any of our material, so we are all very excited. Hopefully more to come soon!

What's all the fuss about? Why so much excitement? Well, if you were to look in the direction of The Point you would notice that a very important name was down for a gig.
That's right, Hammer VS The Snake are headlining a night down at the Zodiac on Friday 3rd Feb. Support is coming from Zero Point Field, Accidentally Innocent and The Gullivers.

Sorry for the breakdown in any sort of communication over the past few weeks! What with 3/4 of the band taking exams it has been a quiet period for the Hammer boys.

I Can Almost Taste The Monet

If I were an emo loser, I would spend this post moaning and whining about how long it takes to produce a few dozen copies of one CD...
But I'm not, so I won't.
Exciting news! The mastering of "In It For The Monet" has been completed. Here in my hand I hold the original copy (which I will sell for millions on eBay in 5 years time) and it will be merely days before you too can have your very own piece of the HVTS pie.

So... day 1 of recording was an absolute success. Enjoyed by all and excellent progress made. Even better, so that you don't feel left out, we have pictures from the day uploaded in the pictures section. You almost feel as though you're there with us, in Jimmy's front room. Isn't it cosy...

Battle Of The Bands!

After a gruelling term involving writing new songs, three gigs in six days and multiple hand injuries for Taffy and I, all the hard work has paid off. On Wednesday 2nd March we won the IMSOC/OUSU battle of the bands, seeing off competition from Mostly Mouth and We The Starling. The winnings, 3 days studio recording time, will mean you can get your hands on more HVTS songs in the near future. Check here for details.
