New Site Upgrade Coming for Henrietta's Handbags!

Henrietta's Handbags is now in the process of a major upgrade! The re-design in very close to being finished and the site will now be mobile friendly - you will be able to look through our handbag site on your hand-held device and order your favorite bag!

This upgrade has been a long time coming but we feel it was worth the wait. As a bonus when the new site is online, we are having a HUGH sale of many of our favorite handbags. If you wish to be notified when the new site is active, just send us an email from our current site to be notified when the upgrade is complete.

Henrietta's Handbags has now added Pouchee purse organizers and their new "Tabee" Tablet Totes!
I have personally been using a Pouchee purse organizer for years because I am constantly changing handbags and needed the process of switching to flow smoother. I noticed that something important would inevitably be left behind (tape measure, face powder, grocery list, etc.) in my previous bag and the Pouchee took away that drama (don't we all need less drama in our lives?).
We currently have on hand two purse organizers from the Posh Collection (Spring Chicks and Ladybugs), two from the Sateen design (black and snakeskin) and 2 full size totes/tablet carry-alls in Cheetah and "Symphony", which is a beautiful black print.

Carol's Classic Handbags Are Now Available

We just got Carol's Classic Handbags in and we are really excited!

I don't know if you are aware of who Carol is but she has been crafting for many years and has now decided to follow her dream of painting. She has an entire line of purse patterns called Carol's Carry-Alls, which we carry on our purse pattern site. The first pattern she designed is her most popular and is called The Classic.
Carol decided to make up this bag and sell it to those who don't have the time or the inclination to sew their own handbag and very kindly offered to let us carry this handcrafted bag on Henrietta's Handbags.

Each bag is individually handmade in durable upholstery fabric. Features of this handbag include:

Seven organizational pockets, including 2 outside the bag for easy access
Two comfortable shoulder handles
Fully lined in a matching fabric
Easy to open and see everything inside
Convenient size measuring 11" high x 12" wide x 2 and 1/2" deep

We are happy to announce that in August, 2013, we will be adding handcrafted handbags by Carol's Carry-Alls! We currently carry this pattern to make your own Classic Bag in our Purse Patterns store but Carol has very graciously agreed to let us carry her already made Classic Purse in Henrietta's Handbags!

We should be getting this bag next month and they will be in a variety of printed fabrics. We have gotten in some very lovely cross body fabric bags at Henrietta's Handbags this week! One bag design has an applique peacock in shades of purple, blue, and green and the other design is in shades of maroon, green, and pink with a bird applique on the front of the bag.

These bags are very "boho" and are designed by Karma, a company that helps support worthwhile projects, including projects such as teachers in Cambodia and food for school children in the USA.

Each bag also has an inspirational message embroidered inside and they both have secure top zippers.

Do You Love Owls as Much as I Do?

I just have to admit - I am crazy about owls (in addition to pigs, of course!). I especially love them when they are in fabrics and I cannot resist buying ANY fabric that has owls!

I also am constantly searching for bags for Henrietta's Handbags that have owls and have finally found a backpack that meets my standards for owlness (is that even a word?). Not only does it have owls, but it also has some of my favorite colors - pink and green!

Quilted backpack with cute and colorful owls in shades of pink, blue, and green that is great for kids or women who love owls! The fabric background is chocolate brown and there is a decorative bow on the front in green and pink which match the decorative outer side pockets. Above the bow is a large, secure outer zippered pocket and there is also a top zipper to hold everything inside. Black and white gingham checked fabric is inside and there is an additional zippered pocket and an open cell phone pocket. The back straps are a matching shade of green and are adjustable and there are metal feet to protect the bottom of the bag. These back straps have a center zipper making this bag the perfect sling!

I don't know about you but I don't like to part with my cell phone. This little device has become indispensable and I feel strangely out of sorts without it!

Everyone knows that I love crossbody bags and am constantly searching to carry these type of handbags in Henrietta's Handbags. I am happy to say we just added a new bag by Laurel Burch called the Feline Collage Crossbody Bag and the colors are so lovely! The contrasting top of the bag has a silky brocade looking blue fabric and there are lots of cats, including a larger cat on the front pocket. Of course because it's a crossbody, there is a long adjustable handle!
