My Two Dogs...Woof!

This week I made two dog charms.

The first charm was a special order that I made based on photos and a drawing that the customer provided. It was a bit scary because it was my first "real" model and my model, Haylee, is a beautiful dog! Here is the completed design.

This is my second doggie charm. I did it because doxies are so cute, though I have a hard time spelling the breed's name...D A C H S H U N D.

A Kawaii St. Patrick's Day Kitty Charm

New Design and Free Pattern: Hibiscus

Good Morning bloggy friends. Today I wanted to share with you a brick stitch Hibiscus Flower pattern that I came up with while watching TV. It's not the symmetrical pattern that I usually find myself making. I started with scribble blob and slowly it was transformed into a flower. I hope you like it.

The total project takes 182 beads to make 1 flower. I used size 11 Toho seed beads in brown and silver-lined pink to create my Hibiscus. The completed flower measures about 3 cm. by 2 cm. I attached my beaded flowers to ear wires. Here it is...

Week 6: Pisces, The Fishes

This Pisces charm was a little tricky to bead because I lost my rhythm when I got to the spaces between the green and blue fishes. After starting over a few times, I finally managed to complete the zodiac sign, Pisces, The Fishes, for those imaginative and sensitive people born between February 20 - March 20.

2 Teacup Chihuahuas

Two teacup Chihuahuas. One Ugly.

I made a mistake. Yesterday I listed the first chihuahua (top photo) in my shop without following procedure. Before listing, I need to get a review and "the cute approval" from my kids. The first chihuahua was listed without a review and when I did get feedback from my kids, it went like this..."what is that?!", "it's funny-looking!" and gasp..."it's NOT CUTE!". Oh horrors! After that scathing assessment, I deactivated my listing.

This is my third try on a beaded chihuahua. Today, I listed the bottom one in my Etsy shop. Whew...it was cute approved! The original chihuahua is sitting in the reject bin.

Well, actually, I only made one new design so I didn't have a poll last week. However, I do hope you still like the newest beaded addition.

This was a fun one to work on and I enjoyed all the bright colors although I did not follow the color scheme in my pattern. This basket of yarn is the week 5 listing in my shop.

This week's choice was between butterfly and piggy. OINK made it!

I listed this piggy on Luulla, a new online handcrafted shopping site that I'm trying out. Because of the lower listing fees, it'll be reflected in my prices. I'll see how it goes...

In the meantime, one bacon was not enough so I created another piggy.

This fella, I listed on Etsy because I have more traffic there.

Both photos were edited on Picnik Premium and I am very sad and disappointed that Picnik will be discontinued as of April 19, 2012. Sooo sad! What photo editing program do you use?

New Design: A Basket of Yarn

So this week, I have only one new pattern that I hope you like. It's a basket of colorful yarn. I've tried many times to learn to crochet and knit but ended up with very ugly knots and unrecognizable "things". I admire those of you who can manage these tricky strings.
