berpikir komputasional itu cara berpikir yang dipakai untuk menyelesaikan masalah secara logistik dan sistematis, mirip seperti cara kerja komputer dalam memecahkan suatu permasalahan. tapi ini bukan berarti kamu harus bisa berpikir dulu, ya~ berpikir komputasional lebih ke cara berpikir daripada cara memprogram.

Biar lebih jelas, berpikir komputasional biasanya mempunyai 4 komponen utama, yaitu:

1. dekomposisi (penguraian)

➜ Memecahkan masalah besar menjadi bagian-bagian kecil agar mudah diselesaikan.

contoh: kalau kamu mau membuat game, kamu pecah dulu jadi bagian — desain karakter, atur skor, buat level, dst.

2. pengenalan pola (pengenalan pola)

➜ mencari kesamaan atau pola dari berbagai masalah biar kita bisa menggunakan solusi yang mirip.

contoh: kalau kamu sudah bisa membuat game puzzle, kamu bisa menggunakan logika yang sama membuat game teka-teki lain.

3. abstraksi (abstraction)

➜ fokus pada hal-hal penting saja, buang detail yang tidak perlu.

contoh: kalau kamu mau membuat program cuaca, kamu cukup fokus pada suhu dan kelembapan, tidak perlu detail seperti warna awan.

4. algoritma (algoritma)

➜ langkah-langkah sistematis untuk menyelesaikan masalah.

contoh: resep masakan juga termasuk algoritma — ada urutan langkah dari awal sampai selesai.
