Things I love Thursday

2022-06-17T01:33:00.001-07:00

Ice cream treats while driving

Knowing I am a person that has emotions, I am not my emotion

The creaks and cracks and squeaks and dings of a quiet house

Learning someone’s a connoisseur of soap

Test running experiments on myself #alwayslearning

#iykyk #Notpregnant Shout out to my ankles, it feels so good to have them back

Powering down at 20:15

The fact that if you can’t find happiness in the ugliness you’re not going to find it in the beauty either

The way you move the water faucet with your toes while in the tub

Hidden notes, finding them

Taking the time to wash behind your ears

“Get to work boys” thoughts

Super clean teeth

My Mother, My Friend

2019-05-12T01:00:00.000-07:00

yesterday I was staring down at my cherry vanilla greek yogurt enjoying it by getting every last drop, spinning my spoon around the inside to GET IT ALL.

and I thought to myself "I am my Mom."
as we get older I realize I get more and more like you, I love you and wouldn't trade it for anything.

I love you forever,
from cradle to grave.

1. Become aware of thoughts & actions (subconsciously)

2. Listen to your bodies cues (headache, stress)

3. Remove the weeds (bad habits)

4. Plant knowledge

5. Water seeds, reinforce them

Simple Pleasures

2019-02-24T14:02:00.003-08:00

cheese & crackers

sharing my yogurt with kitty

watching the clouds move

watering tomatoes

bread, essentially

spots on a kitties tongue

how great a good nickname is

almost stepping on a dog poo, but not

coming up with family traditions

wearing a short ass summer outfit in the middle of winter while a baby bird down storm is going on out the window

how school bus break lights are star shaped

I'm on the request line..

2017-02-24T08:30:00.000-08:00

The cute little work out dance you do while brushing your teeth

Reconnecting with an old friend

The little lines in the snow made from the geese walking around in the park

Re-gifting an anal plug

How a chest wax can change your life

The yell you make when you die in your video game

A cats purr

Kids that call their parents by their first name

Turning on a little R&B to unwind

When people you're with know random facts about places

Putting a bindi on just to stay home

When you put extra deodorant on before seeing certain people

Stopping at the gas station early before work on a foggy day

When song lyrics match your life

Pulling the cord to get the bus to stop

Smiling with teeth

if you had a twin I would still choose you

14 Best Feels

2017-02-04T20:17:00.000-08:00

Cars that have personalities

Horchata latte's

How construction guys always have thier truck windows down

When a donkey and a horse are best friends

Coloring my bathwater

The sound of rain on the roof in the car

Going to the farm store just to look at the baby chicks

Learning someone's been calling your work and hanging up when you answer just because they miss your voice

A grandma's wink

Eating a pineapple core like corn on the cob

Speaking in all CAPS

When someone tells you a lot of their favorite times are with you

Throwing up gang signs, with mittens on

The strength I have to move furniture when I'm all alone

do you like me? yeah, ofc i like you.

earths best feelings #9

2015-12-21T08:51:00.001-08:00

learning a new handshake from someone you just met and knowing you have an instant forever connection

coming out of the after after party at 5 am holding hands with a beautiful stranger

walking down a completely empty calm fog filled street together

sparking zippers

the face he makes while flossing

reading poetry together and it not being cheesy

the 'i'm getting beard burn while kissing but not caring' kind of smooch

the shimmy you do when you dry your back off with a towel

getting drunk off you

trick or treat

The days may not be so bright and balmy—yet the quiet and melancholy that linger around them is fraught with glory. Over everything connected with autumn there lingers some golden spell—some unseen influence that penetrates the soul with its mysterious power.

“To be able to say: I loved this person, we had a hell of a nice time together, it’s over but in a way it will never be over and I do know that I for sure loved this person, to be able to say that and mean it, that’s rare, señor. That’s rare and valuable.” — Ernest Hemingway, from The Complete Short Stories

"Not everyone can feel things as deeply as you. Most people, their feelings are ... bland, tasteless. They'll never understand what it's like to read a poem and feel almost like they're flying, or to see a bleeding fish and feel grief that shatters their heart. It's not a weakness, Grey. It's what I love about you most.” ― Juliann Garey, Too Bright to Hear Too Loud to See
