Long time no talk. Today I'm sharing some images from my recent trip to beautiful Rome, Italy, a city with which I fell in love. STAPLE PIECES: THE BLACK JACKET

Hey loves! Very excited to be sharing this post with you today, but before I get into it, I wanted to share an idea that I have for an upcoming series of articles... All about STAPLE PIECES! Hence, the title of this post. Staple pieces are an essential part of every woman's wardrobe but something that we quite often, forget to incorporate on our shopping lists, and so, I thought it would be a great chance for me to share some of my personal favourites and go-to pieces within my wardrobe.

So, as today's article is the first of my 'Staple Pieces' series, I thought I would start off by talking about something that every woman needs in her wardrobe - A black jacket! Whether a bomber or blazer, a little black jacket completes every outfit and keeps you nice and snug at the same time. I have been on the hunt for the perfect black jacket for awhile now with little luck, so I am completely thrilled that I now have this new addition to my wardrobe, thanks to the kind folks at Romwe.com.

I like to be completely honest with you guys, and when I unpackaged it, I wasn't entirely sure whether I liked it or not. However, as soon as I put it on - I realised just how practically fabulous it is! My reason for loving it so much though, is it's versatility. It looks fantastic paired with an LBD and heels for a night out, yet just as great with a pair of casual black leggings and Nike Roches - It can be dressed up or down and makes anything it's paired with look amazing. Plus I have been complimented on many occasions recently for how chic it is AND it's a steal price wise! ;)

Hey loves, so this is just a quick update. I have a lot going on at the moment, and as a result, my blog keeps suffering, and this really frustrates me. I am a perfectionist and like to put 100% of myself into whatever I do, but as I have been balancing so many projects recently, I haven't been able to put my all into Hawk Eye View, as I had planned to.

As much as I love my blog (and you guys for reading! <3), it hasn't been my priority recently. Some of you will know that I'm also a singer/songwriter, but chances are you don't know that I am also an internet marketer. I kind of live a double life in that sense ;) haha. I absolutely LOVE what I do online, and my blog has been an incredible stepping stone, but with other projects really flourishing, I haven't been able to give this little space on the internet the love it deserves.

However, that is all about to change.

I am in the process of making some serious changes right now, which will be taking place over the next few weeks, and so, from this summer onwards, we are going to go on one hell of a ride.

I hate feeling like I'm neglecting this blog of mine, because it has given me so much, and so, that's why I am initiating this 'change'. Feel free to come along on the adventure... I have big dreams and big plans that are finally starting to fall into place :)

Hey guys! Had a crazy busy couple of weeks - Things are going so great at the moment! I've been spending a lot of time on my business (I'm an internet marketer) and so I've been pretty focused on that lately :-) But I'm really excited to share today's blog post with you!

We shot this article recently at an abandoned train near where I live - It's such an eery place but I really loved it's vibe and ever since happening upon it when I first moved here, I knew I wanted to shoot there... But it needed to be an outfit with EDGE! And I just knew this was the perfect look :)

You may have also noticed that I'm featuring someone special in these images with me... My partner in crime who happens to be my little sister! It was so much fun shooting with her - You can follow her on Instagram here.

The kind folks at SheIn reached out to me recently and kindly sent my sister and I these really edgy denim jackets! I picked it out because I always love to switch things up and it turns out I really love it. The only thing I would say is that it's slightly smaller than I had imagined, however, it's a cool piece that adds an extra edge and can be dressed up or down and coming into the summer, I can definitely see it becoming a staple ;-) They have so much choice available too and all really reasonably priced so I'd definitely suggest some window shopping on their website here if you're looking for some fun new pieces :)

I also wanted to say a big thank you for all of your wonderful support :) I recently hit 20K followers on Instagram which complete blew my brains out!! Like what?! There's now 20,000 of you following me... Which is seriously cool :-)

Hey beauties! So happy to be sharing these new images with you! Living in Spain, I don't tend to shoot the typical 'winter' outfit as often as I did at home in Ireland, however, I feel like this look is definitely more along those lines. I don't know about you, but faux fur for me just exudes glamour. It instantly dresses up an outfit and I think this look is a really great example of that. What was a super casual daytime look was completely transformed with a pair of heels and this gorgeous faux fur cardigan that I picked up in TK Maxx ages ago. It's such an easy to wear, versatile piece that was, for some unknown reason, forgotten in the back of my wardrobe but I'm so glad that I brought it back to life recently!

Hey loves! Happy Friday! Seeing as the weekend is fast approaching, I thought it would be fun to share with you some more images from my California trip during the summer - Specifically though, my first time seeing the Hollywood sign! I think anyone who has ever dreamt of visiting L.A. definitely has visiting the Hollywood sign on their bucket list and it didn't disappoint. It was such a fun experience, and great to experience it with my amazing American cousin, Caity, who is a Californian through and through.

We viewed the sign from Mulholland Drive's Hollywood Bowl Overlook (find out more here) which was also a great vantage point to look out over L.A. as a whole - The skyline is so beautiful! I would love to visit the Griffith Observatory the next time I'm in L.A. though, as it's also supposed to be a good spot for viewing the famous sign :)

When I arrived back home to Spain after my trip, I had hundreds of images to go through from my trip, but today, I'm sharing some of my favourites from our stop off at the Hollywood sign during our typical touristic bus tour throughout Hollywood and Beverly Hills - I didn't stop snapping photos, haha! I'm thinking of compiling some video diaries over on my YouTube channel from my adventures seeing as I have so much footage so let me know if that's something you'd like to see. :)

L.A. PHOTO DIARY

Hey, beauties! Today I'm looking back on one of my biggest highlights of 2015 - Visiting L.A. for the first time! Exploring California was a dream come true for me and such a special adventure... There is just something so magical about L.A. for me! I can't even describe it! I've wanted to go to L.A. for as long as I can remember and it surpassed all of my expectations - It's definitely somewhere I could see myself living in the future ;)

Anyway, here are some snaps from downtown L.A., from lunching at Mel's Diner on Sunset Boulevard (pretty cool) to taking a typical tourist's bus tour throughout Hollywood and Beverly Hills, it was an unforgettable time for me! I've got two more posts from my trip to L.A. that I will be sharing with you over the next few days, and then I'll be kick-starting the new year with a steady flow of new style diaries for you guys.

HELLO 2016!

First off, happy new year, guys!!! I hope those of you that celebrated had the most magical Christmas with your loved ones. I basically hibernated over the holidays, indulging in Christmas treats, snuggled up to watch lots of movies, and just basically wallowed in the Christmas spirit with my family, enjoying some social media free time. I am always usually found glued to either my phone or laptop so having virtually no internet time was a big change for me, but a very revitalising one at that! I'm feeling more refreshed than ever starting off this new year and can't wait to see what adventures it has in store! Seriously though, can you believe how fast time flies?! It literally feels like it was just yesterday when I sat down to write my 2014 round-up article. I'm really looking forward to this new year, a fresh chapter in our lives for each of us to write. 2015 was an incredible year for me, filled with lots of highs but like everything, also some lows. So to kickstart 2016, I thought I'd look back on a year which was filled with so many milestones for me!

I've always been a wanderlust at heart, never content with remaining in just one place when there is so much more of the world to explore, and this year I had the pleasure of ticking some new destinations off my bucket list. Looking back on the adventures I went on last year, I've actually realised that none of them were planned, which is quite exciting really. I'm a goal-setter, and like to have a plan in relation to my pursuits, but I must say, that all the impromptu trips I went on was a nice change ;)

But of all the trips, for me, the most exhilarating would have to be my road trip in America! I was lucky enough to road trip from Las Vegas, to California, visiting L.A., Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, walking the streets of Hollywood and eating lunch on Sunset Boulevard. I've always felt a pull to the U.S.A, California in particular, and this was my first time exploring the West Coast, so it was very special for me! And I have to say... I left my heart in L.A.!

Blogging

I must admit, I didn't blog half as much as I would have liked to last year, and it's something I'm quite annoyed with myself for neglecting. However, instead of getting uptight about it, I've been working on getting a really tight editorial calendar in place so that I can ensure major growth for this little blog of mine. It's given me so many wonderful opportunities and from doing it almost half-heartedly, so I really feel like it deserves more of my focus so that I can continue to grow and nurture this lil' baby of mine. 2016 has some big things in store - So, I'm pretty pumped!

Music

When it comes to my music (for those of you that don't know, I'm also a singer/songwriter;)), a lot of big things happened this year! I released my first ever single, 'Efron Style' which you can check out here, feel free to buy it if you like and help an independent Irish artist get one step closer to her dream... and all that, hehe. I filmed my FIRST EVER music video for Efron Style, which was pretty darn cool if I do say so myself (watch the video and give it a like here), and said single was chosen out of over 700 international entries as one of the final 14 songs in the Gibraltar International Song Festival, where it won 3rd prize! That was another pretty cool experience as a 17 year old singer/songwriter, I must say, it was exciting to win an accolade for something that I'm so passionate about. However, as happens in life, I also had a couple of minor setbacks, one of which really threw off my timeline for my musical endeavours. Although at the time, it really got me stressed out, I'm a believer that everything happens for a reason and looking back, I can definitely see how certain situations that at the time seemed like the end of the world, are actually shaping my career path for the better. I'm still not where I'd like to be, but I plan for 2016 to be the year of a shift in all aspects of my career. I've got the feeling that it's going to be jam packed full of awesomeness.

Work

I have taken quite a non-traditional path when it comes to my work life, and it's something I haven't shared much with you before... Like ever, actually! But aside from blogging and my music, I'm also very active online and have spent the past year immersing myself in learning the art of internet marketing. It's something that I plan to really expand upon this new year and I'm really excited to see where it takes me!

Life

This was a milestone year for me in my personal life too as I turned 18 and officially entered adulthood! I decided to keep my birthday celebrations low key but was surprised by my mum and sister with a weekend trip away to the beautiful seaside town that is Tarifa, off the southern coast of Spain. I found turning 18 hit me hard at the end of 2015, kind of like an epiphany, and it has really encouraged me to take a step back and look at where my life is going and what I want to achieve in 2016. I have so many goals, and I guess it's made me think a little harder about the way in which I have been prioritising said goals ;)

Hey guys! Sooo excited to be sharing this look with you!! We shot it a few months ago and it's a bit of a different vibe for me... But I love switching things up and really enjoyed playing around with my style. Fashion is more than just clothes - It's an art form; and more importantly, a great way to express yourself. I love the fact that one day I can be feeling super girly and demonstrate that by wearing florals and frills, and the next I can express my inner feline (rawr, lol) by decking myself out in an all black look with car ears and leopard print heels.

On the day in question, I felt like going for something with a slightly edgier vibe, yet still chilled. I thought this gorgeous vintage shirt courtesy of RockettWears would be perfect! I connected with them on Instagram a few months ago and literally fell in love with all of their stunning hand picked vintage pieces - I couldn't wait to get my hands on this shirt! Although I love the edgier feel of this outfit, I definitely think it came out looking like something from a country film; totally loved it though!

HFB VLOGS | A DAY AT CAMDEN MARKET!

Hey babes! I hope you're all having an awesome day. I had planned to be posting as normal from Monday but that clearly didn't happen... I've been feeling really under the weather this past week and needed to take some time to chill out and listen to my body which really needed a rest. However, I think sometimes, living such busy lives in such a busy world, we forget to pause to take a second for ourselves. This week for me was a reminder of that - Sometimes you need to just listen to your body.

Anyway... Today, I wanted to share with you some footage that I took when I visited London during the summer. I dragged my pal, Natasha, along to Camden Market for the day and we had such a blast, laughing virtually non stop. The atmosphere in Camden was wonderfully eccentric and chilled, and I'm so glad we got to spend the day there, mooching around while having the chance to catch up.

I hope you get a sense of what Camden Market is like and have some giggles too! I was laughing non-stop when editing this :) Don't forget to follow me on YouTube for lots more videos and travel vlogs! ;)

Hey loves! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! This is definitely one of my favourite holidays - I love dressing up and seeing everyone go all out for such a spook-tacular evening. Are you dressing up tonight? Anyway, today I wanted to share with you some more photos from my American road trip and our stop off at Huntington Beach. My cousin, Caity, was an absolute gem and helped me out with documenting my adventure so, shoutout to you Caity for putting up with my countless photo requests!! ;)

We shot these under Huntington Beach's famous pier. It was my first time splashing around in the Pacific Ocean and enjoying the Californian lifestyle. Definitely want to return again soon!

HUNTINGTON BEACH

So after exploring Laguna Beach and Balboa Island, we headed to Newport Beach, and from there, to Huntington Beach. Being such a well known tourist attraction and surfer paradise, I couldn't wait to witness the scenery in person.

Huntington Beach was so full of vibrancy, and is definitely somewhere I could see myself spending future summers, chilling by the seafront and watching the talented surfers ride the waves.

Sooooo, what do you think of my blog's new look?? Today I want to take you on the second part of my American adventure. After my wonderful stay in Las Vegas, my cousin, Caity, brought me on the most epic of epic road trips and took me on an adventure through her home county of California. I've always felt drawn to the States, particularly to the Golden State, and so when she suggested a Californian road trip I was already mentally planning it.

We visited a number of significant locations - Including the beaches of Newport and Huntington, Beverly Hills, Hollywood... and the famous Laguna Beach & Balboa Island, which is where I'd like to take you today.

As soon as I got out of the car after we parked up beside Laguna Beach, I was blown away. I looked up to be greeted by the most luscious Palm Trees and walked down towards the beach to be blown away again by the most spectacular view. I seriously could have fallen over in awe! I'm so grateful to have been able to appreciate such a beautiful place and hope you guys enjoy the photos. I really understand why it's such a sought after location - The beauty of the area is simply indescribable.

After Laguna, we stopped off at Balboa Island for a mooch around - Then we were off on the next part of our road trip! See the photos below. I'm giving myself major holiday blues - It just makes me want to go back there so badly!
