Been a while since I've come across an IDKBILI. Dancing amongst the weeds is she? Or is she landing ever so softly after jumping that fence? Love her whimsy. Love the pink with the dash of blue. And those legs ... for days!

Drapes & Blue Couches ...

Two things that have been on my mind lately ... dramatic drapes and blue couches. I'm usually a wooden blinds or shutters type of person but drapes are definitely leaving a different impression on me now. I especially love these floor to ceiling ones.

Now I've always known that I would love to have a blue couch someday, but it has to be the right one. And this one here is pretty perfect. I think it's because I usually go the way of neutrals for my big pieces. The perfect shade of blue would be great amongst so much neutral–as seen here in this pic. What about you? Would you consider something like a blue couch?

Was perusing Krista's awesome tumblr, A Note On Design, when I ran across this great photo. How cute is her bow tie? And are those jodhpur jeans?! I think I see a DIY with some old boyfriend jeans in my alterations person's future. Everything right down to the booties is inspiring me right now. Including her long hair. Just last night I was mentioning how I want to cut my hair shorter. Funny how we can do a full 180º in a matter of one photo, right?

So here we are at Friday and I'm still fighting this head cold thing. Ugh. Anyone else battling this thing? I've definitely gotten better, but the bugger keeps lingering. Although, I don't have much to complain about since our weather this past week has been hovering about 70º+. And since Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow yesterday declaring six more weeks of this, well we really can't complain.

So you watching the Super Bowl Sunday? We definitely will be. But to be honest I'm looking forward to the commercials and Madonna's performance the most. Apparently she's going to sing three old songs and one new one–so should be good. She looked amazing at her press conference yesterday, anyone see that?! Don't forget to record Anna Wintour's interview on '60 Minutes' Sunday. It airs during the super bowl.

And lastly, I was overwhelmed by all of the wonderful comments over at the "mini-view" Q&A I did over on Inspiration Cooperative. Thank you, they made my week! Hope everyone has a great weekend! Group hug:)

First of all, I point this out in good fun because I am actually a fan of JT. We all know that JT would be the first one to poke fun at himself and the glaring difference in years (and stylists). Go ahead, take this in for a minute. It really is a gem. Remember the denim duo? That's back when JT had his cup o' noodles hair. But look at him now would you? Handsome as ever! (second to the hubs of course;). Seriously he and Jessica make such a handsome couple, don't they? I'm not gonna dis on Brit Brit because there were many crying, teenaged girls that wanted to be her that day in denim. Plus, I'm happy girl seems to be back on track.

Happy Groundhog Day! Apparently Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow today which means six more weeks of winter. Thoughts?

So the bad news is I was sick all weekend. Boo. But the good news is I actually got to watch the entire red carpet for the SAG Awards yesterday while nursing myself back to health. And Ms. Rose Byrne here wins the unofficial Happenstance "Best Outfit Award." Her whole kit was perfect. How cute is her bob and those bangs? The Elie Saab jumpsuit was such a winner and while being interviewed, you could tell Rose was comfortable in it. Refreshing. Bravo to Rose, you looked beautiful! (As if she reads my blog.)

Before I go ... I had the honor of doing a fun Q & A for a new series called "mini-view" with Theresa over at Inspiration Cooperative. It's a play on the Proust Questionnaire you find in Vanity Fair. It's a really fun and great idea. Read it here.

Good Friday to you! Here's a great way to start a Friday ... have you heard the rumor that Domino magazine is making a comeback?! How great would that be? And then I could only hope that Cookie would be on its way back too. Two pubs that I loved so, so much. Let's keep our fingers crossed for Domino.

The guy in this pic kind of looks like Brad Goreski, doesn't he? Speaking of ... anyone seen It's a Brad, Brad World at all? I've only caught one episode so far, but it looked promising.

I mean seriously, where do I begin? This photo by Monica Shulman is people watching perfection. Everyone almost seems purposely placed for this capture. I especially love all of the color happening and the boundless energy moving in either direction. Every single person in this photo had a destination the day they crossed this street. I find it fascinating to think of where they might all have been going or coming from. Were they happy? Hungry? Hurried? Just taking a stroll? In love? Heartbroken? I believe every single person has a story to tell. Don't you? Bravo to Monica for capturing "beautiful and interesting" yet again.

Here's some ray of sunshine for you this Monday morning by way of the Heidi Merrick Spring '12 collection. I am loving every, single piece! The easy, breezy feel of them and those neapolitan-ish colors are dreamy. I'm especially enamored by the nude colored dress (below) with the strip of neon yellow paired with blue pumps–subtle, but fun and unexpected. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

You're looking at today's breakfast, lunch and dinner. In that order. It's what happens when you put a 3 year-old in charge of his own birthday menu. I mean, who can argue with him? It's perfection:) Also as part of the birthday request dad and big sister took the day off today so we could all visit Dinosaur Hall at the Natural History Museum of LA together. It's the birthday boy's absolute favorite place–I highly recommend if you live in the area and/or have any dino fans in your household. A happy birthday to our little guy! Thanks for making us laugh and being such a blessing in our lives buddy!

So did you watch? I hate to say it, but I felt a bit underwhelmed by the usual heavy hitters last night. Maybe it was just me? Don't get me wrong, there were some great moments as showcased here by Sofia and Kate–looking svelte and sexy. And an honorable mention goes to Nic since she looked like she was ready to have some fun last night instead striking the stoic pose.

Thankfully these two made up for the red-ish, burgundy tuxedo that kept reappearing on stage with Ricky Gervais. Loved Leo's traditional tux with bow tie and Owen's relaxed mod look. And that slicked back hair really does keep working for Mr. DiCaprio, doesn't it?

These lovelies won my couples vote for the evening. They're not trying too hard and compliment each other so well. I was super into Amy's monochromatic look.

I'm so ready. Did you know that over 1,000 mini bottles and 500 magnums of Moet will be consumed on Sunday night? That ends up being more than 9,000 glasses of champagne. Cra, right? I'm happy to report that I've seen quite a few of the best picture nominations this year–the most ever actually. So my anticipation during the opening of envelopes will be authentically intense this time around. Any favorites? Anxious to see the gussied up ballroom, anxious to hear the comedy of Mr. Gervais, and anxious to see what Michelle Williams and Kristen Wiig will be wearing. Hope everyone has a great weekend! And here we are at the first Friday of 2012. So how was this first week of the new year for you? Let's see, Eric went back to work this week, I took down all of the Christmas decorations, went to the Agenda trade show where I ran into many friends, oh and I wrote my 900th post this week ... 900th! I can't even begin to get my head around that. In fact, I'm not even gonna try. It's so baffling to me, but I know I've had fun every step of the way. So thank you for reading this here blog:)
