So what’s new since Last time ! Well it’s only been just over a week but our ducks are Just about FULL grown ! Both Mama’s are now proudly sitting on their new nests with approx 17 eggs each ! I know, Holy Cow ! So I would say in the next 18 days or so, new babies will once again emerge ! I am going to try and catch it on film this time, I thought that would be something to see !

I also finally bought my new web cam, one that I actually can use and like.. So within the next week or so I am going to start putting some Live video of my journey on my weight loss progress !!

I can tell you I just finished CE about 2 weeks ago with EXTREME results ! In the last 7 weeks of the program I lost another 17 LBS ! My Dr was floored and I have never felt better ! I have now started P90X and it’s just the most ultimate program ! I can’t even imagine where this is going to take me !!!

As you can see, being born on Mother’s Day they are getting HUGE !!!!

Baby Ducks at approx 3 weeks of age !

And now we have approx 24-26 eggs in 2 separate nests that are being sat on ! Holy Cow ! We obviously have a farm but we cannot keep them all.  We have several farm and feed stores around us so we will be selling some of the new babies ! This could be a new business ! LOL

Our Black duck is just a beauty. She’s even laying black colored eggs ! She has teal on her head and she’s purple and blue on her back when the sun hit’s just right.  I was trying to get a good photo of her so everyone could see her colors. We can’t wait to see what her babies are going to look like !

I would totally suggest if you have kids and the room that you purchase an incubator for use at home or even for a great school project ! I have just been amazed watching these little guys grow !

You can get an awesome deal on an incubator ( I just purchased one in case mama leaves her nest which sometimes they tend to do ) I actually searched for awhile and ended up getting on eBay.  Here are a few that you can get ! A great summer time project for the kids !

He just wasn’t strong enough but I am happy to report after much crying, I am still a great lucky woman to have these cute little 6 ducks running around !!!!

and there is even bigger news !  The other duck has started laying and now has 11 EGGS in her nest ! Holy Cow ! More will be coming in the next month ! This time it’s our Beautiful Black duck with the wonderful colors that will be mom !!

Well if you live on a ” farm ” you most likely have what they call a septic tank ! Yes long story ! I didn’t know I couldn’t take showers until the hot water ” ran out ” in these parts ! Well I learned fairly fast and although we have been here now almost 5+ years, we got to do one of those fun things on Monday morning.. Well I did.. Our septic was to be pumped.. Oh fun ! So after watching this VERY interesting truck do god only knows what in my yard and writing a check for 500+ we were in business.. fine for years to come !

Tuesday brought a fund raiser to save my son’s school that just opened this last year. They are short 75,000 and the mom’s have been working to save the school, but it’s a tough road ahead. Tuesday’s fundraiser included Bowling.. Great… Well except for I was early and then for the next 2 1/2 hours I was in a bowling alley with 900 screaming kids, lights and well I needed the Advil bottle when I got home ! LOL

Come Wednesday, all is good, for the most part ! Except it’s my son’s REAL bowling TEAM day so back to the bowling alley we go for his last day of bowling for the season which included a pizza party and 3 more hours of screaming and well, you know 11 year olds !

Keep in mind during this time, I’m running my own business, keeping the house up, doing my daily beach body workout’s at 5:00 am and also keeping care of 7 baby ducks and the mama, then there is the dogs, chickens.. Oh can I click my heels and take me away !!!

So Thursday Rolls around.. Rest day right ?? Oh no ! Not happening .. my son’s school forgets to inform the parents that Thursday night is the spring program… so I get the frantic call that he needs a button down shirt for the performance.. Well……… off I go to the mall to find a shirt… am I tired.. Nah not yet….then my daughter calls …  she’s 22 .. and says I am on my way over.. Oh that’s great, can’t wait to see you I say… she stays for a few hours, but I’m good. I have my son’s new shirt, ducks are fed and watered.. hubby calls, he’s not going to be home at the reg time but late… oh boy.. so my daughter leaves to go to work and then I start getting ready for Thursday night’s performance, running over to check on the baby ducks one last time in my high heel sandals ( thinking OK so now I know why my friends call me barn yard barbie ) ..get back to the house, my son is trying to ” spike ” his hair.. for god sakes can we just go already !!!! I lay down on the bed and I am OUT ! I fall asleep only to be awakened by my son saying are we going to leave now ! Yikes.. in the car and off we go !

His performance on the sax was awesome and it was so worth it… but this morning came and I thought OMG.. not another weekday !!! Today was a REST day from working out .. thankfully .. because I honestly don’t know if I could have made it another day !

So I am happy to report, my son is home in bed reading his book, I’m ready to head to bed early for the frog jumping fair tomorrow ( I told  you, I swear I clicked my heels and I ended up somewhere Dorthy has not been ) LOL..

I am so wiped out. I have walked back and forth across our property so many times that I am sure that would be a workout in it’s own this week. But I have 6 babies over there and one in my bathroom I have to keep watch on !

I am happy that my body is able to keep it up through all this ! I feel great.. I’m dropping weight.. no wonder huh

So that’s this week’s updates.. stay tuned for what next week will bring ! Oh and I’ve also been dealing with my mom moving out of the house I was born in 42 years ago and my grandmother who just turned 89 getting engaged.. what is going on ! LOL….

The 6 babies are doing awesome. Mom tried to take them out for a swim yesterday, we have No IDEA how the babies jumped over the board we had placed up, so last night we had to make it a bit higher as the bigger ducks will try and drown the babies, so they have to wait a few more weeks for that !

It is supposed to reach over 100 degrees this weekend, so we will be watching out for the heat too ! Right now I’ve been filling up their water and food ( just for the babies ) 7 x a day ! So they are eating just fine !

I named the other duck that was having some problems standing.. He’s doing so much better and I named him Adam.. What can I say I was watching American Idol and holding the little guy so he could get some rest. He snuggled up under my neck and went fast asleep.  We have used a few band aid’s to help his splay leg condition and he’s actually standing up today ! He’s eating Great and drinking just as much as his brothers and sisters. I really hope he can join them soon. Won’t they be surprised !!!

So that’s the latest from the farm !

Started the HUGE garden and well, the pincher bugs ATE everything ! TWICE ! So a bit frustrated with that, but they didn’t touch the tomatoes or the peppers, green beans are going great, but the cucumbers, lettuce, zucchini, radishes, and onions, those  most be their favorite, so back to the drawing board again tomorrow with those.

We have just this CRAZY amount of Pincher bugs.  It’s like they are invading us and it’s driving me crazy ! I don’t like to resort to bug spray’s etc, so I found a great way to catch at least some of them. I took several cans such as vegetable cans, soup cans, cleaned them out then poured about 2 inches of vegetable oil in the bottom. Put them out at night around the house and in the morning the amount of pincher bugs will amaze you ! So that’s a little tip !

Next week I’ll be posting more of my progress pics ! I am on week 2 of Chalene Extreme. I am LOVING this workout but ready to go onto p90x. Well that’s all for this morning. It’s time to walk over and check on mama and her babies ! Wow, I’m getting a workout with just that ! Maybe that’s why I’ve lost 3 lbs this week already !

So all is well. The one duck is in our bathroom in her own little box with food and water and a heat lamp. She’s having problems with balance and standing so hopefully over the next few days she’ll get stronger and be able to go back and join her brother and sisters !

I have one that was either born later than his brother and sisters and not able to quite get on his legs upright yet.. So after watching him today we decided to take him in and put him in our bedroom ( I know, that is why they call me Barnyard Barbie, which I am so ok with ) So with some water and some feed, he’s doing good and hopefully back with his brother and sisters over the next few days
