My Peaceful hiker

2014-04-03T01:11:00.001-07:00

Nomadic tribes traveling along forgotten
Mountain passes.
A village built upon wooden wagon wheels.
A homeless nation searching for a homeland
That no longer exists.
People cast asunder at the four winds mercy,
Without roots safety line.
Cultural diversity an unexceptionable social,
Barrier to non-conform to the societies norm.
Outcasts gypsies living on freedoms well worn
Road.
Dreaming of liberty's liberation from being
Nothing more then dusts children, drifting
As castaways upon hidden highways lost
By ways.
Beneath moonlights luminous glow, a canvas
City comes alive.
In abandonment’s empty fields a flickering firer
Burns at twilight’s midnight hour
Beyond no man's lands a nomadic people celebrate
A moments peace.
From those whom would destroy their way of
Life and religious beliefs.
Striking rosin to bow, the fiddler plays an ancient
Tune.
While voices sing of an easier time, a simpler
Peaceful way once lived.
Mankind's kindred spirits wishing for a sanctuary,
Clinging to idealism, that one day they will find
A home at last.
Just a piece of earth all their own, to rest at peace,
Somewhere it does exist.
In such a world created by an everlasting being,
An Eden calls to them.
Until then the gypsy dance continues, and there
Voices shall be raised on high.
But at sunrise nothing is left but the cuts in the road,
From creaking wagon wheels.
And glitters dust left behind along with a lingering
Dreaming,
The echoing songs from a nomadic people, who belong
No where but the open plains.
God's lost lambs searching ever seeking freedoms road.

Peace love and a chilly yet warm spring breeze !!

Here comes a little beard..

2014-03-23T04:18:00.001-07:00

AT here comes the beard !!!! Nature take care of my man!!!!

Peace love and a cool spring breeze !!!

Speechless....

2014-03-19T03:29:00.001-07:00

You mean the streets and the trees.... The birds and the bees you mean the world to me...

The beard is getting ready to head out on his journey. I am so excited for him. I just can't believe that it is really happening. The support that this man has given me with all of my crazy shenanigans, now it's time for me to return the favor. I am a bit selfish when I say I don't want for him to go. Great things will come of this. I see a book with his name on it in the very near future. He's changed so much and I am happy to say at 40 I believe that he has found himself.

To the beard we will miss you. And we love you tremendously.

Of course we will spen lots of time meeting him on the trail. And writing letters which I am super excited about !!!!

Peace love and a cool spring breeze,

You keep a smile on my face and an even bigger one in my heart. I Love you spoonkeeyloopiestopnot butt !!

In the entire world, there is not one human being who is free from pain. Even in favorable conditions, a person encounters struggle. The external form of struggle appears to be cruel. Some describe it as a horrible demon, but its nature is not malicious. Struggle keeps us from being sluggish. It keeps us aware and in the end bestows true knowledge. Struggle is actually an angel and the well-wisher of everyone.

It is proper to welcome struggle. Its arrival is always auspicious. Struggle changes a sub-human into an ideal person. It transforms an ordinary human into a spiritually awake person respected by the world. Struggle is a subtle sculptor who shapes the life of every great spiritual master into a unique and unparalleled work of art.

Difficulties are bound to come. Just sitting still, difficulties appear all around you. Difficulties get in the way when you act. If there were no difficulties, you would never realize your inner strength. Strength is always within us, but it only comes out when difficulty appears. When difficulties arise, do not stop. Instead, continue on your way by having faith in God.

Seekers who believe they must practice yoga only in the meditation room are under a great illusion. They must practice yoga in society as well. Practicing yoga in the meditation room is easy because there are no external disturbances. But one encounters many disturbances while practicing yoga in society, which makes it very difficult. The true yogi is one who can successfully protect his mental steadiness while in society.

I want to forever feel the prana flow through me as it grounds me. I want my love for life and all things to radiate out of me like sun beams hitting my shoulders at the beach. I am a grin....

2013-08-11T23:18:00.001-07:00

I am a grin.

I am an escape valve for an abundance of mirth, a merry explosion from within, a mood of mind and manner that can change a night to dawn.

I wrinkle the chin, crinkle the eyes, and crease the face on its way toward more total delight.

I am the adolescence of laughter. An outward expression of inward hilarity. I look good, feel good, and am good.

I am the gift of a friend, an occasion, or a mood.

I am fed bus sense of humor, kept alive by attitude, continued by conclusions. I do not win out over all men. Some are married to a #frown, and past masters of the art of growl.

I am a grin. I am for playgrounds filled with children, for kittens five days old, for merry music in the spring, for all those times when joy is a tickle in your ❤ and a melody in your mind. I am most often an accident. I cannot be planned. Perhaps this is what makes me so much fun.

From a little book that we read each night to our son....

Life is always changing. When it's hard just know that joy is around the corner. I would always use the phrase.. "someday"! Someday I will.... All of my somedays have come.. It help to never give up ! These are some of my most fave quotes on being persistent...,

"Let me tell you the secret that has led me to my goal. My strength lies solely in my tenacity."

-Louis Pasteur

"If you are going through hell, keep going."

-Winston Churchill

"When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on."

-Thomas Jefferson

"I think and think for months and years. Ninety-nine times, the conclusion is false. The hundredth time I am right."

-Albert Einstein

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated failures. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."

- Calvin Coolidge, 30th President of the United States

"When nothing seems to help, I go and look at a stonecutter hammering away at his rock perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it. Yet at the hundred and first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not that blow that did it - but all that had gone before."

- Jacob Riis, Photographer and Journalist

"Many of life's failures are people who do not realize how close they were to success when they gave up."

- Thomas Edison, Inventor

"Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off the goal."

- Henry Ford

We have a lot going on !!! We have moved into our dream home. Jonah got his cast off and has celebrated his 2nd birthday. Jasmine has had her surgery and is on the road to recovery. We've got chickens lol I am still on the road to enlightenment. Ry surprised me with a new wedding set !! Life is good and getting so much better !!!

We woke up this morning in dream land. It's so unreal the way that we feel in our new place. Ry looked and me and said that he has so much Koko love, it feels like we are at the very beginning of our romance... Like if you make eye contact it's time to disappear into our bedroom. For hours lol !!! I have so much love for my man !! Umph our 1 year anniversary is soon to be here and it just keeps getting better and better. This move for us was just what we have needed... Out with the old and on to better places and friendlier faces.

We have met 9 of our neighbors and we have had friends over so many nights. It's very nice to be close to friends and family.

Be blissed out

Lotus Pond Yogi Festival 2013

2013-02-25T04:04:00.001-08:00

You know how a lot of motivational speakers urge people to live their passion? It may sound hokey but I'm doing just that. I started practicing yoga almost 10 years ago and it was love at first Downward Dog.

Yoga is a huge part of my life, ever since I stumbled upon the lotus room. I do a little bit every day.

In theory, practice and theory are the same. In practice they are not.
-Yogi Berra

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built.
-Rumi

When the breath wanders the mind also is unsteady. But when the breath is calmed the mind too will be still, and the yogi achieves long life. Therefore, one should learn to control the breath.
-Hatha Yoga Pradipika

You cannot always control what goes on outside. But you can always control what goes on inside.
-Mr. Yoga

Before you've practiced, the theory is useless. After you've practiced, the theory is obvious.
-David Williams

The most important pieces of equipment you need for doing yoga are your body and your mind.
-Rodney Yee

REAL Peace is always unshakable... 'Bliss is unchanged by gain or loss'
-Yogi Bhajan

Yoga has a sly, clever way of short circuiting the mental patterns that cause anxiety.
-Baxter Bell

Yoga teaches us to cure what need not be endured and endure what cannot be cured.
-B.K.S. Iyengar

Change is not something that we should fear. Rather, it is something that we should welcome. For without change, nothing in this world would ever grow or blossom, and no one in this world would ever move forward to become the person they're meant to be.
-anon

Here's to more compassion for yourself and others!

Peace -

I have always believed that the right words have a way of finding you when you need to hear them. For me, quotes are little bite-sized messengers of courage, perseverance, and hope for the creative artist in this often overly materialistic world.

Everything happens for a reason. This past 48 hours has been very very emotional for my family. Things are really put into prospective when something goes wrong. Our little moonbeam broke his leg Friday at around 2 pm. How is still a mystery to us. Fell off the couch, tripped whatever the case was it was a freak accident. Never before would I have believed in freak accidents until NOW. We have been here before with Jasmine. A full body cast the whole pain and feeling hopeless mess. This time it's different. With Jasmine we expect that. I mean she had a MAJOR surgery. She never walked or talked or complained about ANYTHING.

With Jonah I am so use to him running around and being a boy. I feel hopeless. My hubby is so freaking wonderful, this hospital stay amplified his love for me and our family. RTB I thank god for you !!' You were able to keep me so strong. He brought my yoga mat to me so that I could go into my own little zone while by our sons bed.

I really appreciate the people who sent text messages and came to the hospital. I have always been that person who goes the extra mile for my friends. So, it really meant a lot to know that people care. Even people that I thought would never give a rats butt, sent sincere messages. I have a new respect for that person. "Like me she is learning to live"!!! Thank You Sherry B.

Peace love and a speedy recovery to my lil man.....

Happy hippie !

Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.
~Elizabeth Stone

A parent's love is whole no matter how many times divided.
~Robert Brault
Your children need your presence more than your presents.
~Jesse Jackson

It's not only children who grow. Parents do too. As much as we watch to see what our children do with their lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours. I can't tell my children to reach for the sun. All I can do is reach for it, myself.
