There are so many ways to recolor elements and I’m sure you have your
favorite way to do it – you know the one that works for you 99% of the
time, right?

But some colors are a little tricky to recolor without looking muddy
or washed out. Yellow is definitely one of those colors, and the color I

Hello!
It's been a while since I've sent a newsletter! 2015 has had a lot of changes already for our family. For the first time in 10 years I have taken a job outside of my home. It's nearly full time and has great flexibility to be home for my kids when I need to be. I am really enjoying it - especially the part where I have to wear more professional clothes, lol. I've gotten in quite a rut with jeans, t-shirts & cozy fleeces, lol. It's a nice change of pace.

20 Questions | Freebie Time!

Before my kids go to sleep at night, hubby and I love to snuggle up with them and ask them questions. We always ask them about their day at dinner so bedtime questions are usually more about what they like or what they want to do.

I thought it would be fun to document some of those questions and answers so I put together a set of journal cards. You can use them on a pocket style page, as an element on a digiscrap page or you can even print them out and have them ready as your kids tonight!

There are 20 question cards and 16 additional coordinating cards (not all shown).

Do you need a personal assistant?

You love to be creative and you have so many ideas! But sometimes the "busy work" or business part of designing takes up so much of your time. If only you had a personal assistant to help you get it all done!

Or you could use this handy action to quickly put together a collage for your blog of all of your CT's beautiful pages. Oh and as a bonus, it will crop the large collage into smaller collage images that can be used as detailed images in your shop or anyplace else you want to show them off.

Combine up to 20 square images (use any square size, png, jpg, layered psd or layered tiff) into one long collage. Save as 600 pixel or 700 pixel wide collages (length depends on number of images selected).

Add white spaces between images (really any color you would like) or combine them without spaces.

Automatically crop into 600x600 pixel or 700x700 pixel collages of 4 images each.

Saves automatically for PC's. Prompts for save with file names for Macs.

New| Alpha Cutter {plus} Action–you won’t believe how fast alpha creation is now!

There is so much going on this week! Are you ready?
First, there is a retirement sale going on at Scrap Orchard right now.
I am retiring a handful of products. They will be on sale for 50% off and after June 30th - they will be gone for good!

I've also finished up a new action for the shop. I'm SO excited about this action!! This is so much more than just your typical alpha cutter. This set of actions is designed to help make alpha creation quick and easy!

To start, there are only two templates - one for uppercase letters and numbers and one for lowercase letters and symbols. The grid boxes are BIG - 4 inches (if you think size matters). The first action will assist you in changing both the font and the font size. Then it will center each letter in the grid boxes for you (just make sure they aren't too big!). Seriously, no more wasting time adding extra spaces or playing with the tracking - woohoo!!
As if that wasn't enough, there are also two action included to help you customize your alpha. One will let you pick any paper in your stash - then it will make it a pattern, scale it (you decide) and clip it to the alpha template. The other will let you pick any paper in your stash - then it will duplicate and move them around until there are enough to cover the entire template. Once the paper is clipped, feel free to customize even more with elements , styles, etc.
Lastly is the Cutter action. PC users - great news! Push play then go get a drink or throw in some wash, but don’t take too long. Your alpha will be cut and saved as individual png characters and as an all-in-one png file in just a few short minutes. MAC users – I’m sorry, you’ll need to be a little more involved here. The action will trim and crop each letter and then prompt you were to save it. It will be much quicker than doing it all by hand, but you won’t be able to walk away while it does its thing.

I've got to tell you - it's fast. Really fast. Many of my PC testers reported back that they could make an entire alpha in 10 minutes. Mac users - this may be the one time you wish you had a PC, lol. It's still quick for you, but the saving part will take you a little bit longer. Still MUCH faster than doing it all by hand or sorting through 7 different templates!

Now you just need to figure out what you will do with all the extra time you have on your hands!

It seems I've just about fallen off the face of the earth for a couple of weeks, lol. But I'm back working again and I feel like my batteries have been recharged - it's such a good feeling.

I've been working hard to put together some new goodies for you!
First up is an Anchors Away mini and paper pack. These were part of the SO Mega last July and are now being released to my shop.

I also made coordinating packs of 3x4 journal cards and 4x4 InstaLife Cards.

I've been getting my girls set up to do some pocket scrapping on our upcoming vacation and I was inspired to make a couple more sets of journal cards (all include a full bleed version). They are perfect if you are doing Project Life/Pocket Scrapping type pages, but they are also fun to add to digital pages too!
You can never have enough spots to write, so here is a set of 3x4 journal cards.

and a set of 4x4 InstaLife Cards...

Then I thought it would be fun to make some 3x4 Journal cards with an "A is for.." theme to it. So I made some letter cards with a spot for you to write in anything you would like. It would be so cute to have your child's name or favorite toy written in! They come in 6 colors per letter so you can match it to your page!

And my last new product for this week is a set of CU plaid overlays - Happy Patterns 13. Plaids look great in kits but can be a little time consuming to make. Grab these overlays and simply clip your new colors to each layer and add your favorite textures! Perfect papers in a jiffy!
