(L to R) 1. Girls Night at SoCo 2. Exploring the Beltline 3. The best toys on the playground (why didn't they have such awesome toys when I was little?!?) 4. Pool time.

Crafty-Mess

2011-03-21T14:00:00.000-04:00

Only about one and a half weeks left in march and I still haven't touch my entry way ):
I got obsessed with my bedroom instead, and now I'm moving to my Desk/Craft area, so it looks like my entryway will have to wait till april. I think I "caught" Derek's ADHD (:

Anyway I've been looking up some ways to organize my craft stuff I've acumulated. Right now its hidden away in drawers and I end up forgetting what I have, and buy more ): I don't have much space, so I think I'm gonna need to go up, maybe shelves.... I don't know I need another Ikea trip (Derek is shaking his head no) well maybe I can us a few of these repurposing ideas I love until then:

Paint Cans for storing papers and pens

Little Buttercup’s Studio repurposed an old tool drawer for her sewing supplies

Old bottle crate as paint storage

These soup cans were decorated with scrap paper and screwed to the wall

Dream Craft Room: used vintage baskets for fabric storage

Mason Jars lids screwed under a shelf

More Ideas and pictures coming soon.

1914 WWII Propaganda Poster

Me and Derek have decided to start eating better, healthier (granted we've said this a few times before), but hopefully this time we'll stick to it. We don't eat horrible now or anything there's just things we could do better ( like not eat Zestos at 2am even if it delicious). We'll be trying to do this on a valet and retail associates salary so were definitely on a budget! Nonetheless we've made a list of things were gonna try and do, I'll keep you up to date with how it goes (if I don't say anything, its because I gave up and am eating an entire box of thin mints)

Happy Weekend!

Saw this poster on Homemade Grits blog and love it! If you wanna learn how to eat healthy definitely check out her blog (:

DIY Wreath Wednesday

2011-03-16T13:54:00.001-04:00

Today I woke up to a sick puppy and husband, so there will be no wreath making for me (just a lot of cleaning, yuk!) However, in honor of St. Patty's day tomorrow here are two wreaths that YOU can make at home, just click the link under the pictures for a little tutorial.

Or you can be authentic and make a potato wreath (:

I hope everybody's having a better day than me!

Happy Wednesday!!

Today my husband turns 26, well actually its tomorrow, but I have an early morning (which means Im useless the rest of the day) so we had his birthday dinner tonight.
I present to you Derek's birthday dinner...

Day-Bed Dreaming

2011-03-13T19:45:00.002-04:00

We had three overnight guests this weekend in our small, small apartment. This was an adventure, but not as crowded as it might seem. Nonetheless this got me day dreaming of the one day that I'll have a guest room of my very own... Most of these are pretty small rooms, but I've always liked cozy (:
Also I want most of these as my bedroom.

I love the pattern mixing and all the color

This is the complete opposite, yet I love it just as much.
I really want to do this to a wall in my apartment.

I think I have a thing for shelves

Color again!

Awe Wallpaper

I like the idea that a daybed can double as reading nook
