Screaming in Flight...Mike's in Cycleworld Magazine!

Ok, I said I was taking a blogging break for a while, but I had to put this up! Here I am quietly sitting on the plane reading my latest issue of Cycle World. I was reading this awesome article about retired famous racers coming back and riding the California coast from Malibu to Half Moon Bay on MV Agustas. The article was fantastic with photos and all. As I sit quietly in the exit row of the plane reading and turning the pages, I turn to the last page and continue reading. Then as I look down at the last picture of the entire group I notice it! I let out a scream on the flight and scare all around me. BTW, I realized that wasn't the thing to do on a flight. To my defence I was not prepared to what I was going to see. There he was...in the picture on the right outside...my friend Mike Rawlings. I was in shock for 2 reasons. 1 because he was in the magazine and 2 because he squirmed his way in on the once in a lifetime motorcycle ride with some of the great racing legends. I give it to you Mike, you know how to work it and have fun!

Ok, I figure I should be back in full swing by the end of the year. Until next time...RIDE HARD!

Taken A Break!

HardLeatherz Newz is taking a small hiatus until I move and get my other blog, GalleriaLisa , squared and moving along. Then I will pick HardLeatherz Newz up with new content, favorite roads, stories, and great info. I have realized that starting 2 separate blogs at the sametime with little clue of what I am doing and trying to write almost daily was quite difficult. I want this to be really helpful and fun to read, so I am putting it on hold temporarily till I get everything in order. Then HardLeatherz Newz will be back, better than ever. So sorry it has been awhile. things have been crazy around here. I have been busy with sales since I started accepting credit cards. I'm really excited about that. I should have got this going a while ago. I have also been working on a new website for motorcycle accessories and getting the next newzletter going for next month. HardLeatherz.com is looking fantastic and it is almost where I want it.
Ok everyone, I have a question for you...What is your favorite ride? That means favorite roads, vistas, stopping points, and restaurants along the way. Let me know! I'm starting to compile a list, so that I can add a page for riding on the website. I figure all you riders have your favorites!

Yeah! So it is Done...

I've been working hard this week to finalize the credit card transactions on HardLeatherz.com. I received the final approval from the merchant and it will be active in your HardLeatherz shopping cart checkout today! I received my first credit card phone order today. It's been up for less that 24 hours and we are already getting credit card orders, and being able to have the ease to process credit card transactions! At this time, I am accepting MasterCard, VISA, Diners Club, and Discover. I'm holding out on American Express and e-checks for awhile, and will see if it makes a difference or not to accept. It is such a breeze to just go online and be able to process transactions. I want the customer the get great value every time they come to the website and browse. The ease and security of accepting credit cards is just the beginning!

I really love Hardleatherz. It a a passion of mine to have an awesome motorcycle leather, clothing and accessory website that sells great products that people want for fantastic prices. We are adding all sorts of new things to the HardLeatherz website. Oh BTW, I forgot to mention, I have got brand new Seven 7 for All Man Kind cotton women's T-Shirts at remarkable prices. I am always looking for great deals and new products. Have a look!

Well first I must say, sorry I haven't blogged much this week. I have been extremely busy getting the credit card merchant sorted and the surveys and newzletter out. I did it all. Taking the credit card class Monday. The web survey is up and going, and June's newzLetter w/ current customer survey goes out in the morning. It feels great to have it done! I'm adding a few more items, then going to start working on the events page for HardLeatherz.com, and start putting a best roads survey out there to get the Raging Roads page up and going. I think by 2011 I should have the website how I want it ;-)

I received the new issue of Cycle World and it's the 10 Best Bikes of 2008 issue. Just in case you didn't get the memo, I'll gladly share my wealth of motorcycle knowledge with you. Here goes... Credit Cards are Coming! Look Out

I woke this morning on a roll. I had a great meditation, workout, and on to work for the day. I just got off the phone with my new merchant for my new merchant account. Yes, I finally decided on a merchant. It is very confusing and there are many over charging. I picked Sage Payments. Brenda, the lady I deal with, is very helpful and they worked with me. I was able to negotiate a pretty good deal with everything and it all will be set up by the end of next week. YEAH :-) I, then, finished the rest of my category descriptions that I have been working on for too many months to count, and sent those off to my web designer, Amy. She's fabulous, and does a fantastic job. Her and I have been working like crazy on improvements for HardLeatherz.com. I recently added a basic, blind survey to get an idea of the website as a whole. If anyone wants to leave their feedback for me, click the survey and let me know what you think! Well today is a short one, as I have a million things to do. My Servers are Mad!

My web servers have been down now for about a week. I have been going crazy trying to get orders filled, packaged, and shipped. Everything has to be done by hand and we have to go to the warehouse to confirm stock. Remember when we didn't have computers to make life easy...or is it difficult? I have been able to ship US orders but the international orders have to wait. Luckily the techs have been here and it should be up and moving within the next day or so. Good thing it's a holiday weekend!

Have a look at HardLeatherz website because, I have just added alot more items in Clothing Accessories and Bike Accessories, as well. The categories are more segregated with sub categories so everything will be at your finger tips and easy to find. I have actually went through the entire site and all the categories to fine tuned everything, and will be improving on it daily. I have also, decided to put together an online survey for HardLeatherz website. I am hoping to get incite and feedback from everyone that stops by. I believe it will help me improve the site, content, security, and give me an idea of what customers would like to see on the website. If you are signed up for my Edge List, I am revamping my emails also. I will be starting a monthly newsletter and an email for specials and updated. Look for it in your inbox. I'm really excited about these awesome additions. They are quite fun to research and put out. Keep a look out, things are getting HOT at HardLeatherz!

Hello All!

We've been working hard to get the website fantastic and it is almost there. We are adding many cool additions to the website. Great Newz! HardLeatherz will be accepting credit cards very soon. We've added our HardLeatherz blog link, our favorite sites and two more surprises. I am starting a new page that will list good riding roads, scenic vistas, and motorcycle friendly restaurants along the routes. I am searching for fun, scenic, twisty roads all over the US, to start. Then, I am going to branch out and list international roads, as well. If anyone out there has favorite places to ride and favorite stops along the way, let me know. I am also, adding an events page to let everyone know what's going on in their area. HardLeatherz is going to be the go to site for everything you need that is motorcycle related. So have a look often, you won't regret it!

How's the weather in your area? I went for a ride to Ft Worth today, and I have to say 95 on a bike is way too hot unless it's 95 mph. What's your best temperature to go for a ride in? Until next time, Always remember...Ride Hard!

Not too much going on today. I've spent the day adding all of Choiee and Chi sexy designer tops to the HardLeatherz website. Stop by and check out the Sexy Tops. You will absolutely love them. Webinars Again & Data Entry!

Hello!

I spent all day yesterday in webinars again. I'm learning a lot. I'm looking forward to putting the knowledge to good use. Yesterday and today, I have been doing data entry on the website and in the HardLeatherz Ebay Store. Check it out, I have some great auctions going! The website is almost up to speed and the way I want it. My web designer and I are still working on the SEO, but the site itself is looking good! I will start working on the sister sites probably when I get back from my grandmother's 90th birthday. As soon as those sites are moving along, I will let everyone know. Oh I almost forgot, I have a link to this blog now on the website. All this is very exciting. I am very passionate about the business. I really want HardLeatherz.com to be very successful. In Webinars All Day!

I have been in classes all day on how to effectively market my business, and to learn good blogging. That way I can post more informative and fun blogs. I worked all evening last night on my website. I have been fixing errors, pictures, adding new items and making the site look and run better overall. Any ideas, let me know. I am getting an email survey together to send out and add to the site as well. I want to know the best roads everywhere. Ok, here goes! I'm new at this and learning everyday. I've been working hard on the new HardLeatherz MySapace page (http://www.myspace.com/hardleatherz ) and it is coming along nicely. I've also been wearing my fingers to the bone on new stuff for the HardLeatherz site http://www.HardLeatherz.com . I am adding a new section for spectacular roads to ride and looking for suggestions from all the great riders out there to help me compile an awesome list of roads and stopping points of interest along the routes.
