Out of Space

So apparently blogspot had a limit of 1gig for photo uploads. Since I don't want to go through our blog and delete old posts and old pictures I'm going to set up a new blog.

The address is simple enough hardyandbethany2.blogspot.com

Please update your book marks and only use this blog if you for some reason want to view old posts.

So, here is the finished house with all our stuff unpacked and a few extra beds, courtesy of Bethany's Parents. Someday we plan to hang our pictures, we've just been busy and haven't bothered with it yet.

It's done. I didn't take a picture of the outside since it hasn't changed, but the inside has the kitchen, carpets and floor. We are excited to move in next week.

Vegas Siverts

2012-04-19T07:36:00.004-07:00

This last weekend we went to Vegas to visit Bethany's Brother and Sister-in-law that live there.
We had lots of fun. Bob is a helicopter pilot for a company that does tours over the Grand Canyon, so we got to ride standby and see the Grand Canyon for the first time. We also got to see some Dolphins at the Mirage Hotel/Casino. And we had a great time just visiting with Bob and Shelli.
Here are some of the highlights.

Tummy Poke

2012-03-31T15:15:00.000-07:00

Me: Kenzie come here.
Kenzie: why?
Me: I need to poke your tummy.
Kenzie: No, poking is evil! (as she walks toward me with a smile on her face)

What do you want to be when you grow up?

2012-03-28T20:23:00.001-07:00

We asked Kenzie tonight what she wanted to be when she grew up. Here is what she said.
"I don't want to do anything, I just want to sit around eat food and watch movies."
After getting over the shock and devastation that we've failed her so badly in her first three years we tried to turn that into something positive and suggested she could be a film and food critic. I'm not quite sure if she understood.

On the bright side, when asked who she wanted to marry she picked me. So I guess I haven't failed her too badly. :)

We found this on a drive up the canyon in Ogdon. It is actually called Devil's Slide, I didn't make that up.

Speaking in Spanish

2012-03-18T07:46:00.000-07:00

Yesterday Bethany asked Kenzie if she remembered how to say "I love you" in spanish. Kenzie said, "plthe-thema-thaba-i-love-you-theba-betha-spanish"

We told her that wasn't quite right and asked her again how to say "I love you."
This time she said, "I love you" with an accent.

February, a bit of March and the meaning of life

2012-03-11T20:40:00.000-07:00

So, funny story, tonight at my Mom's house we were sitting around the table and decided to ask Kenzie some questions we were sure to get awesome responses to. So we asked Kenzie what the meaning of life is and her response... "The meaning of life is chocolate." (said with a mater-of-fact look on her face)
If I wasn't sure before I am now, she is a girl. No question about it.

Our New Sectional Couch, got it for a steal at $500

Bethany wanted to try and "perm" Kenzie's hair.

The sectional couch above came in two of these boxes, luckily I got rid of one of them before we had no space left in the apartment.

After a few days of no space Bethany converted Kenzie's two bedroom flat into a studio apartment. I'm glad we got some space back in Kenzie's room.

House hunt is over!

2012-02-19T10:31:00.000-08:00

So after looking at something like 1.2 billion houses for sale in Utah county we decided to have one built for us in Lehi. We are really excited to move into our own house, but mostly we are excited to not have upstairs, downstairs or next wall neighbors anymore.

The house will be built right off the American Fork Main Street exit from I-15. It's about 15 minutes from our parents houses and 5 minutes from Bethany's Brother. Since it's to be built we don't have any pictures. We do, however, have a floor plan you can see.

Halloween Last year and this year

2011-11-13T08:43:00.000-08:00

Here's a comparison between last year and this year and just how much Mckenzie has changed in one year. Most of you who read this can see the big changes because you don't live with her. Bethany and I were suprised to see the difference because we just don't notice the small changes over time.

Seattle

2011-10-30T13:46:00.000-07:00

So, last month Amazon.com emailed me asking me to come to Seattle to interview with them. They said they would cover all the expenses and I've always been interested in working there so I couldn't say no. So enjoy some pictures of Seattle. I couldn't help but be a tourist while not interviewing. They didn't offer me a job but it was sure a fun trip. I walked some where around 9 miles over the two and a half days I was there to get all these pictures and about 200 more.

Again, the black building is the Columbia Tower, the black one in the back ground.

The white building with the tower is the Smith Tower, it was the tallest building west of the Mississippi until 1960. I'm looking down on it from floor 75 of the Columbia Tower.

I think this is Mount Rainier
