The new world of 2012 is not something that simply will drop down on us ready made from the sky.

It is something that is created step by step through the various phases, so called days and nights, of the Mayan calendar that we are living through also at the current time and requires our active and conscious participation in the process as co-creators of this new world. In stark contrast to the media focus on a singular date and the end of the world that this purportedly will bring the only existing inscription about the end of the calendar from ancient Mayan times speak of the simultaneous manifestation of Nine different cosmic forces quite.

The Mayan calendar is a description of the exact rhythm with which these cosmic forces are manifesting and so the study of this is critical for anyone seriously wanting to use it for understanding the cosmic plan and how the birth of a new world will take place. What humanity is now immediately facing is the beginning of the sixth night, November 8, 2009 – November 2, 2010, a time period that, as part of this cosmic plan, may be expected to be very transformative but also very demanding through its effects on the world’s economic system. A night implies a “quantum jump” to a lower energy state of the universe and this one seems likely to bring a significant fall of the American dollar and an associated downturn in the economy.

This is discussed in more detail in the enclosed article (http://www.calleman.com/content/articles/nov8_sixth_night.htm ).

While this is likely to bring hardships it also creates the path to a new world where the emphasis will not be on doing, but on being, being in peace and harmony. Difficulties will however arise for us to achieve this if we try to hold on to the systems of the past and fail to flow in the direction that the cosmic plan is taking us. This raises the question as to how we may approach and relate to this time period in the most constructive way.

Here’s the last in the series of The Five Wounds sent to me by Nicholas. I hope that he sends me more interesting emails. What are your thoughts on them?

Recently a friend read Heal Your Wounds and Find Your True Self: Finally A Book That Explains Why It’s So Hard Being Yourself also by Lise Bourbeau. She read this in french & gave me a summarized translation. I found it very interesting, I thought you might find it interesting as well. Also by the author is Your Body’s Telling You: Love Yourself!: The most complete book on metaphysical causes of illnesses & diseases by Lise Bourbeau

There are 5 wounds and we suffer from each one of them in varying degrees. Some of the descriptions may fit and others not because of the uniqueness of each one of us.

Love
Nick

Just as Betrayal is twinned with Abandonment, Injustice is twinned with Rejection.

INJUSTICE

(good posture, nicely proportionned body, body appears rigid and closed)

When the child feels rejected by his same-sexed parent, he/she will then develop a sense of injustice.
The child then becomes a ‘rigid’ thinker.
Because of the rejection, the child switches from loving himself/herself in absolute love to loving according to performance/results.
Rigid thinkers perception is that they will receive love only if they perform correctly, and are fair. Because of the rejection, they want to become perfect by outside standards. They therefore cut themselves off from their feelings, and do everything according to outside (instead of inner) guidance (like being a good student, or going up the corporate ladder, for example).
They therefore rely on concepts such as bad vs good, evil vs nice, right vs wrong, and other outer standards.
They are the most prone to religion since they heavily depend on ‘judjment’, and control themselves to follow a set of external instructions, instead of trusting themselves….

They really have a problem with authority. They believe that people in authority are always right, because that’s what they were taught when young. Yet sometimes, inevitably, it’ll be in conflict with what they feel so they get angry because they can’t be themselves, really.
Since they don’t allow themselves to feel, or to live according to instinct, they become destabilized and insecure if outside sources are not ‘clear’. They fear confusion, but because they don’t allow themselves to ‘feel out’ (they don’t trust their feelings) situations, or what people are saying…. so they like to take things litterally, otherwise they feel lost and confused, and of course angry at people who aren’t ‘clear’

If rigid thinkers followed their own guidance system, they risk being rejected. So they won’t allow it.
Very early on, rigid thinkers (aka anal-retentive people, lol) want to do everything well and correctly. As kids, they had to ‘grow up’ a little too fast…
Rigid thinkers want everything to be PERFECT , and spend too much time preparing.
Because they solely believe in the perform-reward system, they work alot. They think they can only acquire things through hard work and perfection because that’s the only FAIR system, according to them. They therefore close themselves off (subconciously) to chance, and get envious of others when they acquire things more easily. They also spend a lot of time comparing things or other people.
Rigid thinkers think rigidly. Meaning when they have a desire, they think it can only be achieved a certain way, and close themselves off to all or most other possibilities/ways. For example, if they think the only way to getting fit is to go the gym everyday, they will stick to their regimen no matter what, loosing sight of their initial goal. They will shift focus on ‘going to the gym’ (the means) instead of focusing on their goal ‘getting fit’. So if one day they can’t go to the gym, they will 1/ feel guilty and 2/ sit at home not thinking of other ways of getting fit. If they don’t follow ‘instructions’ or ‘plan’, they feel like the whole thing is compromised…
Because of this strict attitude, they won’t allow themselves to rest. They HAVE to follow the plan (like brainwashed soldiers, I guess)…they won’t allow themselves to rest or have fun unless they DESERVE IT. They only treat themselves as rewards to hard work. Otherwise it wouldn’t be fair, and it would be too easy, and that’s not possible according to them.
Rigid thinkers have a BIG problem with receiving (gifts and in general). They think (subconciously) they are not being fair to others who have to work hard. So they feel guilty about it, and because of the great sense of guilt attached, they will eventually loose the gift/money etc…. Extreem rigid thinkers will work hard and not receive anything at all because they think they are not extraordinary enough. Those people tend to suffer from burn-out at work. They get very anxious because they are have an extreme fear of making mistakes. That’s because they are very obsessed on doing what’s RIGHT, and on perfection. They wouldn’t want to be rejected. Also they love TITLES (= reward to working hard, like good grades).
Rigid thinkers are completely cut off from their feelings. They are uncomfortable expressing emotions, and like to appear as though everything is going well, and never admit to others that anything is wrong. Because of this defense-mechanism (they don’t want to feel rejection), they have a great tolerance to physical pain. They won’t feel the pain until the wound or disease gets serious, which can put them in dangerous situations. Because of this lack of feeling, rigid-thinkers can appear cold or aloof to other people (something which they are aware of and don’t like). Rigid thinkers can be easily tricked by others, because they don’t feel them out, they just blindly believe what they say…they don’t want to be unfair, and they want to give others a ’shot’. Rigid thinkers want to be ‘good’ people…Because of this they live in a lot of ANGER.
Since rigid-thinkers are very scared of making mistakes, they attract situations in which they will have to make dificult decisions. For example, whereas controlling people will not commit because they don’t want to betray, rigid-thinkers are scared of picking the wrong partner.

in a nutshell: rigid thinkers in black and white, get caught up with ‘how ‘ to do things, are perfectionnists, don’t open up to alternative ways, closed-minded, don’t allow ‘chance’ to come into their lives, do things out of honor and justice. Work, work and work…do not show their feelings, and don’t ask for help either. Of course they miss out on a lot and don’t even know why, but they do feel very envious of others and are always comparing. Because they won’t allow themselves to be themselves, they CANNOT EXPRESS THEIR INDIVIDUALITY. I think those are the people who easily get trapped in the rat race or who really rebel against it.

With just 222 days to go to the second biggest sporting spectacular in the world, these headlines are making the news.

Our new Minister of Finance, Pravin Gordhan, has promised a great tournament, stating that next summer’s competition will provide a “uniquely South African” experience…

“Next year, as we invite the world to join us in a great festival of football, we will demonstrate that we can take on a giant project, work to a plan, complete major construction projects, reconfigure city transport systems, and energise a uniquely South African diversity of hospitality arrangements,” Gordhan was quoted as saying on FIFA.com.

Not to be outdone, our very own Oscar winner, Charlize auctioned off a meeting with Madiba without official consent from the Nelson Mandela Foundation. The winner will now be told she cannot meet the global icon but she did end up getting a kiss on the smacker.

And finally as reported elsewhere on this site, detailed Google Maps is now available in South Africa to cater for the hordes of visitors to our shores next year.

“Our goal with Maps is to make information with a geographical dimension available to everyone and to allow users to update the maps and develop on top of them,” says Stephen Newton, country manager for Google South Africa.

BETRAYAL

(muscular or stocky body, intense & active eyes, seducer)

reaction = control-freak

A person who suffers betrayal has first suffered from abandonment.

The child who feels abandoned by his same-sex parent, seeks solace from his/her opposite sexed parent.

If this other parent doesn’t respect the child’s idealized vision of a relationship, he/she will feel abandonned and then BETRAYED by this parent.

The attention needed (resulting from the sense of abandonment) causes the child to want to do everything to seduce and impress the opposite-sexed parent. The child grows up using this method to get everything that’s needed. With this attitude, the controller attempts to control everything and everyone through seduction and manipulation. The controller is desperatly trying to prove to the world that he is special. If the opposite-sexed parent is not convinced (i.e; not giving in to a demand), the child’s wound of betrayal will deepen, and will become even more determined to be ’special’…

Control freaks use their strength to show everyone how capable and perfect/impressive there are. They do not allow themselves to be weak, and want to be known as strong responsible people. There are very attached to their reputation.

The child feels so attached to the opposite sexed parent, it’s like being ONE person. Thus, if the child feels betrayed, the wound feels like an intense rip at the abdomen. As adults, these people usually don’t like to commit because they don’t want to feel that rip again. These people therefore attract unavailable partners or unfaithful partners. When they are in a relationship, they become one with the other person (like they did with their opposite-sexed parent) and if things go wrong, they will do everything in their power to delay the break-up or make it seem like it’s the other person who is initiating the break-up (for fear of being blamed of betrayal). So when it comes to relationships, it’s often an all-or-nothing situation. They do not want to be seen as the ‘needy’ abandonned child that they are, so they use their seduction/power to cover up that wound.

Controllers have the obsessive need to show how strong and powerful they are. They want to show others what they are truly capable of achieving. They think giving in to their fears or doubts is an act of betrayal. They are therefore not inclined to easily forgive themselves or others.

When they start a project, they do not want to backtrack or abandon (even if they should) because of their reputation or sense of responsibility. They can get into huge debt because of this. When they do abandon projects, they feel like they have betrayed themselves, and tend to repeat the cycle many times (they try too hard and so they give up eventually). They really need to be recognized as strong & important, responsible people. They therefore tend to develop a little (or big) tummy with age because they think they need to take up space and want to show their power (subconciously located at abdomen). Male control freaks tend to also develop upper body muscles in order to show their strength & power.(to defend themselves) . Female control freaks tend to protect their lower bodies with extra fat (pear shaped). This results from the fact that since they seduce/manipulate to obtain something from others, they fear that others will do that to them too. They therefore protect their sexual parts with a protective layer of fat. In their heads, they always fear that other people will ’screw’ them…(’se faire avoir’). Usually, that’s because their parents were also controllers, and instead of loving their children for who they were, they would manipulate them into doing things for them. For example, saying things like ‘you are the best at washing the dishes’ to get the child to wash dishes (making the child feel special in order to manipulate)….Women & men who develop lower-body fat can signal childhood sexual abuse.

Control freaks need people to trust them. That’s why they take everything so seriously. However, they do not trust others in helping them, so they do everything themselves. At work, they do not trust their employees, so they give them unimportant tasks to do. They wouldn’t want to risk their reputations. They are very bossy because they think they know everything better than others and they also think they can do it faster.

In their bossiness control freaks actually think they are servicing/helping others. But it’s the complete opposite. When a boss stops being too controlling (i.e. governing thru fear), and directs without necessarily imposing one specific way, the team is more efficient. A boss can be a boss and still learn from his/her employees. Control freaks need to KNOW everything. They cannot admit that they do/did not know something. They also tend to speak for others or butt in/intervene when they shouldn’t (they like to show their power).

When asked to do a sepcific job/task, even if they haven’t even thought about it, they will automatically say yes, even if they later realize they do not have the ressources. They do not want to appear weak, and they do not want to betray, so they often end up lying, causing complicated situations. If somebody doesn’t believe them, they will feel betrayed. Also, since they like being the boss, they do not accept authority. They must feel like the idea/project comes from them, and not from another person, otherwise they feel manipulated.

They therefore like showing their power & strength because they:

#1 they do not trust others and fear they are going to be screwed and #2, they don’t want others to take advantage of them and control them. Control freaks therefore do not follow orders, even if it’s in their interest to do so. So they really have a big issue with TRUST.

Control freaks like to be surrounded with ‘weak’ & ‘dependent’ people that can easily be bossed around. It boosts their self-esteem and makes them feel ’special’ and important.

They will crush these people with their strong opinions. They tend to impose their opinions, trying to violently convince others. They want to show that they are the fastest, wittiest, smartest…and they have no patience with slow people.

Since they think they need to manipulate others to get what they want, these people can appear very charming. With their charming eyes, they easily put people at ease. When needed however, they will also attack/judge with their eyes, intimidating people.

Control freaks are easily impressed and intimidated by ’strong’ & ‘powerful’ people and do everything to avoid contact with them. They fear loosing control and appearing weak.

Soulution:

Acknowledge that you are trying very hard to cover up your lack of self esteem because of an inherent sense of abandonment. Accepting ‘weaknesses’ in others will help you to accept your own and vice versa. People feel more comfortable around those who aren’t perfect and admit it without judging themselves because that means they do the same with others. Perfect people are boring and intimidating because they don’t allow free flow exchange of information, since they always want to be the ones ‘teaching’ other people. Allow yourself to be imperfect and human and you will receive help from others. Know that you are ’special’ and you won’t be spending so much energy trying to prove it to others. Trust that events can unfold in unexpected ways, and don’t force a particular way. Trust that help and assistance can come from others, not just yourself….

This sounds like my dream job. Writing about the many reasons South Africa, I think, is awesome, I want this job and I want you to help me get it.

On Wednesday evening I followed a tweet by @afromedia and eventually found out about this job, http://www.brandsouthafricablog.com/2009/10/29/wanted-a-few-great-bloggers/

In a conversation with @japies, I realise that I will have to change my approach to blogging, which has been rather haphazard in the past, to secure this job. Japie describes the job specs:

A daily blog posting frequency

Commenting on other posts and starting conversations

Inviting guest posts by other bloggers and some celebrities to build brand South Africa

I knew this was coming and at my meeting with Mongezi yesterday, discussing my presentation at his next monthly netweb event, we brainstormed some ideas, see Japie wants me to send him an email describing why I believe I am the person for this job, easy enough to do, but I want to wow him with a few blog posts as if I’m already the resident blogger

All this is really exciting, but my already made plans for today mean that I can only fully devote myself to the task tomorrow, but in the meantime I wanted your help in getting me this job. Please engage with me in a conversation about why you like South Africa and why you believe I should be Brand South Africa Blog’s blogger.

Please leave your comments here:

And check out http://brandsouthafricablog.com too
