Having grown up in West Tennessee, Harrietta Harper moved to Kentucky, earned Bachelor and Master degrees in music from Murray State University, and taught public school music. After retirement, Harrietta began to paint as another outlet for her love of the fine arts. An award winning artist, Harrietta prefers to paint in a loose painterly style with lost edges and varying degrees of realism, often forcing color. Acrylic is her medium of choice. Reception for Harrietta will be March 11th from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. The art will be display April 9th.
