My Parents' Recent Visit

My parents stayed with us for a visit recently and we had a great time. We took them for a walk around the neighborhood and down part of the Fanno Creek Trail, took a trip to Powell's Books in downtown Portland. We also had dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants, The Old Spaghetti Factory. We also spent a lot of time sitting around and talking. We also had a visit from my Aunt Helen and Cousin Steve.

I haven't posted anything for a while so I figured I would put up some pics. We are all doing well. Cassidy is in her last week of a swimming class and starting baseball this week. Anna can't stop talking and every day her words get clearer and easier to understand. This is really a fun time in a child's life as their ability to communicate expands so rapidly. They can FINALLY tell you what they want, even if they have to repeat it 10x before you understand.

This evening the dog was in the kitchen so the Licky didn't want to get down but Anna was sitting on the chair. As a result, Anna got to snuggle kitty in a way Licky normally would never allow.

We had fun on Halloween and carving pumpkins the day before, even Anna got into the carving. Unfortunately she came down with a fever Friday afternoon and wasn't able to go trick-or-treating but she and mom snuggled up and watched a Halloween movie together while Cassidy and I went out. Cassidy was dressed up as an angel in an original costume made by Terri!

Cassidy's Birthday was this weekend!!! We took her out to the Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner Saturday and we got to sit in a bed. Sunday was the birthday party. We had some of her friends over and made tie dye shirts ate cake and had a lot of fun.
