First, you can make money with one, if you are very good. Good horse racing handicappers who learn the art of money management and how to find good bets can make money betting on horses. Good poker players that can read the cards and their opponents to find good bets can make money, too.

If you notice a common theme, you're right there. It's about finding a good bet. Horse players have sometimes to locate a bluff and knowing when to call it.In Holdem poker, good players learn counting outs and pot odds. figure In horse racing, handicappers learn to rate horse, a chance to win and then put a fair value on that.

A place where you will find lots of bluff on horse races is claiming races. Claiming races, also known as sales pitches, are a study in human nature and deception. When a coach has a good horse and wants to win a race, he or she needs to put that horse at a level that can win. Unfortunately, in the ranks, arguing, this means that another coach or owner can claim the horse. Some of the judges smarter of horsemeat are masters at game supporting.

While it's a big boost for the ego to win a race of large stakes, as for example the Kentucky Derby, equestrian, saying that a trainer made his life to claim the races is a great compliment. It means that he or she really knew horses, how to find a good, as one of the patches and how to keep it long enough to make some money with it.

If you are racing handicap for money and you want to make money on claiming the races, you had better learn to locate a bluff. one way to be bluffing trainers is using wraps up front on a horse, even if you do not need. Obviously, envelops front may mean lameness, or tendon problems. Not many trainers want to claim a horse lame or one with bowed tendons. But if a trainer uses this trick too often, the other will wise men and the front doesn't keep wraps his horse to be claimed.

Just as in poker, a bluff should be rarely used to ensure that, when to bluff, the other players do not call, racehorses, using wraps will work only if used sparingly.

Other cliffs are very slow works, switching to a no name rider, a sudden and dramatic decline that ask the price, even starting rumors that a horse is a serious problem. You can be sitting in the kitchen track having breakfast and overhear a trainer that someone says that a horse is all washed and has a bad problem. A few days later you see you take a dramatic drop in class and win easily, but no one claimed the race. Probably served to hear that voice and even to spread it around.

You never know if it was true, but the coach has exceeded any problem was the horse, or if it was just a fib to keep you from claiming that horse. As well as, a horse racing handicapper managed to make money off these situations? First of all, you need to keep good notes and be careful. This means that you cannot play a lot of tracks at once. If you can get physically to a track, go to ring saddling and watch the horses and write notes on equipment.

Then see how they make these horses.Almost every track has few trainers who are masters of the game supporting. If you can figure it out, you can make a living their horses betting because one knows when they are well designed.Used to watch a certain trainer who had cheap horses and made a living in the ranks arguing. When he sat in the first row of the Gallery, I knew his horse was going for the win, they don't have always won, but at least I knew were well designed.

When she sat top, where he earned a better view, knew that only he was watching. The reason for the change of venue was that had problems, his age, walk down to the circle of winners and arrive on time for the photo from the top perch. For a while this trick worked fine, but then there was foxed from sitting down down when he had no notion of winning. we bought anyway and bet his horse, only to watch it to take a little breeze for exercise. you must know when they are bluffing, but we did a lot of money until we took a couple of times and we paid some of it back.

The horse racing systems more consistent we must have the basics and a handicapper must understand the basics. I was around racehorse 50 years included as owner Without the bases. the rest isn't going to do any good. If you want to learn how a horse owner and insider disadvantages just go to http://williewins.homestead.com/truecb.html and get the truth.

Bill Peterson is a horse racing handicapper former owner and professional He comes from a horse race handicapping family and as he says, "Horse racing is in my blood." To see all material horseracing by Bill go to http://williewins.homestead.com/handicappingstore.html, by Bill handicapping archive.

Horse Racing Tips - How To Lay Favourites And Make A Profit Every Single Day

The server was unable to process the request due to an internal error. In effect YOU become a bookmaker and take bets from people who think that the horse WILL win.

I do not know if you have your own system or you use horse racing tips from a tipster, but this a very simple horse racing system anybody can use.

It is not complicated at all and it is simply pressing 1 button on Betfair exactly the same as you would if placing a win single bet {Pink lay button instead of the blue win button}

Some people will tell you that laying horses is a sure fire way to end up in the "poor house" and they would be dead right if you don't do it properly and this goes for ANY bet you have, not just laying.

Say for example we have a 12 runner horse race and you wanted to bet 1 of these to win that race, you will then have ALL the other 11 horses running AGAINST you and are trying to stop your 1 selection from winning.

Now on the other hand we have a 12 runner horse race and we pick 1 horse to LOSE {lay} we now have ALL the other 11 horses running FOR US and if any of those 11 horses win that race WE WIN!!

Some tipster give these kind of horse racing tips and I can assure that if done properly it can make you quite a lot of money!

So the odds are WITH you and not AGAINST you when laying.

The only problem with laying horses to lose is with YOU and the way you select them. You would imagine that "Laying" the outsider in all races would certainly stand you in good stead as the majority of them lose and you would win the majority of the time BUT unfortunately if you take that course you WILL come unstuck at some point and you WOULD wipe out any previous profits plus more from your original betting banks, as they do win now and again.

Lets just imagine that the outsider in every race was 33/1 and you wanted just £10 profit per race, to win that £10 you would have a liability of £330, meaning that if that horse were to win YOU would LOSE £330, just not worth the risk!! You would only need 1 per week to wipe you out.

So if laying the "Worst" horse in any given race is no good, then which horse SHOULD you lay?

Good question, which most of the people out there don't know the answer for but today YOU are going to find out the EXACT method that generates me and the subscribers of my well known "Sure2Profit Membership" ( http://www.Sure2Profit.com/membership.html ) over £80,000 of tax free profits per year!

==The "Favourite"==

Some of you probably think that I am a bit mad at this point, why would I lay the best horse in every race... what kind of horse racing tips is this??

Well, simply put the BEST horse in any race may NOT really be the best horse! The favourite in ANY race is only the favourite because WE make it the favourite by placing lots of money on it, it's as simple as that.

So if 1,000 people who DON'T know what they are doing place £1000 each on the same horse then it could become the favourite even though its last run was down on Blackpool pleasure beach!

What we are going to do is to find "false" favourites, favourites that because of one reason or another shouldn't really be favourite.

Statistics show that favourite win their races just 30% of the time, some races are GOOD for favourite and some races are BAD for favourites.

Would you bet a 6/4 favourite in an 18 runner handicap race? I certainly would not BUT I would lay it, with the other 17 runners ALL running for me.... these is common sense horse racing tips!

Your liabilities are also good with you only risking £15 if the odds were 6/4 {2.5 on Betfair} to win £10, I'm sure you would agree that this is a lot better than the example above where you risk a LOT more for the same reward.

You may now see why "Laying" can be quite safe and very profitable.

==The Selections==

This part really is very simple and it will not take you long to find quite a few "False Favourites" Just follow the rules over the page.

1: Armed with either your daily newspaper or at the racing post website {Or Both} simply select the races with the most number of runners in them.

2: Ideally, you should look for handicap races which have 16 runners or more.

3: If you can find any, Apprentice races and women jockey races are very good for laying the favourite.

4: Once you have these marked off , simply go through them and pick all the "Handicap" races. These are the races that are best to concentrate on.

5: Pick out any handicap races that have odds for the favourite quoted as no more than 7/4.

6: The above horses would be DEFINATE bets, don't worry if there aren't any on certain days, simply go to any race that has 16 runners or more.

7: Some days you may find that there are no 16 runner or above races, if this happens simply look for 14 runners etc.

8: When you have all the corresponding races, just go to http://www.betfair.com and check out the odds there for your selections.

9: If the odds are 2.8 and lower, then these are DEFINATE bets.

10: Do NOT lay selections that are below 1.9 on betfair, although a fair few of these lose, a fair few of them win as well and that we DON'T want.

When sticking to the above you will have great success when laying horses, when also using a sensible staking plan BUT if you add the following few rules to the above then you will achieve even more success.

So here is my personal horse racing tips:

1: After making your selections, either at the racing post website or any daily newspaper, just check to see if your horse is a "Course & Distance" winner {Shown as CD NEXT TO THE HORSE}. If it is then DON'T lay it.

2: Is your selection carrying any more or less weight than it did in its last race? If it is carrying more weight then LAY it, if it is carrying less weight then do NOT lay it.

4: Is your selection stepping up or stepping down in trip? if so then you SHOULD consider laying it.

5: Has your selection either a lady or apprentice jockey riding it? If so then LAY it because they DO make errors of judgement.

Apart from the above to make this work you will also need a sensible staking plan, one that will keep your money relatively safe and make your whole betting experience an enjoyable one.

I use something quite simple and recommend you do it this way as well but you are obviously at liberty to do whatever you like.

I will take a £1,000 betting bank as an example:

Divide your betting bank by 200, so in this example it is £5. So a profit target on day 1 of £5 per race. I know exactly what you are thinking at this point..."Not quite as much as I was hoping for!!!"

Well, admittedly its not a lot but if you are aiming for say 8 such races per day, then £40 is not to be sniffed at, and remember this is only day 1, from day 2 your profit target may well be £6 per race. Trust me on this one, it doesn't take too long to get your betting banks built up enough so that you are aiming for £25, £50 or even £100 per race.

To put it all into perspective let us say that you achieve an easy 5 winning bets per day, that's an overall percentage profit of 2.5% DAILY or nearly 18% total weekly profit added to your betting banks or to give it a monetary value NEARLY £1000 profit in the first 4 weeks.

Take it to week 8 and your betting bank has now grown to £3800 and from there on in you will be aiming for a race profit of £20, or £100 per day @ 5 winning races per day.

As long as you look at any of your gambling activities as a long term BUSINESS venture, then you will achieve much more than if you look at it as a quick source of income to help out with any financial difficulties that you may have.

==Golden Rules ( The Real Horse Racing Tips! )==

1: After making your selections, either at the racing post website or any daily newspaper, just check to see if your horse is a "Course & Distance" winner {Shown as CD NEXT TO THE HORSE}. Anna Waller, a member of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of North Carolina, co-authored a four-year-long study of jockey injuries and stated to the New York Times that "For every 1,000 jockeys you have riding, over 600 will have medically treated injuries." She added that almost 20% of these were serious head or neck injuries. The study reported 6,545 injuries during the years 1993–1996.[47] More than 100 jockeys were killed in the US between 1950 and 1987.[48]
Horses also face dangers in racing. 1.5 horses die out of every 1000 starts in the US. The U.S. Jockey Club in New York estimates that about 600 horses died at racetracks in 2006. The Jockey Club in Hong Kong reported a far lower figure of .58 horses per 1000 starts. There is speculation that drugs used in horse racing in the US which are banned elsewhere are responsible for the higher death rate in the US.[49]
A bet to win, sometimes called a "straight" bet, means that you stake money on the horse, and if it comes in first place, the bet is a winner. In a bet to place, you are betting on your horse to finish either first or second. A bet to show wins if the horse finishes first, second or third. Since it is much easier to select a horse to finish first, second or third than it is to select a horse just for first, the show payoffs will be much lower on average than win payoffs.
In Europe, Australia and Asia, betting to place is different since the number of "payout places" varies depending on the size of the field that takes part in the race. For example, in a race with seven or less runners in the UK, only the first two finishers would be considered winning bets with most bookmakers. Three places are paid for eight or more runners, whilst a handicap race with 16 runners or more will see the first four places being classed as "placed". (A show bet does not exist in the North American sense.)
The term "Each-Way" bet is used everywhere but North America, and has a different meaning depending on the location. An each-way (or E/W) bet sees the total bet being split in two, with half being placed on the win, and half on the place. Bettors receive a payout if the horse either wins, or is placed based on the place criteria as stated above. Most UK bookmakers cut the odds considerably for an each-way bet, offering the full odds if the horse wins but only a third, a quarter or a fifth of the odds if only the place section of the bet is successful. In the UK some bookmakers will offer a sixth of the odds for a place on the Grand National and increase the number of places available to achieve this to finishing in the first five. This additional concession is offered because of the large number of runners in the race (maximum 40). Occasionally other handicap races with large fields (numbers of runners) receive the same treatment from various bookmakers. The rough equivalent in North America is an "across the board" bet, where equal bets on a horse are set to win, place and show. Each portion is treated by the totalizator as a separate bet, so an across-the-board bet is merely a convenience for bettors and parimutuel clerks. For instance, if a $2 across-the-board bet (total outlay of $6) were staked on a horse which finished second, paying $4.20 to place and $3.00 to show, the bettor would receive $7.20 on what is essentially a $6 wager.

Betting

At many horse races, there is a gambling station, where gamblers can stake money on a horse. Gambling on horses is prohibited at some tracks; the nationally renowned Colonial Cup Steeplechase in Camden, South Carolina, is known as one of the races where betting is illegal, due to a 1951 law. Where gambling is allowed, most tracks offer Parimutuel betting where gamblers' money is pooled and shared proportionally among the winners once a deduction is made from the pool. In some countries, such as UK, Ireland and Australia, an alternative and more popular facility is provided by bookmakers who effectively make a market in odds. This allows the gambler to 'lock in' odds on a horse at a particular time (known as 'taking the price' in the UK). Parimutuel gambling on races also provides not only purse money to participants but considerable tax revenue, with over $100 billion wagered annually in 53 countries.[45]

Pedigree

While the attention of horse racing fans and the media is focused almost exclusively on the horse's performance on the racetrack, or for male horses possibly its success as a sire, little publicity is given to brood mares. Such is the case of La Troienne, one of the most important mares of the 20th century to whom many of the greatest thoroughbred champions, and dams of champions, can be traced.
In most horse races, including both flat and steeplechases, the pedigree of the horse is one of the things that allow it to race: the horse must have a sire (father) and a dam (mother) who are purebred individuals of whatever breed is racing.[43] For example, in a normal harness race, the horses sire and dam must both be pure Standardbreds. The only exception to this is in Quarter Horse racing where an Appendixed Quarter Horse may be considered eligible to race against (standard) Quarter Horses. An appendixed Quarter Horse is a horse who has either one Quarter Horse parent and one parent of any other eligible breed (such as Thoroughbred, the most common Appendixed cross), or both parents are registered Appendixed Quarter Horses, or one parent is a Quarter Horse and one parent is an Appendixed Quarter Horse. The designation of "Appendixed" refers to the addendum section, or Appendix, of the Official Quarter Horse registry. AQHA also issues a "Racing Register of Merit" which allows a horse to race on Quarter Horse tracks, but not be considered a Quarter Horse for breeding purposes (unless other requirements are met).[44]
A stallion who has won many races may be put up to stud when he is retired. Embryo transfer technology (only allowed in some breeds) has brought changes to the traditions and ease of breeding.
Pedigrees of some stallions are recorded in Weatherbys Stallion Book and pedigrees of recent Stakes race winners can be found on sites such as the-racehorse.com. However, this type of racing was sponsored for entertainment purposes only. No betting was conducted. It was in 1920s that "Modern Horse Racing" involving a betting system made its debut. In 1922, the Chosun Racing Club, the nation's first-ever authorized horse racing club, was established to make horse racing more systematic and better organized. In 1923, the pari-mutuel betting system was officially adopted for the first time in Korea. The Sinseol-dong racecourse opened in 1928 and incorporated racing clubs were allowed to have their own racecourses.
Finally in 1933 a decree on horse racing was promulgated. Under the decree, only incorporated racing clubs were entitled to conduct horse racing. The Chosun Horse Racing Authority was also established in 1933 to coordinate and control incorporated racing clubs across the nation and ensure consistency in their administration.
In 1945, the Chosun Horse Affairs Authority was renamed to the Korea Racing Authority, and efforts were made to restore the national identity in horse racing. However, the Korean War which broke in 1950 resulted in great turmoil for Korean society, thus undermining the development of horse racing. Worse yet, during the three-year war, racecourses were requisitioned for military training and horse racing came to an abrupt halt.
To keep the tradition of horse racing alive, the Korea Racing Authority worked out a plan to reestablish the racecourse at Ttuksom in Seoul. The construction, which began during the war, was completed in May 1954. With its dedication, horse racing resumed, and the newly constructed Ttksom racecourse served as the hub of Korean horse racing until it was relocated to the modern racecourse in Gwacheon in 1989.
Pari-mutuel bets were tallied manually until 1984. The inefficient management of pari-mutuel betting system was a major stumbling block to broadening the fan base. To overcome this fundamental obstacle, the computerized pari-mutuel betting system was established in 1984, and at the same time, horse racing came to be televised in color, both on-&off-course. These two measures have played a decisive role in boosting attendance and turnover. For instance, in 1984, turnover and attendance increased at 67% and 58%, respectively, from the previous year.
To form a link in the chain of the program to make the most of the Olympic facilities, the government designated the KRA as the organization exclusively responsible for providing the Olympic Equestrian Park. Accordingly, the KRA secured 280 acres (1.1 km2) of the land in Gwacheon area on the southern outskirts of Seoul, and began its construction in 1984 till 1988. After the Olympics, the Park was converted into racing facilities named Seoul Race Park and the first race was held on September 1, 1989. With the opening of the Seoul Race Park, the 36-year-long era of the Ttuksom Racecourse came to an end and the nation's horse racing continued to make great strides.
As part of the efforts to preserve the ponies native to Jeju Island, which has been designated as Natural Monument No. 347, the KRA began the construction of the 180-acre (0.7 km2) Jeju Racecourse at the foot of Mt. Halla in October 1987. Three years later in October 1990, the Racecourse opened for pony racing.
As an effort to raise racing quality and promote horseracing nationwide, the KRA started to construct the new thoroughbred racecourse in Busan, the second largest city in South Korea. The racecourse opened in September 2005. The stellar growth of Korean racing and KRA's internationalization efforts have drawn the international attention since the beginning of the 2000s. Led by this, in October 2002, the Asian Racing Federation decided to designate South Korea as the host of the 30th Asian Racing Conference in May 2005. Also, in June 2004, the International Cataloguing Standards Committee included Korea as one of the Part III countries, and decided to add seven South Korean Grade Races to the Blue Book list starting from 2005.

[edit] Pakistan

Horse races are held in Pakistan at four different clubs. There are a total of thirty racetracks in Japan. Ten of these tracks are known as "central tracks", where most of Japan's top races are conducted. Races at these ten tracks are conducted by the Japan Racing Association (JRA), which operates under the oversight of the Japanese government. The remaining twenty tracks are operated by municipal racing authorities and run under the affiliation of the National Association of Racing (NAR). The JRA purse structure is one of the richest in the world. As of 2007[update], a typical JRA maiden race for three year olds carries a purse of ¥9.55 million (about US$83,000), with ¥5 million (about US$43,000) paid to the winner. Purses for graded stakes races begin at around ¥75 million (about US$650,000).
Japan's top stakes races are run in the spring and autumn. The country's most prominent race is the Grade 1 Japan Cup, a 2,400 m (about 1½ mile) invitational grass race run every November at Tokyo Racecourse for a purse of ¥530 million (about US$5.4 million), currently the richest turf race in the world. Other noted stakes races include the February Stakes, Takamatsunomiya Kinen, Yasuda Kinen, Takarazuka Kinen, Arima Kinen, and the Tenno Sho races run in the spring and fall. The race carries a purse of ¥170 million (about US$1.4 million).
The top jockey in Japan is Yutaka Take, who is a multiple champion in his homeland and regularly rides Japanese horses in stakes races around the world.
