New wmodes in Flash Player 10

Flash Player 10.1 includes two new window modes (wmode) which control how the Flash Player pushes its graphics to the screen.

Traditionally there have been 3 modes: normal, transparent & opaque. The newly added two wmodes are direct and gpu.

Adobe has started the count down to release CS5 to the end user. I was much eagerly waiting for it for the last 8 months. I was eager to develop iPhone Application using AS3.0 and Flash/Flex(but I some how managed working with OpenPlug...till now). After seeing this video I came to a conclusion that developing Flex/Flash Applications for iPhone using CS5 will be more easier. To register for online event of Adobe CS5, visit this page.

Lot of changes have been done in Adobe AIR 2.o. Christophe Coenraets has posted a good example (including source files) on Embedding Tomcat and BlazeDS into an AIR Application. But a small drawback is that you can try out that example on Flex Builder 3.x you have to download the Adobe Flex Builder 4.x. Google has announced a simplified solution for tracking Flash content for everyone, called Google Analytics Tracking For Adobe Flash.

Google says, "This feature is a translation of the current Google Analytics tracking code into the ActionScript 3 programming language that dramatically simplifies the ability to track Flash, Flex and AS3 content."
