In the Android Partner Apps team, we are looking for developers who are excited at the possibilities of opening up deep integrations in our application and framework for our partners to leverage. These apps include Launcher, Dialer, Camera, Messaging, among many other entry points, and the goal is to build immersive experience that leverages technologies and features from other exciting companies straight in our native apps so that a user can get the full experience in one place. By working on our team, you will get to interface with teams from different companies, define APIs to add to our SDK, and ultimately build a better user experience by combining the advantages of our apps with our partners’ technologies.

As the leader of the Android Apps Team you will:

* Lead of a team of developers and be responsible for mentoring and giving direction to the team
* Be deeply involved in the hiring process for your team as well as help sister teams with interviewing candidates
* Work with product team to clarify product requirements and build out the UI flows and experiences with the design team
* Work with partners to define APIs, determine the split of responsibilities, and help drive the project to ship
* Lead and be responsible for the architectural design and APIs created in our SDK to enable partner integration experiences
* Implement complex new features and functionality both in apps as well as in the Android framework
* Get the chance to work on many different apps including Launcher, Dialer, Camera, Contacts, ?Gallery and many more ?

To be successful in the role, you should have:

* Experience in leading a team of Engineers
* Extensive experience developing complex Android applications?
* Have a strong understanding of the Android framework
* Exceptional OO design and development skills?
* An expert understanding of the Android SDK?
* Experience in costing and architecting large features based on requirements from Product
* Experience in prioritizing work items and weighing/understanding risks during different phases of a product cycle?
* Successfully shipped multiple projects?
* Be able to work well with others in a fast paced environment?
* Be open minded and excited to learn new things
