Description:
Rapidly growing company is seeking an experienced Software Engineer. Principal responsibility is to design, develop, configure, test and document applications and framework enhancements. This role will be reporting to the VP of Technology.

Ideal candidate will be an experienced developer who has:
- Experience with high availability J2EE Java applications
- Exposure to OOA/OOD and Agile methodologies
- Experience with relational databases
- Experience with JMS distributed messaging systems
- Familiarity with current mobile technologies (WAP, SMPP, MMS)

Responsibilities:
- Participates in designing, estimating effort, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, integrating and documenting software.
- Applies generally accepted programming standards and design patterns to software development efforts.
- Assist support and operations in resolving configuration and technical issues in a "last tier" support capacity.
- Participates in design and code reviews of software components to assure detailed technical requirements and implementation meet feature requirements.
- Refactor and maintain existing code on a continuous basis.
- Responsible for working independently and with others. Reports progress of assigned deliverables to technical and team leads.
- Develop systems to interface and integrate with various vendors and clients.

Job Requirements:
- 4+ years systems development experience with a heavy focus on software design and development.
- Experience with java frameworks, including Hibernate, Spring, Spring MVC, and XML is a big plus
- Mobile Industry experience a plus.
- BS Degree in Computer Sciences or related field is a plus.
- 2+ years software development experience with Linux, Apache, Tomcat, J2EE (preferably JBoss), Java, SQL, JMS, Ant, Eclipse.
- 1+ years experience with UML required.
- 1+ years experience as a user of enterprise-class configuration management software (such as Subversion or CVS) required
- 1+ years experience with JUnit required.
- 1+ years experience with agile development practices including Test Driven Development, Refactoring, paired programming, continuous integration, automated acceptance testing, etc.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability/initiative to define and evolve processes to ensure continuous improvement.
- Swing experience preferred.
- REST and SOAP experience preferred.
- SMPP and MMS experience preferred.
- Experience with enterprise application integration technologies and patterns strongly preferred.
- Experience with software installation and deployment patterns strongly preferred.
- Position requires a minimum of a B.S. Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Position Description:
The responsibility of this position encompasses management of a large-scale unified communications network throughout all phases including: innovation, development strategic planning, lifecycle planning and budgeting, unified communication architecture and design, large-scale project implementation, and ongoing support. As a senior engineer, the candidate will play a key role in ensuring the network performs at optimal levels, and will be able to sustain rapid domestic and international company growth. A Network Engineer is required to possess knowledge of Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) concepts and related hardware and software.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working with technologies such as Cisco Voice over IP (VoIP) and Cisco IPCC, Cisco routers, Cisco switches and content acceleration devices, Cisco wireless access points and controllers, various network management software, network protocols like TCP/IP, and the ability to track and trace complex problems using network packet captures. The desired candidate must be familiar with WAN technologies such as Frame Relay, MPLS, Private Line, VPN, and emerging branch office wireless technologies such as EVDO. Engineers should exhibit a strong understanding of LAN concepts such as trunking, spanning tree, layer 3 switching, and understand how virtualization is rapidly changing the landscape in the data center. Advanced Engineering experience must also include network capacity planning, network performance and measurement skills, ability to resolve complex problems, diagnostics and debugging; an understanding of distributed systems management techniques; understanding of change management and problem management concepts; and evaluation of new technologies which may add top line growth to the company or reduction in operational expenses. Must be able to design, implement, and support complex data network topologies.

Requirements:
- CCIE certification (lab and written exam) or equivalent level of experience required.
- Must be proficient with Cisco IOS configuration and troubleshooting across multiple platforms including: Cisco routers, Cisco switches, and Cisco wireless access points.
- Background in networking protocols and codecs to include: TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, RTP, RTCP, VRRP, MGCP, H.323, SIP, G.711 and G.729.
