Skill Requirements:

Minimum 5 years working with Tivoli Workload Scheduler or equivalent scheduling software.
Minimum 3year administering Tivoli Workload Scheduler v8.5+.
Minimum 5 years working in support of an IBM z/OS mainframe operations support or technical support senior/lead position
Solid understanding and hands on experience with Unix/Linux/Windows.
Solid understanding and hands on experience on a IBM z/OS mainframe ( JCL, IDCAMS, console commands, ISPF, CICS )
Prior experience with developing scripts in the following languages: Perl, Unix/Linux shell scripting, Window batch
Basic understanding and support knowledge of MQ both client server and z/OS
Some DB2 experience is helpful in support of IBM products
Knowledge and experience in using IBM Tivoli Monitoring and Websphere products is helpful
Ability to regularly exercise a high degree of independent judgment and discretion in high pressure situations.

Minimum Responsibilities

The ideal candidate would interact with application teams to provide support of the daily batch cycle and recommend workload scheduling solutions.
The candidate shall setup and configure jobs on the mainframe and mid-tier (e.g., WinTel, Solaris, Linux, AIX) scheduling environments.
The candidate shall provide day-to-day scheduling operation and related support services, including, but not limited to, monitoring, executing, and controlling batch processing.
The candidate shall execute automated batch processing to include, but not limited to, IBM Tivoli Workload Schedule access components such as Job Scheduling Console and Integrated Solutions.
The candidate shall monitor batch job processing.
The candidate shall troubleshoot routine batch processing errors to isolate cause of failures, and initiate recovery actions working with application developers, functional analysts, engineers and other IT specialists.
Executed tasks using IBM mainframe utility programs, online/interactive packages such as, but not limited to, TSO, ISPF, IDMS, DB2 and CICS.
Executed tasks using IBM Job Control Language (JCL).
Participate in team on call rotation, including occasional night and weekend work.

The primary responsibilities of the Application Architect are:

Review and provide feedback on all designs in terms of technical feasibility and impact on performance, operability and maintainability
