Service Control Manager

A client located in NYC is currently seeking to fill a full time position for a Service Control Manager. Below is the job description, please let me know if you are interested in this position.

To provide full operational and processing support and deputise in absence of the Service Control Manager on all aspects of the shift operation.
Deputise for the Service Control Manager in their absence.
Provide operational and technical support services
Day to Day responsibilities will vary according to the role played by the Shift being worked on, the Service being managed and the deadlines and varying processes to be adhered to.
Individuals will need to be multi skilled and will be expected to be able to undertake all of the functions.
Ensuring the timely completion of scheduled operational tasks and system events as per the Daily Checklist.
Monitoring the rates of funding and settlement against defined deadlines and escalating non-performance.
Escalate any failure of any of the Core systems and its packages, any of the business systems, any of the communications networks (SWIFT FIN, SWIFT NET and IBM Global Network) and any of the data feeds.
Monitoring and support of Business Systems as documented in the procedures and responding appropriately to any faults.
Provide Technical and Operational support
Monitor and resolve issues with Bank clients and Bank Gateway performance.
Monitoring the infrastructure outside of the core operating hours.
Perform intraday and end of day reconciliation of statements from the Central Banks.
Monitor opening and closing of RTGS and other systems.
Liaison with Members, Liquidity Providers, Central Banks, RTGS system operators and Nostros regarding failure of their processes and systems.
Invoking and executing Failure Management and Crisis Management procedures.
Produce and distribute regular internal and external facing reports in various formats, e.g. Word/Excel/Email .
Compliance monitoring and execute compliance related tasks.
Produce schedules and perform all testing and trial activities.
Operate and manage the Test Service in accordance with live operational procedures.
Process Static Data Changes for all Participants and handling of Static Data enquires.
Acquiring and maintaining current knowledge of relevant products and systems.
Perform and support project work as required.
Deputy Specific Objectives:
Effectively manage the team when the Service Control Manager is absent including:
Supervise activities of staff on the shift and addressing any issues / requests from staff in a timely manner.
Managing effectively the service against the service timeline.
Ensure seamless handover from shift to shift and that problems/issues are fully documented and understood.
Escalate any issues and manage crisis events as per standard procedures.
Serve as a point of contact and resolve any enquires directed to the Service Control Manager during his/her absence

The Application Support Analyst is responsible for executing procedures to test, implement, support and maintain the clients Global Applications. The focus of the position will be to provide training and support for the implementation of the clients collaboration tools (Intranet and Extranet) in North America. This will include; provide excellent client service, promote and champion the product in the region, providing support for new releases, actively participating in user acceptance testing, assist in defining training curriculum, build training materials, lead advanced and basic end user training sessions, contribute to the end user support portal, establishing best practices, compile case studies to share across the network and work with the product team to communicate user requirements.

Responsibilities

Become an expert user and develop comprehensive knowledge of the functionality for collaboration tools and related global applications
Conduct hands on training sessions and be the primary point of contact in the region; providing daily support, troubleshooting, configuration, installation and Super User training on collaboration tools and related global applications
Create implementation documents and manage the implementation of each site from initial discussions to site launch. Assist the business in completing site requirements, regularly following up and providing support where required
Create training curriculum (syllabus, handouts, FAQs, guides etc.) and regularly update training materials and end user support documents based on UAT results and user feedback for the appropriate applications
Communicate new release information and regularly communicate with the business to raise awareness and promote capabilities of the applications
Contribute to the Intranet Support sites to facilitate knowledge sharing, extend support offered in other regions and enable end-users to become more self reliant
Verify, manage, track and communicate the status of issues reported by the user base in the region for the appropriate applications

Qualifications

Bachelors degree preferred from an accredited college or university is highly preferred
Minimum 5 years of overall work experience; 2-3 years of prior experience acting in an application support, client service or end user training role, preferably with a global organization
Knowledge of Sharepoint or a web based collaboration tool is required
Experience in the media or advertising industries is highly regarded
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Further language skills will be highly regarded
Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple concurrent tasks while maintaining attention to detail

Firewall Engineer/Architect

JOB OVERVIEW
The candidate, who will be part of the Global Network Design and Architecture team, will be primarily responsibile for design and architecture of the firewall system. The candidate is expected to be a subject matter expert on firewall technologies centered on Checkpoint products and will provide Level 3 (L3) support. Involvement in other security related technologies and network operations will also be required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, architect and provide L3 Support of the entire firewall environment
Advise on upgrades, overall system design, and new technologies for CheckPoint products
Use network sniffers such as Ethereal to solve complex problems
Conduct firewall policy reviews and document best practices
Support the operations team with any issues related to the global firewall system
Create detailed documentation regarding the operation of configuration of the firewall system

Project Managers must have come from a web development background (they are not expected to write code)
Technology client is using is HTML, Dreamweaver and JavaScript
Media experience is nice to have
PMI certification is a big plus, but not a deal breaker

Those 2 methodologies will be built off of the PMBOK methodology that the client is currently using, so anyone with agile or scrum should know PMBOK.

The FMS Reports Architect/Developer Lead will perform the following tasks :

Substantial experience with strong understanding of logical and physical data modeling, especially in the creation of business intelligence data models, access methods, designs and strategies.
Must have excellent business analysis skills, able to interact with senior business staff to derive and interpret needs.

Qualifications:

Experience supporting and troubleshooting a large Routing / Switching environment
Experience supporting and troubleshooting a multi vendor firewall environment
Experience capturing and decoding data with Sniffer and Niksun capture devices
Qualified candidates should be able to explain the following:
The process to locate the offending device that caused a dup IP issue...
IP addressing schemes
Problems that would be caused if speed/duplex miss matches were configured / incorrect subnet masks or gateways configured
