HOT POD #7: Pirate Day and Carnival Preview.

The first annual pirate day in Hastings was an enormous success! Huge crowds turned out to watch the pirates procession and catch a glimpse of some impressive Pirates of The Caribbean impersonators do their thing. Bill Wicken, President of the Old Town Carnival Association has also been telling us what’s in store for Saturday’s climatic parade!

Hundreds of people each donated a pound to have a go at cycling a butcher’s bike up the Old Town’s steepest hill, WITHOUT the benefit of gears OR lifting their bottoms off the seat! We also spoke to Pram Race Organiser Nikki Parker ahead of Wednesday’s event, which has attracted some celebrity interest this year!
