While the other hamburger chains are innovating, updating, advertizing and at least trying: McDonald's, Burger King, Jack in the Box & even Sonic run commercials and try new ideas. The smaller chains are growing and expanding Carl's Jnr, Five Guys, In-N-Out and others are expanding into new states, Wendy's has done nothing.

In fact times are so bad at Wendy's they wheeled out the Where's The Beef" line from 20 years ago and "Wendy" the daughter of founder Dave makes a brief appearance on a recent TV ad.

Meanwhile back at a Wendy's drive through somewhere in Houston your intrepid blogger tries the new thicker patties by ordering a Number 2 meal w/lemonade. Driving home nibbling on french fries as we all do little do I know what awaits me.

Home, greet the dog, open the Wendy's bag to find Wendy's now serves their burgers half unwrapped inserted into a french fry package wrapped at the base but half the burger is open to the air cooling as I drive. I will add photo soon. WTF I say to the dog. I take a bite the burger is cold.

Week later I return to same store order the same meal ask the burger be wrapped, both the order taker and person at the pick up window tell me the same thing. Wendy's corporate will not allow the individual restaurants to wrap the burger like everyone else. You have to sell it open and cooling. Customers are not given a choice.

I don't know how many people have to eat the burger the minute they order it as they exit the drive thru I am not one. Even with half the burger naked, half is wrapped so the customer is going to have to stop to unwrap the balance of their burger.

Please would someone tell me what's going on. I have ordered at other Wendy's and been told the same thing. One store wrapped the burger but apparently no longer even have the to go wrappers and had to use some white paper that is not large enough to do the job.

Sirius XM Satellite Radio Traffic nearly dead

Both of you reading my blog know I believe Sirius XM has the worst radio traffic information service ever despite having the most unbelievable opportunity to do it right.

Recent events have confirmed what I always suspected, that they do not want to do Traffic so they put the most incompetent mangers in charge who hire the most useless personnel to operate & broadcast the traffic info.

From XM having 1 city per channel we now have Sirius/XM giving us 3 cities per channel. They are only a budget review from 4 cities per channel which no one will listen to (because there are 4 cities per channel) it will be cancelled to make way for additional 24 hour non stop Howard Asshole and Apie & A-hole reruns.

Oh yes your monthly fee will be increased to pay for the loss of traffic & weather coverage. Suckers.

Yesterday our potential new Republican President vetoed legislation that would have made texting while driving punishable with a $200 fine.

Claiming the law was “a government effort to micromanage the behavior of adults” along with 23 other laws Perry stroked his veto pen across months of work by a legislature that meets every 2 years.

When asked if seat belt & drink driving laws were government efforts to micromanage the behavior of adults Perry said put the legislation on my desk to sign and you'll see. FYI the last sentence is not true it is satire.

For those of you with all of your stored music in Windows Media player and who like to give out star ratings for as many songs as possible go to the Library tag on the left side and click Ratings then double click Five stars.

You will see in a second or three what individual songs you think you really like. You may say to yourself "Jesus H what the hell is wrong with me" or you may be comfortable in your musical orientation.

My potentially embarrassing choices include:
