Duties and Responsibilities

Support the international group within the Hatfield group of companies by:

Identifying and developing new business opportunities, including managing the preparation and submission of proposals and project bids
Managing projects and ensuring deliverables and other reporting obligations are met on time and on budget
Managing culturally-diverse teams and ensuring projects are adequately resourced
Proactively assessing and managing project risks
Undertake monitoring and evaluation activities as required by the project

Competencies

Capable of building and maintained strong relationships with clients, with a focus on delivery of high quality products and services

Required Skills and Experience

Education:

Advanced degree in an Environmental, Water Resources, Social, or Development-related field(s).

Experience:

15 or more years of relevant experience, preferably within the international/trans-boundary settings in the fields of sustainable natural resources management, integrated watershed management, climate change mitigation and adaptation, development planning, or similar assignments.
Proven track record and experience in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of environment, water and natural resources and climate change related programmers / projects at transnational, national, sub national and local levels.
Excellent computer literacy.
Experienced at working with governments, non-governmental agencies, community-based organizations, inter-governmental organizations, major international development partners, and funding institutions.
Experienced at organizing multi-stakeholder meetings, and effectively communicating with targeted audiences including policy-makers and the private sector.

Wildlife Technicians in Fort McMurray, Canada

General Description: Wildlife technicians participate in programs which assess and monitor wildlife conditions in the Athabasca Oilsands region. General Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing Hatfield’s corporate marketing, communications, and business development activities. The successful candidate will be based in Hatfield’s North Vancouver office, with some travel required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will oversee all Hatfield corporate marketing and business development activities, including:

1) Business Planning:

Coordinate the preparation of annual business plans for the Hatfield Group of Companies (currently Canada, Indonesia, Laos, and Botswana).
Compile business plans into an Annual Corporate Operating Plan.
Quarterly review of progress towards business plan objectives.
Provide support to senior management in achieving their business objectives.

2) Corporate Website and Marketing Collateral:

Coordinate website design activities.
Prepare web content and weekly news items.
Develop and maintain social media marketing strategy.
Maintain the content of corporate marketing materials.
Prepare corporate marketing and business development presentation materials.

3) New Business:

Monitor business leads and ensure go/no-go decisions are reached for all leads.
Maintain a monthly win-loss record.
Oversee large requests for proposals through developing a proposal plan, responsibility matrix and coordinating meetings with the proposal team.
Facilitate weekly Marketing Committee meetings with the Partners responsible for Domestic and International Business Development.
Participate in associations, conferences and local networking events to promote Hatfield.

4) Other:

Produce a monthly Report for the Senior Management Group in the company.
Supervise one or more junior staff in the marketing and business development group.
