Busy with work and car accident and medical advice

2010-09-04T10:39:00.000-07:00

Aloha all,
Well, I have been MIA for about the whole year this year. It has been non stop. The year started out with a big job. The big hotel job ended about a month ago.
On tax day, April 15th, 2010, I got into a big car accident. Ever since that, my life has turned upside down. I just found out last week Saturday that my arm was broken and no one told me. I have nerve damage, muscle problems, shoulder, back problems, neck problems, arms are painful and headaches. This has been a very painful experience and an ongoing battle. Daily living has slowed down for me tremendously. I am unable to do a lot of things because of all the ongoing issues.
Anyway, MY POINT IS.......be your own advocate and get your medical records yourself and review them. No one will do it for you and no one will follow up on the information but you.
Most of you know me....I don't really get too personal on the blog. My purpose of the blog was to inform moms.
So, the same point will apply to your kids. Be your childs advocate.
Mom's Club recently asked the members in Hawaii Kai to help someone that is going through the issue with a child of special needs. My advice is to go to your childs doctor and then talk to the doctor about your concerns. They will refer you to specialists and see if you qualify for services and payments for preschool and or schooling if the child is older.

You can help by doing something fun such as blowing bubbles or pinwheels. Or write down personal messages on paper with phrases such as breathe slowly and or calm down and or I can do this. You can also have the numbers formula method 1, 3, and 10 which stands for 1 to calm down, take 3 deep breathes and count to 10 formula works really well with adult stress too. Have fun tangible toys such as a koosh ball and or silly puddy and or stress balls. Hero

2010-01-23T10:59:00.000-08:00

This lady, Tammy Camp, who works in a Shell gas station owned by Kevin Dalton on the mainland saves a newborn. An amazing story that I was able to catch on Tuesday on the Headline News Channel. The pregnant lady comes in and goes to the bathroom and takes the key. The pregnant lady comes out and delivers the baby in the bathroom and comes out to put the baby in the trunk. Then Tammy asks her what she is doing. Tammy grabs the baby and calls 911. She saves the baby's life 2 times! Because they baby may have been a stillborn. Tammy brought the baby back to life! A true hero!!!!
