They at risk for higher mortality, poor physical and mental health, cognitive decline, dementia and elder abuse. Often their living environments are riddle with trip and fire hazards. Silver Spoons has a goal for 2018 to serve 100 of these Kupuna at risk.

Helping Those Impacted by Harvey

We recently had the opportunity to travel down to the Houston area with my Keller Williams colleagues to lend a hand to homeowners whose homes had flooded due to Hurricane Harvey.

When Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Houston, it brought with it destructive amounts of rain and left in its wake tens of thousands of displaced people and hundreds of thousands more without power.

We recently had the opportunity to travel down to the Houston area with my Keller Williams colleagues to lend a hand to homeowners whose homes had flooded due to Hurricane Harvey. Overall, this experience has been incredibly rewarding. We got to help a lot of families, but there are many more people who still need help.

Rebuilding these areas is going to take more than a couple of weeks, so it’s important that we keep the energy going in the coming months as we help people get back to their normal lives.

The third position is for Listing Managers. We’re looking for someone that is organized, detailed, ambitious, confident, goal-driven, has shown tons of initiative and is results-oriented. A love for problem-solving and "thinking outside of the box" is a must! This person will work directly with clients and vendors as a project manager to get our listings looking as best as possible. Once it looks amazing they will professionally market the home around the globe and attract multiple offers with our proprietary system.

The fourth position is for Listing Specialists. Specifically, we’re looking for a talented, experienced sales professional with proven closing skills. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience closing transactions and a desire to strategically advocate for our sellers.

Finally, the last position we’re looking to hire is that of a Chief Negotiator. This position ensures our Sellers have an amazing customer service experience from the start of the offer process to the closing of their transaction. They will need to be an experienced Realtor who has has proven strategic thinking and excellent people skills.

• Be a team player who thrives working with a tight knit company where their activities directly affect the bottom line.

Compensation: Minimum $100K

Listings Manager

This position would be responsible for providing fiduciary service to all sellers from the time their home goes on the market up until it goes into contract. Qualifications include:

• Highly detail-oriented and customer-service oriented.

• Proficiency in working with email, MS Office and project management software.

• Social media experience.
• Real Estate License a plus (but not a requirement).

Listing Specialist

This position would be responsible for providing fiduciary service to all sellers from the time their home goes on the market up until it goes into contract. Qualifications include:

• Willingness to learn new tools, systems, and technologies

• Ability to exercise active listening and active questioning skills to build rapport and uncover client needs.
• Team player: you're resourceful, decisive and hold yourself accountable for the customer experience. You’re persistent and resilient when working through challenging situations
• Ethical: you live by our values already, and always do the right thing

• Local knowledge: you know your community like the back of your hand

Compensation: Skies the limit

Chief Negotiator

The primary job of our Chief Negotiator is to ensure offers to purchase are negotiated, accepted and executed to protect and promote the interests of our Buyers and Sellers. Qualifications include:

• Two or more years of experience
• Strong negotiating skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
• Ability to problem solve and provide solution alternatives

Keller Williams allowed me to move from being a Realtor to being a businessman and entrepreneur with a large, successful firm. Are you looking for a change that will help your career grow?

How Much Tax Are You Paying on Your Investment Property?

How We Help Aging Families with Their Homes

I was fortunate to be recently featured on KITV to talk about Aging Well, a concept that started with our team.

For more than seven years now, we've been helping families decide whether they should move or stay in their home after their kids move out. A lot of folks want to age in place, and we can help with that. That could mean downsizing and decluttering, or simply installing things like grab rail bars.

Some Kupuna choose to move out, though, and we can help with that as well. We help them look at things like where to go, what the cost will be, and whether it's the right decision for them.

We can help find the right home or make your current home work.

Since we've done this for so long, we're able to expertly walk these folks down that path and ask the right questions to help them discover what's best for them. Additionally, I'm a CAP Certified specialist, so I specialize in helping those who want to age in place stay in their home.

Although I'm a Realtor, my goal is not to sell the home of someone in this situation, but to help them with their life. How can we enhance their life in whatever way that may be? That could mean decluttering, creating better walkways, installing grab rail bars, or whatever it takes to allow them to live at home gracefully.
