Eid Do and Don'ts

Assalam-o-Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu

Below are some sunnahs of Eid-ul-Fitr and mistakes related to it.
Anas (ra), a companion of prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) reported that when the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) migrated from Makkah to Madinah, the people of Madinah used to have two festivals. On those two days they had carnivals and festivity. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) asked the Ansaar (the Muslims of Madinah) about it. They replied that before Islam they used to have carnivals on those two joyous days. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) told them: 'Instead of those two days, Allah has appointed two other days which are better, the days of Eid-al-Fitr and Eid-al-Adha.' (Hadith)

EID-UL-FITR is celebrated on the first day of Shaw'waal, at the completion of Ramadan. Shaw'waal is the 10th month of the Islamic calendar. The Eid-al-Fitr is a very joyous day; it is a true Thanksgiving Day for the believing men and women. On this day Muslims show their real joy for the health, strength and the opportunities of life, which Allah has given to them to fulfill their obligation of fasting and other good deeds during the blessed month of Ramadan.
Sunnah of Eid

• Wake up early. Don't forget your Fajr Salaah!

• Prepare for personal cleanliness; take care of details of clothing, etc.

• Take a Ghusl (bath) before going to the praying place.

• Dress up, putting on best clothes available, whether new or cleaned old ones.

• Use perfume (men only).

• Have breakfast on Eid-al-Fitr before leaving for prayer ground. On Eid-al- Adha, eat breakfast after Salaat or after sacrifice if you are doing a sacrifice. No particular food is recommended, but keeping in view the tradition of the Prophet (PBUH), dates are preferable. He (PBUH) used to eat an odd number of dates. (Bukhari, Hadith 953).

• Pay Zakaat-al-Fitr before Salaat-al-Eid (on Eid-al-Fitr) . Allah's Messenger (PBUH) prescribed Zakaat-ul-Fitr as a purificaiton of the fasting person from the useless and obscene talk he had engaged in and as FOOD for the poor.

• Go to prayer ground early.

• Offer Salaat-al-Eid in congregation in an open place except when whether is not permitting like rain, snow, etc.

• Use two separate routes to and from the prayer ground (go to it taking one street, return by taking a different street).

• Recite the following Takbir on the way to Salaat and until the beginning of Salaat-al-Eid:
Allahu-Akber, Allahu-Akber. La ila-ha ill-lal-lah. Allahu-Akber, Allahu-Akber. Wa-lilahill hamd.

(Allah is great, Allah is great. There is no god but Allah. Allah is great, Allah is great. And all praises are for Allah).

How to offer Eid prayer:
Ibn Abbass (ra) reported: " I participated in the Eid-ul-Fitr prayer with the Messenger of Allah (saw), Abu Bakr (ra), Umar (ra) and Uthman (ra), and all of them held Eid prayer before Khutbah, and then the Prophet Muhammad (saw) delivered the Khutbah (sermon)." ( Muslim )

Who should go to the prayer ground & offer Eid Prayer:
Umm Atiyah (ra) reported: "The Messenger of Allah (saw) commanded us to bring out on Eid-al-Fitr and Eid-al-Adha, young women, hijab-observing adult women and the menstruating women. The menstruating women stayed out of actual Salaat but participated in good deeds and Duaa (supplication) . I (Umm Atiyah) said to the Holy Prophet (saw): Oh! Messenger of Allah, one does not have an outer garment. He replied: Let her sister cover her with her garment."

On the Eid day, every believing man, woman and child must go to the prayer ground and participate in this joyous occasion.

Structure of Eid prayer:
Eid prayer is wajib (strongly recommended, just short of obligatory). It consists of two Rak'ahs (units) with seven Takbirs in the first Rak'ah and five in the second and the recitation of the Quran in both is after the takbir. This is according to the Sunnah. (Abu Dau'd, hadith 1151)

It must be offered in congregation. The prayer is followed by the Khutbah.
The Khutbah is part of the worship and listening to it is Sunnah. During the Khutbah, the Imam must remind the community about its responsibilities and obligations towards Allah, fellow Muslims and the fellow human beings. The Imam must encourage the Muslims to do good and ward off evil. The Muslim community must also be directed to the state of the community and the Ummah at large and the feelings of sacrifice and Jihaad should be aroused in the community. At the conclusion of the prayer the Muslims should convey greetings to each other, give reasonable gifts to the youngsters and visit each other at their homes. Muslims should also take this opportunity to invite their non-Muslims neighbors, co-workers, classmates and business acquaintances to Eid festivities to expose them to Islam and Muslim culture.

A rose protects its beauty with thorns; a Muslimah protects her beauty with her

Hijab! Women in Islam are just like pearls in a shell, priceless treasures, and

most beautiful treasures on the Earth are hidden. So, it is important for a Musl

im women to cover her body by taking Hijab because they are also considered as b

eautiful treasures in Islam.

Moreover, wearing Hijab is adherence to the Qur’an and Sunnah, which makes it obvi

ous that it is a religious duty. We have numerous proofs in both, the Qur’an and t

he Sunnah that clearly explain the significance of Hijab.

Allah said, “O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the be

lievers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e.screen themselve

s completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, th

at they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. and

Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Qur’an, 33:59)

Narrated Safiyah Bint Shaibah, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that w

hen the verse, “And to draw their veils all over juyubihinna (i.e their bodies, fa

ces, necks, and bosoms).... (Qur’an, 24:31) was revealed, women cut their waist sh

eets at the edge and covered their heads and faces with that piece of cloth.” (Buk

hari). Veil has been prescribed for women to block the road to sin.

Now-a-days, Hijab is used for adornment, to look good and attractive. They are s

titched to the perfection of the body, hence revealing the figure, something whi

ch is ought to be concealed and not revealed. In addition, women also wear perfu

me, intentionally or unintentionally, but it is also another feature of attracti

on.

Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said, “Every eye is lustful and when a woman a

pplies perfume and then goes about in an assembly, she is like such and such, i.

e. an adulteress.” (Mishkat)

It is very rare that women are seen observing the Hijab correctly for the purpos

e it intends to fulfill. A Hadith narrated by Ibn Hibban, “If a woman offers her f

ive daily prayers and fasts her month (i.e., Ramadan) and guards her chastity an

d obeys her husband, it will be said to her, ‘Enter Paradise from whichever of the

gates of Paradise you wish.’

And Allah said, “Stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of t

he former times of ignorance.” (Qur’an, 33:33)

We think modernism is in uncovering, but women who display their beauty are ofte

n subjected to sexual exploitation by immoral people. If exposure of the body is

modernism, then animals are far more modern than us. If you want Jannah and wan

t to see Allah, if you want to live in the palaces where one brick is of gold an

d another is of silver, the rivers of wine, milk and honey are flowing from unde

rneath, then cover yourself by wearing a Hijab, don’t wait for your funeral shroud

to be the first time your body is covered with. Be like a diamond precious and

rare, not like a stone found everywhere!

-- Allah swt sent Hazrath Jibrael A.s. to test the level of Syedina Ibrahim A.S

. remembrance thrust who just recited part of the first Tasbhee of Taraveeh whic

h increased the thrust of Syedina Ibrahim A.s. to remember Allah SWT in that way

of tashbee and have requested Syedina Jibrael Alayhi salaam to teach him more t

ashbee who was at that time in a traveler's disguise and asked Ibrahim A.S., wha

t you will give me if I teach you more tashbee? -- Then Syedina Ibrahim A.S. for

each part of the tashbee he learnt from Syedina Jibrael Alayhi Salaam, gave one

fourth of his huge lambs farm's lambs until he acquired the complete Tashbeen w

hich is what we recite after two Rakat and four Rakat of Taraveeh prayers. -- Ma

y Allah SWT bless us more and more taufeeq to glorify Allah SWT during this mont

h and get its bounties with the intercession (Wasila) of Syedina Ibrahim A.S.

SUNNATS OF A GATHERING

The following does not only apply to an Islamic gathering but can be implemented in all types of gatherings.

Effort should be made that Allah Ta'aala is remembered in every gathering and Durud Sharif is recited at least once in the gathering. Hereunder are a few Sunnah (Plural of Sunnah) taken from Hadeeth:

* It is not permissible for a person to sit, in a gathering, between 2 people without their

permission. (Tirmizi)

* It is incorrect to remove any person from his seat and sit in his place. (Bukhaari)

* Sit close together and not far apart. (Abu Dawud)

* If any person comes into a gathering, then out of respect, one should make place for

him. This will make the new comer feel accepted (It is therefore advised even if there is

place in the gathering). (Baihaqi)

* If there are three people in a gathering, it is wrong for 2 people to speak in a language

which is foreign to the third. (Bukhaari)

* Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has mentioned a Duaa to be recited before standing

up from a gathering. It will be a means of forgiveness of the sins commited in it. Insha

Allah I will send out the dua tomorrow.

Dream - A portion of Nabuwwah

Introduction:

Rasoolullah (Sallallaahu-alayhi-wassalam) is reported to have said Ru'ya of dreams are a portion from the forty portions of nabuwwah. That is why every person is not privileged to give the ta'beer or interpretation of dreams.

Only a person who has the following qualifications is authorised to do so:

1) He must have adequate knowledge of the Tafseer of the Qura’aan

2) He must be a Hafiz of the Ahadeeth of Rasoolullah (Sallallaahu-alayhi-wassalam)

3) He must be well versed in the Arabic Language.

4) He must be familiar with the roots of words so he knows where its derived from.

5) He must be familiar with the nature and status of people.

6) He must be familiar with the basic principles of ta’beer or interpretation

7) He must be possess a pure and clean soul

8) He must be a man with sound morality

9) He must be honest in speech and conduct.

Why all the above requisites? Because when giving the ta'beer (interpretation) of a dream, at times, the aspect of time has to be taken into account and at other times, the ta'beer is given directly from the Quraan, and Hadeeth and again, at other times, the usage and phraseology is taken into account. Sometimes, instead of taking into consideration the one who see the dream, the Mu'abbir (interpreter) will take into account someone who resembles him (ie. the observer of the dream) in personality or name. Sometimes an interpretation is given by name only or by the meaning of a word only or by its contrasting meaning. Again, at other times the root-meaning of a word is taken into account, or the lesser or greater meaning of a word is taken into account.

HAJJ

Hadrat ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhuma reported that the Messenger of Allah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam has stated,

“‘O People! Allah has made Hajj incumbent upon you.’ Hadrat Aqra’ ibn Habis stood up and inquired, ‘O Messenger of Allah! Is it incumbent each year?’ The Messenger of Allah said, ‘If I say ‘yes’ then it would be made obligatory and incumbent upon you each year, and if it was to be made incumbent each year you would not be able to fulfill this religious duty. Thus, Hajj is only once in the lifetime and those who exceed this (do more than once) then the (extra) is nafl (optional).’” [Mishkat, Kitab al-Manasik, Page 221]

From this we understand that the Holy Prophet has full power, control and authority on Shari’ah and Sacred Islamic Laws. If the Messenger of Allah desired, he could have made Hajj obligatory and incumbent each year. Hadrat ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhuma reported that the Messenger of Allah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam said,

“He who intends to perform hajj should hasten to do so.” [Sunan Darimi, Vol. 2, Page 27]

Hadrat ‘Abdullah ibn Mas’ud Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu reported that the Messenger of Allah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam said,

“Make the Hajj and the Umrah follow each other closely, (wear the Ihram for Qiran, in which the intention of Hajj and ‘Umrah is done or perform both the Hajj and ‘Umrah consecutively) for they remove poverty and sins as a furnace removes impurities from iron, gold and silver; and Hajj which is accepted, its reward is Paradise.” [Sunan Tirmidhi, Abwab al-Hajj, Vol. 1, Page 167]

Hadrat Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu reported that the Messenger of Allah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam said,

“Anyone who went out (of his house) with the intention of performing Hajj, ‘Umrah or fighting in the Path of Allah, and then passed away as he was on his way, then Allah the Most Exalted shall forever write for him the reward of a Haji, one who performs ‘Umrah and a mujahid.” [Mishkaat, Kitab al-Manasik, Page 223]

Hadrat ibn ‘Abbas Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhuma reported that the Messenger of Allah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam said,

“Never should any woman travel (even if it be for Hajj) without her mahram (to which she cannot marry i.e. marrying to him is Haram) [Sahih Muslim, Baab Safar al-Mar'ah Ma'a Mahram, Vol. 1, Page 434]

Hadrat ‘Ali Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu reported that the Messenger of Allah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam said,

“If anyone possesses enough provision and an animal to mount on (or any other conveyance) to take him to the House of Allah and (despite this) does not perform the pilgrimage, there is no difference whether he dies as a Jew or a Christian. This is because Allah the Most Exalted has stated, ‘Pilgrimage to the House is a duty men owe to Allah, those who can afford the journey’.” [Sunan Tirmidhi, Baab Ma Ja'a minat Taghleedh, Vol. 1, Page 167]

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1. To perform Hajj to “show off” to others or pretence or to perform Hajj from wealth which is Haram (such that it was gained from Haram means) then it is Haram to go to perform Hajj. [al-Durr al-Mukhtar, Radd al-Muhtar, Bahar-e-Shari’at Vol. 6 Page 719]

2. If Makkah al-Mukarramah is situated at a distance of three days or more (normal walking distance which equals to approximately 57 ½ miles or 92 kilometres) from the place of residence of a woman who intends to perform Hajj then she must, (irrespective of being young or old,) accompany her husband or a “Mahram” (those relatives to whom it is Haram for the woman to marry; whether this prohitibiton is because of a blood-relation such as the son, brother, father or because of a foster relation or the in-laws, such as the father-in-law, or the son of his husband from his previous wife) [Bahar-e-Shari’at]

3. The husband or the “mahram” with whom the woman can go to perform Hajj has to be sane, mature and not a fasiq (transgressor). One cannot perform Hajj with an insane, immature or a fasiq. [‘Alamgiri, al-Durr al-Mukhtar, Bahar-e-Shari’at]

4. It is haram for a woman to go to perform Hajj without her husband or any “mahram”. If she does so, then she has accomplished the religious duty. However, a sin shall be written on every step she takes (to and fro). [Fatawa-e-Razawiyyah, Vol. 4, Page 691]
5. Some women go to perform Hajj with her spiritual guide (Peer) or a very old man (who are ghayr mahram for them). This is also unlawful and Haraam.

6. If there is no husband or “mahram” to accompany the woman, then it is not wajib for the woman to perform nikah (in order for a valid person such as her husband to accompany her to go to perform Hajj). [Bahar-e-Shari’at]

7. If one has an amount of money sufficient for him/her to perform Hajj, but not enough to bring gifts and souvenirs for friends and relatives on return, then to perform Hajj is still incumbent (obligatory) upon him/her. Not to perform Hajj because of the insufficient amount of money to bring gifts and toys is Haram. [Bahar-e-Shari’at]

10. A woman who is in her menstrual cycle (haiz) cannot perform Tawaf-e-Ziyarat (Tawaf-e-Ifada) on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah. If she cannot perform this Tawaf on this date due to her menstrual cycle, then if she becomes ‘clean’ after this date until the sunset on the 12th of Dhul Hijjah, it is obligatory on her to perform this tawaf. If even after these dates, the woman has not become ‘clean’, but has become clean after these dates, then it is obligatory for her to perform this Tawaf.

a. If a woman who is in her periods (menstrual cycle) can take tablets to terminate the menstrual cycle, then she can do so. However, doing this shall cause harm to one’s health. Therefore, it is advisable not to do it. [Fatawa-e-Markazi Dar-ul-Ifta – 11th Year – 2006 - Page 35]

b. If a female can change her return date back to her country, in order for her to become ‘clean’ and thereafter perform this Fard Tawaf, then she should do so. Otherwise, if she returned back to her place of residence, not having performed this Fard Tawaf, then her Hajj is incomplete. She shall have to retrun in the “Months of Hajj” which are Shawwal, Dhul Qa’dah, first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah; and then perform the Fard Tawaf (Tawaf-e-Ziyarat). She shall also have to sacrifice an animal in the haram boundaries, as atonement for reutnring to her destination without having performed this obligatory Tawaf. 11. Those who have been blessed with performing Hajj and visiting the August Presence of the Holy Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam should (on return to their places) draw people closer towards religion; by giving them gifts which helps them to do so. Such gifts include giving books of the Ahl al-sunnah wa al-Jama’ah, Islamic lectures, Islamic CDs and so on. Unfortunately, however, most Hajis bring with them radios for their friends and relatives by which they, most of the time, listen to music; gaining sins upon sins upon sins, not only in their Book of Deeds but also in the Book of Deeds of the one who initially gave it to them. This same ruling applies to those people who bring gold rings and/or chains or any other jewellery item for men to wear. This is because it is unlawful (Haram) for males to wear any kind of jewellery (whether it comes from the two Holy Sanctuaries or any other place) made out of any metal whatsoever, except for one silver ring which has to have one stone, and which does not weight more than 4.23 grams.

Allah Most High states:

“and help one another in (matters of) virtue and piety and do not mutually cooperatw in what is sinful and wicked…” [Surah al-Ma’idah, Verse 2]

12. A person who performed Hajj with pure Halal money (which was gained from Halal means), had a sincere intention (to perform Hajj solely for seeking the pleasure of Allah and His Beloved Messenger), did not fight, quarrel or argue in it, protected himself from all disobedincies and sins, and thereafter passed away (after having performed Hajj), but did not have the time to fulfil all of the Rights of Allah (Huququllah) or the Rights of His slaves (Huququl Ibaad), then in the situation of his/her Hajj being accepted, there is a high hope that Allah Ta’ala forgives all of His rights and through His mercy He shall forgive the rights of His slaves. There is also hope that on the Day of Resurrection Allah shall please all those whose right was upon the shoulders of this person, and protect this slave of His from contention as regards to the rights being unfulfilled. 13. If a person stayed alive after having performed Hajj, and then as much as his/her capability, tried to fulfil the rights of Allah and the rights of His slaves; such as paying the Zakat which he/she did not pay for years that preceded; or performed the Qaza of prayers that were missed; or the fasts that had not been kept; or fulfilled the rights of those who owned that right by repaying the owner of the right or his/her next of kin, asked for forgiveness from the person to whom he/she had caused problems or had troubled; those who passed away before their rights were fulfilled, then he/she gave charity on behalf of them ; if anything remained unfulfilled from the rights of Allah and His slaves, then he did a wasiyyah (leave by will) near the time of death that the rights be fulfilled by taking that share from his/her own wealth and then giving it to the owner of the right. Conclusively, he/she tried their best to fulfil all the rights that were left unaccomplished, then there is even a greater hope for the forgiveness of such people. [A’jab al-Imdad]

14. Yes however, if one was neglectful in fulfilling these rights after having performed Hajj, and hence, he/she did not fulfill these rights then all these sins shall start to be written in his/her Book of Deeds. This is because prior to performing Hajj, the rights of Allah and His slaves still remained on his/her responsibility to fulfill, but they delayed in fulfilling these rights and on top of this, they neglected these rights even after performing Hajj. Thus, the Hajj performed will not be sufficient to eliminate these rights that have remained on his/her responsibility. This is because, yes, Hajj does remove the sins of not performing salaah and keeping fasts in their prescribed times. However, Hajj deos not eliminate the obligation of performing the qaza of the prayers that have been missed; or keeping fasts that have been missed.

15. A sign of a person’s Hajj being accepted is that the Haji becomes more ‘religious’ after Hajj than was before. [A’jab al-Imdad]

16. Nowadays, many people have become heedless of fulfilling the rights of Allah and His slaves for many years; such as they have not performed the Qaza for their missed prayers; or not kept the fasts that they had broken or not kept; or not payed the Zakat for their previous years. This is why we see them killing one another; seizing each others property; stealing other peoples wealth; causing problems and giving distress to others. it is great misunderstanding for such people to think that after having performed Hajj all of their sins have been eradicated. If the Rights of Allah and the Rights of His slaves have been left unfulfilled, even after having performed Hajj, then they have to be accomplished as soon as possible.

We ask Almighty Allah that He gives us the tawfiq and guidance to fulfil His rights and those of His slaves... Aameen!!

Islam mai 5-araqan mai se ek rukn haj bhi hai. Namaz roze ki taraha ye bhi farz hai lekin sab par nahi shirf unhi mardu aur aurto par jinhe allah ne maal aur dawlat se navaza. Ayese logo ko zindagi mai ek baar haj karna farz hai. Agar allah ne aapko dawlat ata ki hai, aap tandrusht hai to apn aya farz jald ada karle kyonki jitni hi deer karege utne hi gunahagaar hoge.

Haj bhi ek ibadad hai. Ibadat mai khulush aur lagan jarori hai. Dikhawe ki ibadat kisi kaam ki nahi. Qaba sharif ka tawaf, safa-marwa ki sai, haram sharif main namaze padhna, hajr-e-aswad ko bosa dena, Arafat ke mayedan ki ibadate, meena ke mayedan mai qurbani , muzdlefa mai kayam, madina sharif ki hazri wagayera jayesi ibadate waha jaye bina nahi ho shakti. Ibadato ki barkat se haji gunaho se paak ho jata hai. Hadith sharif mai hai- jo adimi is sawdhani ke sath haj kare ki koi galat, behuda kaam, ladayi-jhagda na kare to allah paak use gunaho ayesa paak kar deta hai ki jayese waha payedayish ke waqt thha.

Qaba sharif mai ebadat sa sawab ek lakh guna jayeda milta hai. Haj ke is Mubarak safarr ke dawran hi madin sharif pahuch kar darbare rasul mai salam pesh karne ki sa-adat nashib hoti hai. Haj ke is Mubarak safar mai madina sharif ki hazri bahut jarori hai. Hamre rahemat wale aka farmate hai- jo haj ke liye aya aur meri mulakat ko na aya, usne mujhe par zulm kiya. Jara sochey- koun apne pyare rasul ko taklif pahuchane ki bhul kar shakta hai. Jisne rusal ko taklif de usne allah ko taklif de. Allah ko taklif ko taklif dene wale ka kya anjam hoga?? Gawr kare.

Waise to har musalman ko roaz, namaz ka paband hona jarori hai lekin haji ke liye behat jarori hai kyon ki unka martaba kawm mai bahut bulan hai aur logo ki nazaro mai kabil-e-ehetaram ho jata hai. Log unki izzat karte hai. Haji agar haj se wapas ane ke baad deen ki pabandi na kare to dusre logo par uska galat asar padta hai. Haj aur deen ki ahemiyat khatm ho jati hai. Log haji ko bura-bhala kahete hai to deen ki tawheen hoti hai.

Aajkal haj par jane wale haji sahebaan aur ghar wale is Mubarak safar ki tayyari ke waqt is safar ki azmat ka dhayen nahi rakhte. Gayer jarori dhum-dham, behuda kharch aur dikhawa par jayeda zoor diya jata hai. Haji shahab ko bhejne aur lane mai hazaro rupaye kharch ho jate hai. Allah paak ko fizul kharchi , dikhawa aur shoharat pasand nahi hai. Lekin afsush ki ham apni pasand ke agee allah aur rasul ki pasand ka kahayal nahi rakhte. Yahi wajah hai ki ham is safar ki ruhani barkato sse mahefuz hi rahe jate hai. Allah apko haj ki tawfik de to fizul kharchi wa dikhawe se bachhey aur haj ki azmat bakarar rakhne ki tawfik ata farmaye. Ameen!!!

1. Rishtedaar se achchha bartaw karne se maal aur umar mai barkat hoti hai. Adimi buri maut se bach jata hai, musibat tal jati hai, khushhali ati hai, gunaha maaf hote hai, nekiya qubul hoti hai.

2. Apna nasb-nama yaad rakhkho taki apni khandaan walo ke sath shila-rahemi (achchha bartaw) karne mai asani ho.

3. Jo adimi sadka-khayrat karta hai, rishtedaro se achchha bartaw karta hai allah paak usski umar mai barkat ata farmata hai. Aur uski mushibate dur farmata hai.

4. Bagawat karna aur rishte todna bahut bada gunaha hai. Uski saza duniya mai bhi milti hai aur akhirat mai bhi milti hai.

5. Hazrat ma-aaz bin jabal raziallaho anho ka bayan hai – ek din allah ke rasul ne farmaya – jisne dil se is baat ki gawahi di ki allah ke alawa koi mabud nahi aur mohammed allah ke rasul hai, allah us par duzakh ki aag haram farmadega. Unho ne arz kiya-ya rasul allah! To fir yah khukhkhabri mai logo ko suna du? Aapne farmaya-Maa.aaz! agar tum logo ko yah baat bata doge to wah issi par bharosa kar lege. (aur nek amal karne aur gunha se bachne ki parwa nahi karege)

6. Padoshiyon ke sath shila –rahemi (achchha bartaw) karne se umar mai barkat aur ghar mai khushhali raheti hai.

7. Tumhara jo rishtedaar tum se rishta tode tum use jodne ki koshish karo.

8. Apne maa-baap ko razi rakhkho, allah tum se razi rahega.

9. Maa-baap aur rishtedaar se achchha bartaw karne se gunaha maaf hote hai.

10. Jo adimi apne walid ke intiqaal ke baat bhi use achchha bartaw karna chahata hai to use chahiye ki apne walid ke dosto ke sath achchha bartaw kare.

11. Jo bado ki izzat aur chhoto se pyar na kare wah hamara nahi.

12. Rishtedariyan todne wala jannat main a ja sakega.

* On the first night of the Month of Shawwal ul Mukaram (Chaand Raat)..

One should read 4 Rakaah Salaat with 2 salaams after Ishaa Salaat. In each Rakaah after Suraah Fatiha one should recite 21 times Suraah Ikhlass.

Benefit: One who read these Nawafil Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'ala will open the doors of Jannah for him/her and close the doors of Dozakh/Hell for him/her. InshaAllah Azzawajal.

The Holy Prophet Hazrath Mouhammad Mustafa Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Has stated that the person who ricites.

SUBHAA NALLAHI WA BI HAMDIHI

300 Times On The Day Of Eid and then sends the reward of that to all 300 Times On The Day Of Eid and then sends the reward of that to all Then 1000 rays of light will enter each Muslime gave.

And when the reciter dies, ALLAH TA’ALA will send 1000 rays of light into his grave.

(Mukashifa - tul - Quloob)

The day of eid for me will be that day when successfully leave this world with Imaan.

Note: this one is not just for Eid ul Fitr but also for Eid ul Adha.

* Ibadaah on the Day of Eid after Zoharr Salaat

On the First day of Shuwallul Mukarram (the day of Eid ul Fitr), one should read 8 Rakaah Salaat with 4 salaams after Zoharr Salaat. In each Rakaah after Suraah Fatiha one should recite 25 times Suraah Ikhlass.. after Salaam one should have to read respectively:

70 times Subhan Allah

70 times Astaghfaar

70 times this Durood Shareef:

Allah humma Sallay Aala Muhammadin Nabiyil Ummiyi Wa Alaa Aalyhi Wa Ashabihi Wa Baarik Wassalim.

Benefit: Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'ala will surely grant his/her 70 Hajaats(Desires) in this world and 70 in hereafter.. and will open for him/her countless doors of Blessings and mercy, InshaAllah Azzawajal.

4. Iss Etakaaf Mein Bhi Rozah Shart Hai Magar Wahi Ramzaan Ke Roze Kaafi Hai.

3) Etakaaf-e-Mustahab

Etakaafe Wajib Aur Etakaafe Sunnat-e -Mu-akkida Ke Alaawa Jo Etakaaf Kiya Jaaye Wo Mustahab Hai. Etakaafe Mustahab Ke Liye Rozah Shart Nahin, Ye Thodi Der Ka Bhi ho Sakta Hai Masjid Mein Jab Jab Jaaye Iss Etakaaf Ki Niyyat Kar Le Chaahe Thodi Hi Der Masjid Mein Rehkar Chala Aaye Jab Masjid Ke Bahaar Aa Jaayega Etakaaf Khatm Ho Jaayega Aur Uski Niyyat Ye Hai.

Urdu Mein Iss Tarah Kahein Maine- Allah Ke Waaste Etakaaf-e-Mustahab Ki Niyyat Ki.

1. Mard ke Etakaaf ke liye masjid zaroori hai.

3. Aurat apne ghar ki Uss jagah Mein Etakaaf kare jo jagah Usne namaAz ke liye mukarrar kar rakhi ho.

4. Agar aurat ne namaz ke liye koi jagah mukarrar Nahin Kar rakhi hai to ghar Mein etakaaf Nahin kar sakti , albatta agar iss waqt yaani jab ke etakaaf ka irada kiya kisi jagah ko namaaz ke liye khaas karliya to Uss jagah etAkaaf kar sakti hai.

5. Aurat ke liye ye mustahab hai k ghar Mein namaaz padhne ke liye koi jagah mukarrar karle aur Use paak aur saaf rakhe .

6. mutakIf (Etakaaf karne wala) ko masjid se bagair uzr nikalna haram hai agar nikla to Etakaaf toot jaayega, chaahe bhool kar hi nikla ho jab bhi.

7. Aurat agar apne Etakaaf ki jagah se nikli to Etakaaf jaata raha ,chaahe ghar hi Mein rahe.

8. mutakif (Etakaaf karne wala) masjid hi Mein khaaye peeye soye in Umoor ke liye masjid se bahaar hoga to Etakaaf jaata rahega, magar khaane peene Mein yeh Ehtiyaat lazim hai k masjid aaluda na ho.

9. Mutakif ke siwa aur kisi ko masjid Mein khaane peene sone ki ijaazat Nahin aur agar yeh kaam karna chaahe to Etakaaf ki Niyyat karke, masjid Mein jaayen aur namaaz padhen ya zikr-e-ilahi kare phir yeh kaam kar sakta hai.

10. Mutakif na chup rahe na baat kare balki quran-e-majid ki tilawat hadees ki Qeerat aur durood sharif ki kasrat kare, ambiya wa auliya wa saaleheen ke haalaat padhe.

11. Etakaaf jis wajah se bhi toote Qasdan ya bila Qasd beHerhaal qaza wajib hai.

12. sunnat-e-muakkida Etakaaf agar todha to jis din todha faqat Uss ek (1) din ki qaza hai poore das (10) dinon ki qaza wajib Nahin.

13. agar nafl Etakaaf todh De to iski qaza Nahin

The Blessed Month of Ramadan al-Kareem!!

1. Hadrat Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger of Allah has said, “When Ramadan begins, the doors of heaven are opened.” A version has, “the doors of Paradise are opened and the doors of Hell are closed, and the Satans are tied with chains.” Another version has, “the doors of Mercy are opened.” [Sahih al-Bukhari Vol 1, Page 255 and Sahih al-Muslim, Vol 1, Page 346]

Hadrat Shaykh ‘Abd al-Haq Muhaddith-e-Dehlwi comments:

The meaning of the “Doors of heaven” being opened is the continous descending of mercy, and the ascension of good deeds to the Court of the Almighty without any obstacle (preventing it from ascending). It also means the acceptance of (permissible) supplications. The meaning of the “doors of Paradise” being opened is being encouraged and granted the ability to perform good deeds, and the acceptance of these good deeds. The meaning of the “doors of Hell” being closed is the protection of the souls of those who fast, from things which have been forbidden by the Islamic Law, and rescue from the things which provoke a person on doing bad deeds. It also means to break the desire which the heart has of things of lust. The meaning of Satan being tied with chains is the sealing off of all the ways by which evil whispers enter the mind. 2. Hadrat Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger of Allah has said, “Whoever fasts during Ramadan with faith and seeking his reward (from Allah) all his past sins will be forgiven. Whoever prays during the night in Ramadan with faith seeking his reward (from Allah) all his past sins will be forgiven. And whoever passes Lailat-ul-Qadr in prayer with faith and seeking his reward (from Allah the Most Exalted) all his past sins will be forgiven.” [Sahih al-Bukhari Vol 1, Page 255 and Sahih al-Muslim, Vol 1, Page 259]

3. Hadrat Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger of Allah has said, “When the first night of Ramadan comes, the satans and the rebellious Jinn are chained, the doors of hell are closed and not one of them is opened (during the entire the month of Ramadan); the doors of Paradise are opened and not on of them is closed (the entire month of Ramadan); and a crier calls, ‘Those who desire what is good, come forward, and those who desire evil refrain from it’, and many people are freed from Hell by Allah, and that happens every night.” [Tirmidhi, Vol 1, Page 153 and Ibn Maajah, Vol 1, Page 118]

4. Hadrat Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger of Allah has said, “Ramadan, a blessed month, has come to you during which Allah the Most High has made it obligatory for you to fast. In it the doors of Heaven are opened, the doors of Hell are closed, and the rebellious satans are chained. In it there is a night (worshipping in it) which is better than (worshipping for) a thousand months. Whoever is deprived of its good (and blessing) has indeed been deprived of all good.” [Nasa’i, Vol 1, Page 299 and Mishkat, Vol 1, Page 173]

5. Hadrat Salman al-Farisi reported that on the last day of Sha’ban the Messenger of Allah delivered a sermon. He said, “O people, a great month, a blessed month, a month wherein there is a night which is better than a thousand months has come to you. Allah has made the observance of fasting during it as obligatory, and the standing (in prayer) in its nights as voluntary. Whoever draws near to Allah during it with some good (voluntary, optional) act he is like the one who fulfils an obligatory duty in another month, and whoever fulfils an obligatory duty in it is like the one who fulfils seventy obligatory duties in another month. [Mishkat, Page 173]

It is the month of endurance and the reward of endurance is Paradise. It is the month of sharing with others, and a month in which the believer’s provision is increased. Whoever gives one who has been fasting something with which to break his fast it shall result in the forgiveness of his sins and it shall save him from Hell, and he will have a reward equal to his without his reward being diminished in any respect.”

We said, “O Messenger of Allah, no one from among us has the means to give one who is fasting something with which to break his fast. He said, “Allah gives this reward to him who gives one who is fasting some milk, or a date, or a drink of water with which to break his fast; and whoever gives a full meal to one who is fasting Allah will give him the drink from my Pond (fountain – Kauthar) and he will not feel the thirst till he enters Paradise.It is a month whose beginning is Mercy, whose middle is Forgiveness, and whose end is Freedom from Hell. Whoever makes things easy for his slave during it, Allah will forgive him and free him from Hell.”

6. Hadrat Abu Hurairah reported that the Holy Prophet has said, “My Ummah is granted forgiveness in the last night of Ramadan. It was asked, “O Messenger of Allah, is it Lailatul Qadr?” He said, “No, but a workman (slave of Allah) is paid wages in full when he finishes work.” [Musnad Imam Ahmad, Vol 2, Page 567]

7. Hadrat Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger of Allah has said, “It is not necessary to fast again (do qaza) for a person who naturally vomited. Those who vomit on purpose, then it is necessary on them to fast again.” [Tirmidhi, Vol 1, Page 153 and Sunan Abi Dawud, Vol 1, Page 324]

8. Hadrat Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger of Allah has said, “If one (who is fasting) does not give up falsehood and action according to it, Allah has no need that he should give up his food and his drink.” [Sahih al-Bukhari Vol 1, Page 255]

This means that his fast shall not be accepted, as the main purpose of fast being made obligatory on a Muslim is not that one stays hungry and thirsty; but in fact the main purpose is to break the desire for lust, and to cool the fire of selfishness, so that the soul instead of being inclined towards the desires of lust, it becomes obedient towards the commands of The Almighty. [Ashi’ah al-Lam’at Vol 2 Page 85]

9. Hadrat Salmah ibn Muhabbaq reported that the Messenger of Allah has said, “Whoever has a riding animal (conveyance) which carries him to where he can get sufficient food, he should observe the fast of Ramadan wherever he is, when it comes.” [Sunan Abi Dawud, Vol 1, Page 327]

10. Hadrat Anas ibn Malik al-Ka’bi reported that the Messenger of Allah has said, “Allah has remitted half the prayer to the traveller ; and fasting to the traveller, the woman who is suckling an infant and the woman who is pregnant.” [Tirmidhi, Vol 1, Page 152 and Sunan Abi Dawud, Vol 1, Page 327]

Hadrat Shaykh ‘Abd al-Haq Muhaddith-e-Dehlwi comments:The Islamic Law allowing the omission of fast for the breast-feeding and the pregnant woman is only in the situation when fasting shall harm or damage herself or the child (otherwise there is no permission not to fast). [Ashi’ah al-Lam’ah Vol 2 Page 94]

11. Hadrat Abu Ayyub al-Ansari reported that the Messenger of Allah has said, “Whoever fasts during Ramadan then follows it with six days in Shawwal, it will be like a perpetual fast .” [Sahih al-Muslim, Vol 1, Page 369]

12. Hadrat Abu Qatada reported that the Messenger of Allah has said, “I seek from Allah that fasting on the day of ‘Arafah may atone for the sins of the preceding and the coming year.” (It is disliked for a Haji, who is in the plain of ‘Arafah on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah, to fast on that day (so that he can perform worship and engage himself in the rememberance of Allah to his maximum). [Sahih al-Muslim, Vol 1, Page 367]

13. Hadrat Hafsah reported, “There were four things which the Holy Prophet never omitted: fasting on ‘Ashurah (10th of Muharram), the first nine days of Dhul-Hijjah and three days (13th, 14th and 15th) every (Islamic) month and praying two rak’ats before the Fard prayers of Fajr.” [Nasa’i, Vol 1, Page 328]

14. Hadrat Abu Dhar reported that the Messenger of Allah has said, “O Abu Dhar! When you intend to fast three days in a month, fast on the thirteenth, fourteenth and the fifteenth.” [Nasa’i, Vol 1, Page 328 and Tirmidhi, Vol 1, Page 159]

Important Notes:

1. It is Makruh-e-Tehrimi (strongly disliked) and not permissible to fast on the 1st of Shawwal and the 10th, 11th, 12th or the 13th of Dhul Hijjah. [al-Tahtawi Page 387, Radd al-Muhtar Vol 2 Page 86]

2. A person who woke up in the state that Ghusl was wajib upon him due to ihtilam (nocturnal emission) or after having intercourse, and stay in that state for the whole duration of the day, then he/she is very sinful due to missing the prayers, but the fast kept shall have to be kept (as fast does not break due being in a defiled state). [al-Bahr al-Ra’iq Vol 2 Page 273, and Fatawa-e-‘Alamgiri – Vol 1, Page 187]

3. If an ill person has a strong chance that his/her illness shall increase or shall heal after a long period of time or a healthy person has the chances of becoming ill, then these persons are allowed to break their fast.

4. There are 3 conditions needed in order to establish a strong estimation of something happening:

a) There are visible signs present.

b) The person has their own experience.

c) A Sunni Muslim doctor who is an expert in the field and who is Mastur-ul-Hal (not a fasiq) has informed the patient of this.

5. If there are no visible signs, nor is there any experience nor has he/she been informed by a Sunni Muslim expert doctor; but rather on the informing of a Non-muslim, a fasiq, a misguided doctor or a physicist, the person broke his fast, then they are obliged to give a kaffara (atonement) for it. [Radd al-Muhtar Vol 2 Page 120 and Bahar-e-Shari’at]

6. A person who purposely eats in front of people, then the Islamic Sultan (ruler) should kill him.

7. It is not permissible for people other than the Mu’takif to break their fast (do iftari), eat or drink in the Masjid.Hence, all those besides the mu’takif, who want to eat, drink or break their fast in the Masjid should make the intention of I’itikaf, then enter the Masjid. Now, after performing some dhikr and having recited Durud, one is permitted to eat and drink. However, even in this situation, it is necessary to take into consideration the cleanliness of the mosque. We see many people who disrespect the mosque; making it unclean by eating and drinking in it. This is strictly forbidden and Haram. People who have responsibilities and have authority should pay attention to this and prevent such disrespect to the mosque.
