Very good TV, good for sports (tennis), relatively inexpensive

I have this TV because it has characteristics that are most commonly found on more expensive TVs, and experts there said one very good things. In particular, I wanted the blackout (no edge) LED lighting and ambient sensor (but I ended up turning it off, good), and I did not have to pay more to get thinner than 3 " . I'm happy with the image. A study has suggested that it looks bad when viewed from the side, which is the main reason we went to see him in person before buying. Like any other LCD screen is not as good as a plasma screen - that would not work in our room window full - but I do not think anything is wrong.

Even better, it is doing well with the tennis! We saw the first day of U.S. Open some other HDTV and realized that the fast-moving tennis ball around the court appeared remarkably irregular. We have created this TV until the second day, and is without problems (and with the dejugger / smoothing settings set to low.)

I also like the look of the TV. A peer review called "generic", but I want a TV to fit my house and not vice versa. The matte screen means that does not match, which is very good for the image when turned on and the whole room when turned off (less obvious). Another critic said the name of VIZIO remains orange when in standby / off. This I find most annoying, in principle, in the impact. Still, I am * almost * be tempted to go get some black electrical tape ...

Installation was easy: it connected to your mobile phone without any problem, programming the remote controls was easy, etc 5 HDMI connectors are generous. At this time we are using 2 HDMI (TiVo and equipment), component and RCA (DVD) and RCA audio out. Someday we will replace major components and go to all the HDMI and digital sound, I guess. I hope that the promised software updates that will allow streaming over wireless and / or USB ports!

I have not tried Internet widgets (I do not care), and since we have not got a DVD player, high definition, however, does not know how to output 1080p/24 film. I have not had any problems with odors.

A Great HDTV for a small budget and technical teams and experts in technology, not alike!

This is my first HDTV, but not the first time I've had experience with. I was not sure what to expect from him when connected but I'm not entirely happy with this TV.

My main uses of this TV are:
HD gaming (Xbox 360)
SD Game (Wii, PS2)
and DVD

Usability:
The remote control is easy to read and easy to use. It is much more streamlined than my previous TV remote and easy to get what I want. It is easy to configure the input channels:TV, Video output, ColorStream HD (the channel for the composite hook-ups), HDMI 1, HDMI 2, and PC. You also have the option of 6 display modes that is displayed, which is very useful when switching between game consoles that are HD to one that is a bit more and shows no progressive SD.

Screen Quality and Purity:
The display shows wonderfully, crisp, and clean. The reaction time and the contrast is very good looking at it with eyes more demanding. My HD video games play very well and if I play RPG or a fast-paced FPS game, everything is clear, sharp and without artifacts when the image moves fast. DVD Screen sharply and clearly and I have to squint or play with contrast to do something outside, even in obscure games or movies.
Another great thing about this TV is that you have to move very strange angle, sometimes almost completely, even in the face to face to get a greater loss in vision quality. You do not have to sit through it directly to get the image only good, sometimes I sit on the floor of a front of a few of the TV watching him and remains clear and perfect. So if you have little room like me, this is a big TV.

Sound:
Tinnie is a bit bombastic sound that my previous game but still great without a speaker system added. The volume is very good, and it sounds beautiful to the sounds of my 360. With or without a system of home theater speakers, it sounds fantastic.

In short, this is a great set, doubly so if you're looking to get for your money.
I am a regular viewer of DVD and an inveterate gambler and this is perfectly suited to my needs and my family that like to use it to watch TV.

The only complaint I have with it is that I wish there was a larger component cable hook and a hook over composite cable, but it's fine for what I'm using for now.

entry level decent TV

I have waited to publish a review of a few days to avoid writing something that simply reflects the radiance of converting to SQL Server from a screen of 32 to 42 inches. The beam BF deal was AWESOME fair price. Thanks to Amazon for saving me from queuing in the rain 20 degrees at Target!

The bottom line: while there are some deficiencies in this TV compared to higher-end models, it is a functional assessment of entry level.

Pros:
- Gorgeous color and detail - an immersive experience of 8 feet. well-lit scenes are strong: in my eyes as good as any other screen. The first movie I saw was up to only 720 VGA through my laptop, but it looked almost 3D at times compared to our previous 32-inch Vizio (E320VL). Blu-ray look great as well, no connection problems. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
- The menus are well organized and aesthetically well designed.
- Canal tuner works very well. all I found my old TV, and some more!
- Includes remote control has all the options you want to be there, and is quite forgiving about where to point (30 degree window on both sides of the rectum). separate buttons for each input buttons to mix through audio and video profiles, CC button on the remote control (unlike Vizio where to dig in the menus). Very well designed remote, and I love how thin it is.
- The speakers are as good as any I've heard (not real high quality but functional).
- Many types of inputs.
- Reduces glare matte screen.

Cons:
- As already mentioned, blacks in 1080i high definition via coaxial cable channels (antenna) input is really dark at times. I should note that this does not affect the channels 720 and 480 of the antenna, DVD, HDMI or VGA black levels are fine, if not as dark as higher-end models. I have to play with picture settings to see if I can fix this problem ...

EDIT: I'm much happier with the black levels. I contrast and brightness in the 70's, with the other settings even 50 (sharpness take up to 20 for blurays filmed due to the problems of standard beads). This seems the perfect balance. In addressing the suggestions of others and not see good results, I wonder if each TV can be a little different - certainly the viewer's eyes are. But the good news: the black level problem largely fixed by adjusting the image!

- A little too much red at times through the VGA - I deal with it in the short term by setting color to "Cool." This only happened with a movie once, and I'm not sure why ... may not have the VGA plugged completely.
- Only 2 HDMI inputs may be a scam for some.
- Menus missing some options in high-end models, but enough to play.
- The unit gets very hot - energy consumption is 300W (150 is average for this size in the major brands). But it is only $ 19/yr. more in energy costs if the TV in an average of three hours a day (much more than what we use). Decided that I can live with that.
- The method of connecting the base of not supporting the movement of one side of the monitor a lot - I have to take care of the place when moving square.

Responses to the other cons:
- Like a cheap plastic toy: No extra plastic pieces on the edges of my unit, and is bright, soft, elegant and solid. The only weak spot is the database connection.
- The packaging is poor: With the exception of the case to be a little clearer than others, is full of very safe and well. Not sure what some people are concerned.
- Backlight leakage in the corners of the screen: I turned off all the lights in the room and not see at all ... seems fine to me!

EDIT: Well, I've seen the "escape from corner" now, but have to have all the lights off and shows a completely black screen (see noticed while loans of Jurassic Park) - is weak in the upper corners. In reality, however, do not think it's leaking backlight, and that changing the angle of vision that moves a lot, and even reverse the darkest black. Also there is a gleam of light or clouds distributed randomly across the screen that changes as you move around. It appears that the matte surface of the screen is not completely flat, and in a dark room is shown as a bit of light leakage through the LCD screen and captures the texture matte. Something to keep in mind, but do not affect image quality in nearly all viewing conditions. It is the least visible when viewing the front of the screen.

- Error in remote buttons: Changing channels on the remote control are sensitive. Seems to have a quick scan feature that changes rapidly over 2 channels, then two more if you hold down too long. I do not see this as an error, however, simply does not always hold and problem solved :-)

extra snack: somehow opened the tint control! May have had something to do with unpluggling accidentally while VGA cable television and the computer runs. It's after that I noticed the change. TV still works great in every way. Good news: the default "0" which froze before they are the best anyway - is left there.

For someone with a budget of $ 300 was impressive, although I'm not sure I would buy at a price of $ 449 when you can do much more for only a hundred or two more. I grabbed a 3-year warranty from SquareTrade since this is a brand tested. 40% off with code SLICK. Let's hope it lasts!

Nice TV ... but needed to return to Amazon

This is our non-CRT TV in the first place, so it's a big leap in our 20-inch laptop.
It is well connected to the Internet, and we were up all local channels pretty quickly.

The picture looked a little dark, but I think that was the issue. NetFlix videos were almost perfect.
Our Wii console is connected and works well. We do not have a DVD player connected to it, so I can not speak to the quality of DVD movies (which is in our basement below).

A couple of things:
1. Pandora application:worked only after setting the TV disabled DHCP.
2. The USB port is good for nothing - will not show photos. VIZIO Technical Support (very nice, by the way) indicates that the USB port is not activated for this model, but a firmware update will be "soon." I do not believe them. I think there is something wrong with this game. I'll try to post an update when I hear something.

In general - I can not say much about TV until I lived with it for a while.

Update: After a few days, we realized that, when turned off, the TV made a popping sound. The noice was stopped when the TV was on again.

After talking with Vizio tech support (and passing useless "power cycles," scheduled to visit Vizio warranty service is scheduled for September 30 -. I'll update this post with the verdict.

Updated:
The utility just to the left.
It replaced the power board, but the sound is still there (they say you do not hear after the installation - which is BS).
VIZIO I'll give one more chance to fix the problem and then drive it back to Amazon and I'm getting another brand.

This is really a shame, because the TV works fine otherwise - Internet Applications great work, the image is large.

I'm not saying do not buy this TV - just be aware that this has happened to the unit I purchased.

Updated:
Unfortunately we ended up returning this TV to Amazon. We purchased an identical unit of Wal-Mart, and made the same sound. Based on the fact that two televisions and a replaced power board has not fixed the problem, I concluded that this model will always Visio sound and returned.

We have purchased a non-internet TV (Sony) and a Roku box. This combination works well. The Sony is not as nice as the Vizio, and I have to take a second remote control, but this is a nuisance. We do not see much TV anyway, so it's not a big hassle.

Vizio I would recommend only if you have the opportunity to return the set. I do not think Vizio models all have this problem, but can not be too careful.

Resolution:
For the size of this monitor, I think 1600 * 900 is the ideal size otherwise the text size (1920 * 1080) appear too small.

Compared to 2009m:
2009m is the 2009 model. Not energy star qualified. is glossy. 100x100 is not mounting. For $ 20 more, I'd go for 2010i.

Compared to 2210m:
The 21.5 '2210m is 1920 * 1080 Full HD with HDMI input and the screen is brilliant. First, 2210m is a large monitor if you like screen brightness and size are used for relatively small source. However, if I have extra money and if I like the bright screen, I prefer a larger screen, as 2310m or 2509m from the size of the font is too small for me at 2210m in 2010i.

Compared with ViewSonic VX2250WM 22-inch LED-
I was also able to compare it with ViewSonic VX2250WM-LED. I made a dual use facility and HP S2031 HP 2010i. I have the HP S2031 HP to get a great discount. The HP 2010i has a better overall build quality than HP S2031. The viewing experience on two monitors are quite similar, except that the text character in HP S2031 has a faint green tinge. For less than $ 100, I would go for HP S2031.

Character size:
The font size appears larger on the monitor that the 2333SW Samsung 23 "(1920 * 1080) monitor and, in 2210m. You might as well if your eyesight is not as good as before. About HP consumer monitor 2 *** Model:

They have been doing research on the monitor of CV for a while. I went to Costco to also check. Personally, I prefer the "i" version of the 'm', and they do not like the glossy finish. Even with anti-glare, I still see things or I mean on the screen. I feel eye strain as well (most important). I would have liked a larger screen model. Unfortunately, they do not have the appropriate 2310i, 2510i, 2710i in the U.S. (Only available in the UK). They have the 2310m, 2509m, 2710m, in the U.S. but are shiny finish. The only drawback with the i version is no HDMI input.

Poor first review
For USAFDDS
The price seemed too good to be true when I ordered it, and indeed it was. The screw holes to secure the support of the TV were drilled in the back, but the female parts, metal machining are not installed, so no media could be attached. I tried contacting support and had no idea what they were talking. It is a company that hire out without iSymphony. Anyway, I had to go to a auto parts store trying to buy new screws, because they said I needed bigger and they were not authorized to send to me. The new screws about 4 times too large, and there is no way I was going to work.

It connected without the support anyway to see if I opt for a replacement, return vs. For the price, the picture looks very impressive, however, this TV has a green dot / dead pixel on the left side. Hopefully, this TV is only bad. Since the image is so nice, I decided to try to replace it.

Ah another thing I'm noticing. Neither of speaker audio output, so can be difficult without external cables break or be creative otherwise.

Will update this review when I see how the replacement will experience.

UPDATE: Amazon is telling me to not be able to get a free replacement, but do not know why. The customer service representative was very helpful, but he could not understand why he could not get into the process. He said he has three people working on it. :)

Me in the original TV-nighter, but now who knows if or when I can get another.

Very good customer service from Amazon is awesome! Amazon finally gets 5 stars from me! The man finally found and sent me to another TV tomorrow! But ... of course, support is not reconnected. No green dot on this occasion, so it's time to find some screws that hold the bracket.
