Today I’m really excited to share with you the invitation suite of Amy and Forrest. Amy designed the entire package herself, using these really fun hand-cut paper letters as a centerpiece. All of the playful details were really well thought out and carried through every single item, from the invitations to the programs. And their personalities clearly come through. How adorable is the photo of the couple included in their Save the Date?

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that the whole Alice and Wonderland thing has been overdone this year. Believe me I love Alice. But I don’t know how many more Wonderland-themed photo shoots I can handle seeing. However, hello naomi’s interpretation may be one exception. Her take on the concept is still whimsical, but it’s also clean, sleek and modern.

Just a quick post to let you know about a few recent news items:

First things first. I figured it was about time for us to have our own, separate Twitter page. I’m still in the process of getting the page set up, but you can now follow us here.

We are honored that one of our Save the Dates has recently been featured in a Brides.com slideshow. (We’re still working on the site, which is taking longer than planned since the wedding and now with all of the client projects that we are juggling. I’ll be sure to keep you posted on the progress though.)

We got a couple of lovely write-ups from Megan over at the HOW blog and at Invitation Crush. Thanks so much!

Emmy Fashion Inspiration

I very rarely watch the Emmys—which is surprising because I watch far too much TV—but when I do I’m not usually thrilled by the men’s fashions. As someone who rarely wears black and white, the tux—although it looks great on pretty much everyone—was just never my thing. This year though, I was impressed by the little bits of creativity I saw here and there.

I LOVED Ryan Murphy’s outfit (top left), it was easily my favorite. And it’s great to see a little color in the bowties. I’m not sure why more men don’t do this—if you have to wear all black and white, it seems like the perfect place for a pop of color.

I’m absolutely loving these illustrative invitations by Lydia Nichols. Not only are the illustrations great, but I haven’t seen slim-jim-sized invitations very often, and it’s nice that everything fits together in such a well-organized package. I always like to try to make invitation suites fit into some sort of container, so that guests don’t have to deal with multiple sheets of loose paper with nowhere to keep it. So this is a great solution.

Jason Groupp Videos

After the fact, a videographer is the one thing that I wish could have fit into our budget but couldn’t. I would love to be able to relive the events of the day over and over and view them from a different perspective; which is why I’m loving these videos from Jason Groupp Photography. Most of their videos are what they call “fusion”, as they blend bits of video, audio, and photographs together to produce the final product. You can check their entire library right here on Vimeo, but here’s are a select few I particularly enjoyed:
