    <title>Perception - It&apos;s All in the Mind!</title>

            <description>&lt;p&gt;Do you think your&amp;nbsp;life is&amp;nbsp;good or bad or something inbetween? Well, you are right! However you perceive yourself and the people,&amp;nbsp;things&amp;nbsp;or events in your life, that is exactly the way they will be. Your experiences in your life, especially your early life,&amp;nbsp;set up belief filters that cause you to see and subconsciously categorize everything according to the thought/belief you attached to previous experiences of similar things in your life. &lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;We all have different perceptions/belief filters according to our personal experiences.&amp;nbsp;For instance, some clients I see have had a series of, to my mind, horrendous life experiences, yet are basically still positive people getting on with life, whereas other clients get stuck in one relatively minor experience that they perceive as all-consuming. &lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;Try this simple perception exercise: &lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;1. Hold the belief that &amp;quot;RED is the most popular colour for cars&amp;quot; and you will see RED cars everywhere.&lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;2. Now shift that belief to &amp;quot;SILVER is the most popular colour for cars&amp;quot; and, guess what, you will see mainly&amp;nbsp;SILVER cars. Now where did all those RED cars go? What you give your focus to is what you perceive.&lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;If you were made to feel unworthy as a child, your belief system automatically reinforces that you are unworthy, until it becomes your perception, causing you to attract into your life people who also reinforce that you are unworthy. So does that mean you have a life sentence of being unworthy? No! As soon as the underlying belief system/filter is changed at the subconscious level to something positive&amp;nbsp;you are freed up to become the deserving and worthwhile person you really are. Hence Mindset is so critically important in changing your beliefs. &lt;em&gt;Tools like Hypnotherapy are brilliant for effecting Mindset changes.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;Have you ever taken an instant dislike to someone and perceived them as having major undesirable personality traits? Well I must confess, occasionally I have, like a woman I see each few weeks when I am visiting a friend. In fact, honestly I couldn&apos;t stand her! Ever heard that concept about people around us mirroring what we most need to look at in ourselves, often termed our shadow self? Although I hadn&apos;t wanted to admit it, I knew I must have a shadow part that was in some way like that woman. The crunch came a couple of days ago when I&amp;nbsp;saw that woman&amp;nbsp; wearing almost identical clothes to mine. Ouch! What did I perceive in her that I subconsciously disliked in myself? Anyway it forced me to acknowledge that part of me like her that needed healing and acceptance. Funny now, when I think of her I don&apos;t feel any emotional charge at all - just neutral. My perception of her has changed completely. Are there any people in your life you dislike? Find that part of yourself like them and work on acknowledging, accepting&amp;nbsp; and healing it.&lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;My perception of my&amp;nbsp;teenage daughter&amp;nbsp;until recently has been&amp;nbsp;that she &apos;sheds mess&apos; wherever she goes, which has often left me feeling frustrated.&amp;nbsp;However, recently that was all put into perspective and my perception changed totally in an instant. Unexpectedly she spent all her money&amp;nbsp;on a present for me that she knew I would love and my frustration gave&amp;nbsp;was to all-consuming gratitude and love. My perception of her changed in a ninstant to her being so loving and caring, rather than my previous perception of her being so messy. She was still the same child, only my perception of her changed. Interestingly, I was so overcome with joy,&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;I just wanted to give her something back in gratitude, making her even more loving, so reinforcing this new positive perception of her as loving and kind.&lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;Your perception of everything in your life is coloured by the belief systems that were set in place earlier in your life. Often in order to move out of any limiting perceptions caused by limiting beliefs, you must make a conscious decision to shift your mindset at a subconscious level, often with professional help. Of course, as in the example with my daughter, if the facts are suddenly so out of line with your perception, then it can cause a spontaneous mindset shift and previous beliefs either dissolve or seem unimportant..&lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;If you have been living your life with belief systems that are based on negative childhood programming, such as &amp;quot;I&apos;m not good enough&amp;quot;, &amp;quot;Life is a struggle&amp;quot;, &amp;quot;I can&apos;t trust anyone&amp;quot;, etc, etc, isn&apos;t is time to take action to shift your mindset to perceive&amp;nbsp;far greater self-worth and the beauty existing in your life?&lt;/p&gt;

  &lt;p&gt;Once you establish a regular pattern of meditation, even if it is only for ten minutes a day, you will soon find you look forward to it and really enjoy those special still periods as a treat for yourself and an opportunity to switch off from the daily rush.&lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;The following is a really simple technique for daily meditation that is useful for complete novices or experienced meditators alike. Try it for a few days and let me know your experiences.&lt;/p&gt;

The idea is that every time you touch it, you feel gratitude. If at all possible, you express that gratitude to others.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Your mind will become geared towards thinking in terms of what you are thankful for. This will allow the Law of Attraction to do its work.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Your mind controls who and what you are. According to the Law of Attraction, it can also change what you have.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This may be material possessions, relationships, or health.     <title>Healing The Inner Child</title>

            <description>&lt;div align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Even though our conscious mind knows we should not behave or react in a certain way to certain people or situations, we often do it anyway! We know we shouldn&apos;t turn red in the face and sweat when we have to talk to our boss, we know we shouldn&apos;t procrastinate getting our assignment done and we know we shouldn&apos;t keep attracting the same kind of inappropriate partners, but we don&apos;t seem to have any control over our actions. The truth is that in these examples it is not the adult self running the show, but a number of our wounded child selves that keep replaying the same programming set into the subconscious mind at the time of the original traumatic event. For instance, the person who gets extremely nervous around &amp;quot;authority&amp;quot; figures is often just replaying how they acted in front of their school teacher; the procrastinator will often be scared to start something from childhood fear of his effort being ridiculed by teachers or students; and the person who keeps attracting the wrong kind of partner may have a child part still desperately seeking a good relationship with the opposite sex parent who shares similarities with the unsuitable partners.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Each of us has many wounded inner child parts of different ages that still continue to run our behaviours and beliefs, even as adults. Commonly when these inner child parts are accessed during hypnotic regression they are fearful, angry, sad or feel abandoned. Without hypnosis you will probably also be able to recall clear memories from your childhood when you felt afraid, sad, alone, angry or other negative emotions. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In order to resolve these hurting inner child parts you need to help them take back their power from any &amp;quot;persecutor&amp;quot; figures and/or to find love. This can be done in a number of ways. Try to vividly imagine/revivify the traumatic scene with your traumatised child part and bring into the scene your adult self for comfort and strength.&amp;nbsp; (Obviously if the trauma has been extreme, such as childhood sexual abuse, do not try to do this on your own, but seek professional help.) Get the adult self to cuddle and talk to the child part and tell her that she knows her better than anyone else and loves her completely. Feel that child part starting to relax a little as she feels safer. Allow the child part to draw upon the adult strengths and resources of the adult part until she is empowered enough to confront her &amp;quot;persecutor&amp;quot;, if there is one. The child part should then tell the persecuting person, often a parent or teacher, how his actions or words have made the child feel and how much it has hurt her. Often the &amp;quot;persecutor&amp;quot; will not realize the harm he has caused and will readily apologise, otherwise get the child to demand an apology and settle for nothing less. If the child part accepts the apology, get the child to reinforce to the persecutor that he must never treat her that way again and order the persecutor to leave or imagine shrinking that person down to the size of an ant, so there is no longer any threat.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;With the danger now gone, allow the adult self and the inner child part to give each other a really big hug and feel the unconditional love flowing heart to heart, then allow the child part to flow into the heart of the adult where she is free to be a happy, carefree child. Ask the inner child part, now safely nestled in the adult heart, if there is anything else she still needs in order to feel safe, loved and protected. If anything else is required, call upon an adult part within (ego state) displaying those qualities that would be happy to support the child part from this point forwards. Usually there will be ego states like Nurturer, Courage, Strength and Protector that are happy to assist. Keep checking back with the inner child part until she doesn&apos;t require anything else to feel safe, loved and happy and therefore she can release her previous behaviour pattern that had been adversely affecting the adult. You will feel a warm glow in your heart from the contented child. Remember to talk to your inner child often and reassure her of just how much you love her and how she need never try and protect you again. From this point onwards you are here to protect her and she is free to be a carefree child.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Often your collection of inner children just need to get out and play and have fun and be joyous. How often have you resented having to go to work on a beautiful sunny day or needing to get the housework done when you would much rather be out having some laughs with friends? Does that swing in the playground you are driving past look really tempting? Often we just get so caught up in the busy-ness of our adult lives that we suffer from &amp;quot;deferred happiness syndrome&amp;quot; when we put all our &amp;quot;should do&apos;s&amp;quot; on the top of our priority list and we keep putting off the fun things to some point in the future that we never quite get to. Stop! What fun thing are you going to do within the next 6 hours today? Make sure this fun thing becomes your number one priority!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Our inner child parts tend to yell at us in frustration, sadness, loneliness or depression when we constantly ignore their needs to be let out for playtime on a daily basis. Is it any wonder so many busy adults feel so stressed, burnt-out and depressed when they do not factor regular playtime into their lives? Make sure you are not one of them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I had an interesting Stop Smoking client that even after a couple of hypnotherapy sessions with me could not give up those last few cigarettes. We isolated the problem part, an inner child part that wanted to play and was using the remnant smoking behaviour to get my client&apos;s attention! As soon as the client reassured her inner child she would make a point of playing more with her in certain ways they both agreed upon, my client stopped smoking completely without any further thoughts or cravings for cigarettes! Of course, if you are already an experienced healer, the benefits will be even greater.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Benefits:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Deep relaxation providing healing on all levels, leaving an enduring sense of calm and refreshment;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Release of old emotional baggage;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;More energy;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Being able to deal more effectively and objectively with mental, emotional and physical issues; &amp;amp;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Significant relief of both chronic and acute pain&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;Have the intention to connect with the universal energy via your crown chakra. Focus and draw in this energy down through the body and hands. You may perceive this as white light or some other colour or as a tingling or warm sensation. Ideally energy self-treatments should be done in a quiet, relaxing space where you will not be disturbed. Always have the intention the healing will be for your highest good, as it is not up to you to guess what the highest good is. Higher forces decide this.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You may also like to include relaxation music, guided visualization, crystals, aromatherapy oils or essences to accentuate the experience of healing. Allow yourself to be creative and find out what works best for you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sensations you may experience during an energy self-treatment include feelings of warmth in those areas drawing the most energy, tingling waves through the body as blocks are released and tummy gurgles as stress is released from the mid-section. Many people also report seeing brilliant colours lit with an inner radiance, most notably violet, green, pink, blue and yellow, while others may have old painful memories released from deep in the subconscious mind as those memories are being resolved. Other people don&apos;t consciously experience anything, but are just peacefully relaxed. Each self-treatment is different. Enter into it without expectation and just enjoy the journey. It is natural as you are starting out with energy healing to have issues around trust and confidence that you are actually doing something, but just do it anyway!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Under no circumstances allow yourself to be swayed by people saying they have learnt Reiki, Sekhem, Seichim, etc, etc (so have I!) and therefore they view their energy channeling abilities as somehow superior to yours. Unfortunately there is a lot of ego in so-called spiritual circles. Everyone is capable of making their own personal connection to universal energy without initiations or symbols. After all it was a natural skill for all of us as children. We just need to remember.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The more you practice self-healing, in any form, the quicker you will peel away the old heavy emotional and mental baggage, allowing your vibration to raise to greater joy in your life. Even if energy self-treatments seem difficult for you at first, persist until they become an easy, regular and most of all, enjoyable part of your life. The more regular your practice, the more your channels open and the greater the amount of energy you can access becomes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;SENDING HEALING TO TRAUMATIC PAST EVENTS - known and unknown&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Classic unresolved traumatic events for many people include a relationship breakup, the first day at school, being humiliated in front of the class, being a premature baby in the hospital nursery, toxic emotions absorbed in utero or the death of a loved one. These can have far-reaching effects into adulthood as the old fears are replayed over and over in repeating patterns, such as low self-esteem, abandonment issues, procrastination, lack of confidence and grief.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sending healing to distant events in your past can be a powerful way to break annoying or destructive patterns in your life, even if you do not know the original source of the problem. If your belief system accommodates this, the source may even be in a previous incarnation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Exercise: Decide on the issue or pattern you want to address and feel where in your body you are carrying most of the physical or emotional discomfort around this issue. If comfortable, place your hands on the affected area and place your full focus there, breathing into the area. If you aren&apos;t sure where the body is holding the discomfort, try placing one hand on the heart and the other on the solar plexus and focusing your attention and breathing there.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Say to yourself something along the lines of, &amp;quot;It is my stated intention to send healing to the very first time, place and circumstances that this problem (name the issue or pattern) I am experiencing first arose&amp;quot; Hold the hand positions, focus and channel energy via your crown chakra through your hands for as long as you desire, but for a minimum of 10 minutes. This can be extremely powerful clearing and you may find tears of release flowing spontaneously or loud sighs as the emotional/mental blocks release.     <title>Quick and Easy Self-Healing Techniques</title>

            <description>Each and every one of us on a path of personal growth needs a toolbox of quick, easy and powerful techniques to help us release and move beyond our personal issues and blockages. The ones below are some of my personal favourites:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;YOGA POSITION FOR CALMNESS AND SLEEP&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Lie on your back or sit with your left ankle over the right ankle. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Cross your arms with your right arm on top, fingers under your armpits and thumbs on top.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Focus gently just on the physical sensations in the body, such as tingles and twitches.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Focus on using your preferred relaxation breathing technique.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Hold the position for 10 minutes, then uncross the ankles and put your fingertips together in the prayer position. Hold that position for one minute.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Notice how calm and clear headed you feel.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;THE POWER OF NOW&lt;br /&gt;Concentrate your awareness on your 5 senses.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;What can you see around you? Look at the details of colour, shape, size, light, shadow, etc&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Close your eyes and be aware of all the sounds around you.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Notice physical sensations in the body- comfort or otherwise of the clothing and shoes, temperature, feelings of chair / pillow against the body, etc&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;What can you smell?&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;What can you taste?&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;When your attention is 100% in the present moment you are not thinking about the past or the future, so it is impossible to feel anxious. Anxiety is a forward-projected fear.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;BODY DISCOMFORT FOCUS&lt;br /&gt;The body contains a cellular memory of all the traumas, both physical and emotional, that it has experienced. Where the original source of the trauma has been resolved there is no discomfort left in the body. However where there is unresolved trauma or stress in the body it is possible to pick up on physical discomfort associated with that problem. Our bodies talk to us clearly, if only we learn to listen to their language. As well as the language of the mind-body connections, anywhere in the body can be telling us it is still holding onto a particular trauma or is calling out for our attention.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Simply by quieting the mind, focusing on an area of body discomfort and having the intention to breathe energy into that area, you can release and therefore resolve trapped emotions. You may also like to place your hands over the affected area for added comfort and heat.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Exercise: Think about an issue that has been bothering you. Imagine it vividly and get a sense of which area of your body has been holding onto the discomfort related to this issue. Get a clear picture in your mind of how this discomfort feels. Note the discomfort level on a scale from 1-10. Focus your out-breath to that region for at least 10 minutes or until a release is obtained. Re-note the remaining discomfort level - ideally the discomfort will have gone completely.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;PENDULATION&lt;br /&gt;This works by utilizing the body&apos;s experience of trauma and the body&apos;s experience of resiliency to create a balanced state. To pendulate, bridge with your awareness back and forth between constriction, tightness and the discomfort and relative places of expansion in the body.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;First, explore an area of relative discomfort, then find a place that is far away from or feels most different from the discomfort and tightness and explore it.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Then, go back and forth, focusing on each of the two places in the body.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Then add your breath. As you inhale, focus on the area of relative comfort; as you breathe out, focus on the area of relative tension (reverse the order if it brings better results)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Repeat this cycle for a minimum of 4 times, breathing in the comfort or expansion, breathing out the tension.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;You are likely to notice that the initial discomfort has substantially reduced or has gone completely.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;ASKING THE HEART WHAT IT WANTS &lt;br /&gt;When I ask people where they feel their soul is located, the majority of people will automatically put their hand over their heart. It appears the heart represents the gateway to the soul. When you have a decision to make, ask your heart what it wants and this is likely to be a reflection of your soul&#8217;s response. I have used the following technique repeatedly and have learnt to trust the answers I receive this way implicitly, even if the logical, analytical mind or the ego is trying to tell me something else.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Relax in a quiet place where you will not be disturbed for at least 10 minutes and breathe deeply to relax and still the mind. Focus on the heart as an observer and begin by asking a question that is an obvious Yes or No answer, such as, &amp;quot;Is my name Daffy Duck?&amp;quot; The individual feeling response of the heart will vary from individual to individual, but generally a &amp;quot;Yes&amp;quot; answer will elicit&amp;nbsp; a feeling of calm and expansiveness in the heart, whereas a &amp;quot;No&amp;quot; answer will get a feeling of heaviness and/or contraction. Try several questions with obvious Yes or No responses to understand how your heart/soul communicates with you. Then you are ready to ask whatever you like that requires a Yes or No answer and you should be able to clearly differentiate between the two.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;PROGRESSIVE RELAXATION TECHNIQUE&lt;br /&gt;This is particularly useful for people who find it difficult to relax or who are just starting out with meditation. Lying comfortably on your back bring your focus to the major parts of your body in turn from your feet up to your face and forehead muscles. In sequence clench each area as hard as you can, then give it permission to let go and relax. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A suggested sequence of tensing and relaxation is:&lt;br /&gt;Arches of feet- calf muscles- thighs - buttocks - lower back- abdominals - shoulders- hands- neck muscles- face and forehead muscles.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;MEDITATION&lt;br /&gt;Meditation involves a withdrawing of the external senses and a going within, a surrendering to an inner force. The meditative state is a highly relaxed state of altered consciousness between wakefulness and sleep, called an alpha-state. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are many different forms of meditation and experimenting with all of them on different occasions is a good idea to maintain discipline:&lt;br /&gt;- Mantra repetition, such as &amp;quot;ohm&amp;quot; the sound of creation or the key word of an affirmation, such as &amp;quot;confidence&amp;quot;. Mantras help to switch off mind interference and are especially recommended for meditation beginners.&lt;br /&gt;- Breathing techniques, given above, to focus mind on breath&lt;br /&gt;- Concentration on a fixed object, such as a candle flame&lt;br /&gt;- Quiet contemplation in a place of Nature&lt;br /&gt;- Insight meditation contacting higher self for problem solving and to provide answers. Insight meditation is very useful for gaining clarity on issues that the ego and conscious mind have been hindering.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A good introductory meditation is to focus on a point in a stream as viewed from a bridge. As bits of debris (thoughts) float along the stream acknowledge them and see them pass under the bridge. Do not try to consciously stop your thoughts during meditation. Benefits of meditation build up over time with consistent daily practice.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;HANDING PROBLEMS TO THE ANGELS&lt;br /&gt;For those people with a belief in angels, it is very powerful to collect together into a ball all the energy of a problem you are dealing with and then deliberately hand it all over to the angels to fix for you for your highest good and hand it back to you at a higher vibration when they have done so. This allows problems to be sorted out at a higher level and in much more creative ways that most of us think possible.     <title>TIPS FOR HEALERS - GROUNDING &amp; CENTERING </title>

            <description>In order to keep ourselves in good energetic balance as healers we need to develop a daily routine for keeping ourselves centered and grounded. The following techniques are a couple of my favourites:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;RAINBOW CENTERING TECHNIQUE&lt;br /&gt;This technique using the colours of the chakras is quick and easy to perform before giving an energy healing or at any other time you need to feel more centred.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Standing with feet slightly apart, imagine bringing red light (base chakra colour) from the earth and up through all the chakras, streaming out from the crown and flowing down the outside of the body to the feet. You will now be encased in rich, glowing red.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Repeat this procedure for each of the other chakra colours in the following order, allowing each new colour to be drawn up from the earth and cascade down the outside of the other colours around the body to the feet:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Orange (sacral chakra)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Sunshine Yellow (solar plexus chakra)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Emerald Green (heart chakra)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Sky Blue (throat chakra)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Indigo Blue (third eye chakra)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Violet (crown chakra)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then imagine drawing up liquid metal gold from the earth, up through all the chakras, then allowing it to flow in a fine line down the outside of the other rainbow colours. Hear the metallic &amp;quot;clink&amp;quot; as the gold locks under your feet, encasing all the colours inside it. Now you are protected in a gold eggshell. Visualise merging all the rainbow colours around you into brilliant white light. Notice how calm, balanced and centred you feel.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;With practice the colours can be drawn up through the body on the in-breath and cascade down the outside on the out-breath, making this procedure very quick. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;ROOTS INTO EARTH GROUNDING&lt;br /&gt;When doing healing work to clear energetic blocks and to raise the vibration either for yourself or others, it is very easy to become ungrounded. This may manifest as feeling tired and washed out, vague and unfocused or &amp;quot;off with the fairies&amp;quot;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It is advisable before starting any healing session to imagine roots, like tree roots, extending from the soles of your feet deep into the earth to anchor you firmly there. Imagine the root system becoming quite complex and reaching all the way down to the molten core of the earth. You may even like to imagine your feet are buried in soil up to the ankles.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;At the conclusion of the session just reinforce the roots from your feet are still going into the ground. Either this is because they suddenly realise life is passing them by and they have not met the goals they aspired to in their twenties, or alternatively the person may have been &amp;quot;successful&amp;quot; in obtaining their goals, yet somehow their life is still devoid of meaning and they have a gnawing emptiness inside. Why?             <description>&lt;div align=&quot;justify&quot;&gt;Before we can truly love others we first need to learn to love ourselves unconditionally, which for many people can be the most challenging part of their spiritual growth. We can be so busy &amp;quot;loving&amp;quot; others and &amp;quot;doing&amp;quot; for others that we neglect ourselves. How can we truly allow ourselves to be loved by another if we don&apos;t even know how to love ourselves first?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If we don&apos;t factor in time in our lives on a daily basis for self-love and self-nurturing we are being hypocritical and not in our integrity. Any &amp;quot;love&amp;quot; we are giving out to others is likely to be tainted with resentment about meeting their needs and not ours or be conditional upon getting something back from that person. Beginning to sound familiar? Probably the vast majority of us can relate to the above. No wonder our hearts have been closing down vibrationally. Unconditional love requires nothing in return - it just is. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Unconditional love is what your dog gives you. Owning a pet gives people an opportunity to just naturally open their heart up to unconditional love as they feel the purity of their animal&apos;s love and know it is not manipulative or calculating nor does it have a hidden agenda. An animal does not care how you look, what job you have, how much money you make, what car you drive or the house you live in. I feel animals are far closer spiritually to God than we are.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In our materialistic society the majority of people confuse self-love and self-nurturing with amassing physical possessions, such as fancy cars, big houses, lots of clothes, etc. How many people do we know who seem to have all the material things yet are depressed and empty inside. Hollywood is full of them. So-called self-nurturing may also be excessive consumption of alcohol, over-eating junk food, being a couch potato in front of the television, all of which are injurious to our health and do nothing to nourish us at a soul-level, where the real need for nurturing lies.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let&apos;s look at some positive soul-healing ways to nurture and love yourself:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;*. Laugh a lot - 10 minutes of laughter in the morning boosts your immune system, increases productivity and gives you a good attitude. Try it in the shower, while exercising or just about any time. Laughter uses every muscle in the body and releases endorphins, the happy hormones.&lt;br /&gt;* Enjoy guilt-free downtime - Be sure to build in regular reward breaks of 10-15 minutes after completing a task. That way you don&apos;t need to feel guilty about stopping for a break.             <description>&lt;b&gt;What is Vibrational Healing?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Every one of us has our own unique vibration or frequency, our &amp;quot;energy signature&amp;quot; if you like, which is made up from the combination of the vibrations from our physical body and the subtle energetic bodies in the surrounding electromagnetic auric field. Through many years experience working as a vibrational healer since 1995 I have observed that for most people their natural vibration will be roughly commensurate with their body size and build. For instance a tall, muscle-bound man will naturally have a much heavier vibration than a petite female. People with natural healing gifts tend to have much finer vibrations than their body type would suggest. This is probably why women with their generally lighter body frames have a head start vibrationally and seem to outnumber men 4:1 in the healing arts as their vibrations are naturally higher and finer.&lt;br /&gt;In an ideal state, energy flows freely throughout our physical body as well as through our etheric, emotional, mental and spiritual subtle bodies. In reality, most of us contain areas of blocked, trapped or stagnant energy from an accumulation of unresolved traumas and faulty subconscious beliefs.             <description>&lt;p&gt;In order to keep ourselves in good energetic balance as healers we need to develop a daily routine for keeping ourselves centered and grounded. The following techniques are a couple of my favourites.&lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;RAINBOW CENTERING TECHNIQUE&lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;This technique using the colours of the chakras is quick and easy to perform before giving an energy healing or at any other time you need to feel more centred.&lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;Standing with feet slightly apart, imagine bringing red light (base chakra color) from the earth and up through all the chakras, streaming out from the crown and flowing down the outside of the body to the feet. You will now be encased in rich, glowing red.&lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;Repeat this procedure for each of the other chakra colors in the following order, allowing each new colour to be drawn up from the earth and cascade down the outside of the other colours around the body to the feet.&lt;/p&gt;
  
  &lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Orange (sacral chakra)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Sunshine Yellow (solar plexus chakra)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Emerald Green (heart chakra)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Sky Blue (throat chakra)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Indigo Blue (third eye chakra)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Violet (crown chakra)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;
  
  
  
  
  &lt;p&gt;Then imagine drawing up liquid metal gold from the earth, up through all the chakras, then allowing it to flow in a fine line down the outside of the other rainbow colors. Hear the metallic &apos;clink&apos; as the gold locks under your feet, encasing all the colours inside it. Now you are protected in a gold eggshell. Visualise merging all the rainbow colors around you into briliant white light. Notice how calm, balanced and centered you feel.&lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;With practice the colors can be drawn up through the body on the in-breath and cascade down the outside on the out-breath, making this procedure very quick.&lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;ROOTS INTO EARTH GROUNDING&lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;When doing healing work to clear energetic blocks and to raise the vibration either for yourself or others, it is very easy to become ungrounded. This may manifest as feelling tired and washed out, vague and unfocused or &amp;quot;off with the fairies&amp;quot;.&lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;It is advisable before starting any healing session to imagine roots, like tree roots, extending from the soles of your feet deep into the earth to anchor you firmly there. Imagine the root system becoming quite complex and reaching all the way down to the molten core of the earth. you may even like to imagine your feet are buried in soil up to the ankles.&lt;/p&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;At the conclusion of the session just reinforce the roots from your feet are still going into the ground. If you are working with someone else you may also like to visualise roots coming from their feet at the end of the session to help ground them, as well as brushing their legs down firmly towards the feet.&lt;/p&gt;
