Ultra-Fast Image Sharing, Unprecedented Management Put All Images, Whatever the Source, to Meaningful Use
ETIAM, Cambridge, MA – November 2, 2011 – Ushering in a new standard for effective cross-enterprise medical image sharing, ETIAM debuts at RSNA 2011 Secure Medical Networking (SMN) version 3.20, which supports unified film, CD and electronic data transfer and now fully integrates imaging information from beyond the enterprise into existing hospital workflow. The enhanced ETIAM solution provides a comprehensive solution not only to transfer imaging data but also to bring order to the thousands of external images that enter many facilities every day. The result is more effective, efficient, secure and cost-effective care as well as the ability to finally put all images, whatever the original source and format, to meaningful use.
New to the SMN v. 3.20 is support for bi-directional consultation, which enables practitioners in multiple locations to share over the Internet both imaging data and a broad range of related patient files and to communicate about this information in real time. These files include documents—such as time-sensitive Glascow Coma Scale reports for trauma transfers—as well as non-DICOM still and moving images. Because information transfer bypasses the cloud, diagnostic-quality images and other files are transmitted...Thu, 03 Nov 2011 08:57:12 +0100Viagra drug test » Approved Canadian Pharmacy.

SYSTEM C WILL BE DEMONSTRATING MEDWAY ORDERS & RESULTS AT EHI LIVE, BIRMINGHAM NEC. 7-8TH NOVEMBER. STAND B20.
The Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Foundation Trust (RD&E) has successfully gone live with System C’s Medway clinical information system, for Trust-wide requesting and reporting of laboratory and radiology services. Some 4,000 Trust clinical and administrative staff are now using System C’s Medway software to order radiology and pathology tests and view results in one place. The software replaces a traditional paper-based order and delivery system.
Since go-live, use of the system has increased significantly month on month. In September, 86% of the Trust’s clinical chemistry tests were requested using Medway. “ We are delighted with the take-up of Order Comms across the Trust and with the improved speed and safety that the Medway software has brought, said Wendy Ware, director of IM&T at RD&E.
“This implementation has involved a large number of users, over multiple sites. The project is ongoing, but the success of this first stage is a testament to the hard work and dedication of both our staff and System C “, she added. As well as speeding up internal processes, the Trust is looking to Medway to help improve financial efficiency...Thu, 03 Nov 2011 07:58:56 +0100Viagra drug test » Approved Canadian Pharmacy.

System Supports Image Guided Surgeries, Brain Stimulation and More
Toronto, October 26, 2011--Claron Technology, a leading developer of software for advanced visualization and analysis of medical images, announced today issuance by the European Patent Office of patent no. 1527417B1 entitled “A Video Pose Tracking System and Method” for the company’s MicronTracker system. One of the most advanced systems of its kind, Claron’s MicronTracker optical pose tracking technology uses real-time stereoscopic vision to detect and track the location and orientation (pose) of specially marked objects in space. These objects, which may be a surgical tool or anatomical location, are marked using small checkered target patterns (“Xpoints”).
Claron has held a U.S. patent for its MicronTracker technology since 2005, and it currently is in use worldwide by more than 250 medical centers, research sites and medical device OEMs. Using visible light in real-time to detect marked objects, Claron’s MicronTracker is a fully passive system, by contrast with older generation systems that require built-in infrared light emission.
“Claron’s MicronTracker, with its rich functionality, uses a fundamentally different, advanced approach than prior tracking technologies. Target patterns are detected reliably, and the location of a pattern’s center is precisely pinpointed by Claron’s advanced processing algorithms,” says Zami Yerushalmy,...Thu, 27 Oct 2011 08:49:42 +0100Viagra drug test » Approved Canadian Pharmacy.

Siemens Healthcare supports the study of real life clinical cases with syngo.via
The British Institute of Radiology (BIR), with technical support from Siemens Healthcare, has recently run a Cardiac CT level II1 course for visiting radiology professionals from Iraq. The BIR works in partnership with The Baghdad Medical College; and The Baghdad Teaching Hospital in Iraq is funded by the UK Department for International Development and managed by British Council. The four day course delivered training on the skills required to produce and interpret clinical cases and included the study of 150 cases using the Siemens’ syngo®.via imaging workstation application.
“Cardiovascular disease remains one of the world's leading causes of premature death and the figures from Iraq show it is no different to the rest of the world. The ability of cardiovascular CT to detect coronary artery disease (CAD) non-invasively allows early detection or exclusion of CAD and appropriate primary and secondary prevention strategies to be put in place to address this issue. Training senior colleagues from the Baghdad Medical College and Teaching Hospital will allow them to pass down these new skills to colleagues throughout Iraq and put them in a stronger position to address the growing global epidemic of cardiovascular...Thu, 27 Oct 2011 08:32:16 +0100Viagra drug test » Approved Canadian Pharmacy.

New Technology Improves System Performance & Customer Satisfaction
SUNNYVALE, Calif.—October 25, 2011—Accuray Incorporated (Nasdaq: ARAY), the premier radiation oncology company, today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted the company 510(k) clearance to market the Dose Control System (DCS), a new feature for Accuray’s TomoTherapy® System that improves system performance.
The TomoTherapy System revolutionized radiation therapy with the introduction of helical delivery, providing precise application of dose to target structures while sparing healthy tissue. With the advent of the Dose Control System the TomoTherapy System again breaks new ground as the first dose servo-controlled helical delivery system (patent pending). This approach provides even higher precision with unprecedented dose stability throughout complex rotational treatments. Static delivery provided by the TomoDirectTM option also benefits from a more stable and consistent dose rate at every gantry angle.
The new DCS feature provides these gains by automatically adjusting controls previously handled through a manual process. This means small variations in dose rate are immediately corrected by the system, resulting in fewer interruptions. The DCS application also ensures a more stable output over longer duration treatments, such as Total Marrow and Total Body Irradiation. The result of this new product feature is higher customer...Thu, 27 Oct 2011 08:09:34 +0100Viagra drug test » Approved Canadian Pharmacy.

Podium Presentation Will Focus on Physicians' Experience of Cloud-Based Sharing of Medical Data Sharing
SAN DIEGO - The benefits of using a cloud-based service to share medical imaging studies and reports will be the focus of a presentation at RSNA 2011. The talk by Mark D. Kovacs, M.D. and Michael A. Trambert, M.D. reviews experience witheMix™, the industry-leading cloud-based medical data-sharing service.
eMix will also be exhibited at the conference, along with two new features that greatly expand its capabilities. In their presentation, Drs. Kovacs and Trambert will describe the technical barriers to sharing patient data between healthcare providers with different, proprietary information technology systems. They will also note the problems associated with the workaround solutions developed to overcome those barriers. These solutions include faxing, burning images to CDs, and sending files via virtual private networks.
The inadequacy of these solutions leads to patients being subjected to redundant imaging studies 10%-to-20% of the time, which exposes those patients to excess radiation and adds billions of dollars to national healthcare costs. The presenters will then demonstrate how cloud-based services have addressed the issue by providing data-sharing that is low-cost, secure, near instantaneous, and vender-neutral.
