The popularity of diet pills is due to numerous reasons. However, people opt for diet pills as they desire a simple losing weight. The most common approach to weight loss is to follow strict diets and engaging with intense exercises. Although these can be helpful in many situations, there are the possibility that they are not effective, since factors that cause weight gain differ for each person.

Sometimes, even the most well-known diets fail or aren’t affordable for individuals to pay personal trainers or carve the time to exercise each day. However taking weight loss pills for diet and the expectation that your body to shed weight by itself sounds simple, and diet pills are less expensive than weight loss procedure, which is why people choose to make use of these.

Exipure is among the most recent additions to weight loss pills popular nowadays. Although it is a brand new product, it’s getting a positive reception mostly because it has assisted people in reaching their weight goals without creating the burden on their finances. However, the danger of taking a risk with a new product is the same, particularly for someone who has had no experience with a diet supplement before.

What can I do to ensure it’s suitable for use? What are the ingredients used and where can you purchase Exipure? Find out more within this review of Exipure.

MUST SEE: “Critical New Exipure Report Will Surprise You – Must See This Before Buying”

Exipure Review

There are likely to be hundreds of diet pills on the market, however none of them is beneficial. It’s hard to refuse and not believe the claims offered by these companies even if you’ve tried everything before and are yet to shed weight. People who are unmotivated or busy with their routines look for a simpler way to shed weight since exercising and dieting require a significant commitment. However, are there any products that can help you lose weight without causing negative side results?

Yes however, you won’t be able to find these pills on the shelves of the supermarket. Finding the ideal weight loss system can be hard and tiring and requires a lot of effort, but one shouldn’t give up in this fight and continue to search to find a better alternative instead of putting their health at risk and money with a questionable weight loss product.

Exipure is a new supplement that is gaining popularity because of the proper reasons. It is a premium herbal supplement each one with scientifically proven benefits for health. Keep reading this Exipure review to find out the way it can melt fat, without impacting other body functions.

What is Exipure?

Exipure is a weight loss supplement comprised of natural ingredients that have proven scientifically-proven advantages. It is the result of years of studies on medicinal plants in the hope of finding the most effective alternatives for natural weight loss. Because plants have been used for hundreds of years in various ways, researchers believe they can aid in the fight against obesity. To find these plants they discovered eight unique ingredients, all having a role to play in the removal of fats that are not needed.

As stated on exipure.com This supplement is suitable for women and men as well as those who are different from this binary distinction. This is a prescription-free formula but only people who are 18 and over are eligible to use it. Exipure is available in capsules with 30 capsules per bottle. The bottle must be consumed within a month, but the best results can be seen in between two and three months.

Although the supplement market is filled with identical products losing weight using Exipure is distinctive. It does this by changing common white fat to brown fat, which is also known as brown fat, also known as. The natural ingredients in the supplement assist to convert this fat and the body sheds many calories during the process of conversion. The most significant and distinctive feature of Exipure is that it is absorbed into the body and targets the primary factor that causes weight gain.

To paraphrase a great old slogan for Guinness beer: Sex isn’t just good, it’s good for you! Okay, so maybe there’s some wishful thinking going on —

To paraphrase a great old slogan for Guinness beer: Sex isn’t just good, it’s good for you!

Okay, so maybe there’s some wishful thinking going on — the science isn’t exactly iron-clad — but evidence is accumulating that the more sex you have, the better off you are.

There is one caveat, though. “We do not have good data to show a direct connection [to all-around good health],” says Jennifer Bass, the head of information services at the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction in Bloomington, Ind. “We know that healthier people have more sexual activity. But we do not know which comes first. Does the good health make you more willing to have sex, or does the sex have a positive impact?”

And you dirty girrrls and Don Juans should know that the assumed health benefits of sex are generally thought to accrue to people in loving, monogamous relationships or those flying solo. Risky sex with lots of partners will probably do more harm than good.

But while researchers try to nail down the impact on overall health, data is mounting when it comes to some specifics. Here are several potential benefits:

1. Easing depression and stress
Bass says this is pretty definite. “The release from orgasm does much to calm people. It helps with sleep, and that is whether we talk about solo sex or sex with a partner,” she says.

But wait, there’s more. A recent study of college students at the State University of New York in Albany suggests that semen acts as an antidepressant. Females in the study who were having sex without condoms (see safe sex caution, above) had fewer signs of depression than women who used condoms or abstained from sex.

“These data are consistent with the possibility that semen may antagonize depressive symptoms,” the authors wrote, “and evidence which shows that the vagina absorbs a number of components of semen that can be detected in the bloodstream within a few hours of administration.”

I kid you not, ladies. Semen is good stuff. It gives a shot of zinc, calcium, potassium, fructose, proteins — a veritable cornucopia of vitality!

2. Relieving pain
Orgasm is a powerful pain-killer. Oxytocin, a natural chemical in the body that surges before and during climax, gets some of the credit, along with a couple of other compounds like endorphins.

According to a study by Beverly Whipple, professor emeritus at Rutgers University and a famed sexologist and author, when women masturbated to orgasm “the pain tolerance threshold and pain detection threshold increased significantly by 74.6 percent and 106.7 percent respectively.”

3. Boosting cardio health
I can’t resist another plug for semen. It’s possible that male goo can lower blood pressure. Another recent study found that women who gave their men oral sex, and swallowed, had a lower risk of preeclampsia, the dangerously high blood pressure that sometimes accompanies pregnancy.

No, I’m not making this up. “The present study shows that oral sex and swallowing sperm is correlated with a diminished occurrence of preeclampsia,” said the Dutch authors.

See? We told you it was good for you.

There have been other studies showing that sex lowers blood pressure, and might even protect against strokes because of its stress-relieving ability.

But when we think of sex and the cardio system, we tend to think of poor old Nelson Rockefeller having a heart attack in flagrante delicto. Well, not only does that hardly ever happen, but sex might actually protect the heart. A 2002 report from a large British population of men said “some protection from fatal coronary events may be an added bonus” of frequent sexual intercourse.

4. Countering prostate cancer
Over the past few years, several journals have published studies showing that the more ejaculations the better.

Now the Journal of the American Medical Association, no less, has reported that “high ejaculation frequency was related to decreased risk of total prostate cancer.” It doesn’t matter how a man climaxes — intercourse or masturbation. So next time he says, “Really, honey, it’s therapy,” he could be telling the truth.

5. Healing wounds
Some evidence suggests sex can be rejuvenating to the point of helping wounds to heal faster. Several experiments have shown that oxytocin can help even stubborn sores, like those suffered by diabetics, to heal by regenerating certain cells.

6. Fighting aging
Maybe it’s the rejuvenation, maybe the happiness, maybe all of the above. One thing’s for sure: “Use it or lose it” is literally true. For example, postmenopausal women often suffer from “vaginal atrophy,” which is what it sounds like and can lead to all sorts of complications like urinary tract infections. What’s one way to prevent it? More intercourse.

Sex is a form of exercise, after all, and like all exercise, it burns calories and can help battle the onslaught of the years. In fact, nursing home experts say they wish oldsters would have more sex.

Can sex really make you live longer? Maybe. In the same population of British men I cited earlier, researchers found a 50 percent reduction in overall mortality in the group of men who said they had the most orgasms. There was a dose response: the more orgasms, the better.

Of course, as Kinsey’s Bass reminds us, it could be that these blokes were just healthier and felt like having sex more often. But since there’s no evidence that lots of sex is bad for you, what have you got to lose?

Another astounding breakthrough in medicine has occurred and it is in the realm of eradicating cancers that no other treatment can match.

This particular vaccine not only targets the cancer cells and eradicates them but leaves healthy tissues alone. This particular test was worked on prostate cancer cells and successfully wiped out 80 percent of the cells without causing any harmful side effects.

The new technique could be put into trials within two years says the British team that developed the technique. The scientists believe that the technique can be used on other cancers including deadly breast cancer and lung and pancreatic cancers.

This vaccine works instead of preventing disease but by hunting down and killing the cancers once they’ve been detected.

Scientists figured out a way to get the human immune system to recognize specific cancer cells and attack them without going into overdrive and killing healthy cells. The technique is unique but researchers figure that they’ll be able to adapt it to other cancers relatively soon. It is obvious that the other researchers around the world will jump on this technique and in combination with other breakthroughs like stem cell treatments, we may be looking at the end of cancer.

An E. coli presence has been confirmed in a child that died over the weekend in Virginia according tot he Virginia Department of Health Public Information.

Officer Robert Parker stated that, “The lab results confirm the presence of E. coli 0157:H7” and added, “That’s ta strain of E. coli that causes severe illness.”

Another case of the strain was confirmed in Northeast Tennessee according to the Northeast Regional Health Office Medical Director Dr. David Kirschke who said, “We have one case of the severe type in Tennessee,” and added, “It may be similar to what the two kids from Virginia had.”

Dr. Krischke also says that seven other confirmed cases come from four Northeast Tennessee counties but those people seem to have the less severe form of the illness.

Health officials warn people to be careful of where they go swimming and to cook their meats thoroughly and to wash their vegetables and hands and overall maintain proper hygienic regimens.

This news is scary as a major, deadly outbreak of a two new strains of E. Coli have killed over 20 people in Europe and made over 2,000 ill and has created the largest disease contamination policing in Europe’s recent history. The strains of E. Coli in Europe so far hasn’t turned up in the US, but officials are closely monitoring the problem just in case.

The massive E. coli breakout that has Europe in terror has finally been traced to vegetable sprouts grown in Germany.

For the past week Spain had been targeted as the cause of the outbreak that brought the country to economic turmoil as it defended itself against the charges. Now that investigators have done a more through job the true source of the outbreak has been identified.

The E. coli outbreak has killed about 20 people and severely made ill about 2,000. Scientists and officials were at a race around the clock to figure out who did what and how did the foods get contaminated with a strain of the sometimes deadly bacteria. In this case two strains of the E. coli bacteria that scientists hadn’t seen before combined into a virulent strain that was resistant to treatment.

Germany got hit the hardest and immediately blamed Spain, however no one in Spain had become ill. Other European countries soon put out bans on Spanish goods which cost the country around $200 million a day which Spain has asked the EU to compensate them for the loss.

The final results of the examination of the contamination should be released on Monday and then scientists will have to get busy with the necessary treatments and deterrents.

There are cows out there having nightmares right now as Burger King has announced that they’re producing a 1,160 calorie sandwich that has enough meat to make a grown lion back off.

This monster sized sandwich is called the ‘Meat Monster’ and has two hamburgers, a chicken breast fillet, three strips of bacon, two slices of cheese, and a small garden of lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Fortunately for the rest of the world the sandwich is only available in Japan.

It’s bad enough that Japan is recovering from a monster quake and tsunami but now they have to deal with Burger King shoving a sandwich so big and full of calories that a family of four could probably live off of it for a week.

It’s loaded with 24 grams of saturated fat, 13 grams of sugar and 1.5 grams of trans fats. Not only is it loaded with all that it’s packed with 2,290 milligrams of sodium which breaks every health standard in the known world for daily salt consumption.

There should be a health alert sent out by the UN regarding this new sandwich from Burger King. With people keeling over from fat and sodium in their diets to unleash this monster on the unsuspecting public should be considered a crime against humanity.

I just know God is with me. I can feel Him always, a young Haitian woman once told me. I've meditated and gone to another place I can't describe. Hours

“I just know God is with me. I can feel Him always,” a young Haitian woman once told me.

“I’ve meditated and gone to another place I can’t describe. Hours felt like mere minutes. It was an indescribable feeling of peace,” recalled a CNN colleague.

“I’ve spoken in languages I’ve never learned. It was God speaking through me,” confided a relative.

The accounts of intense religious and spiritual experiences are topics of fascination for people around the world. It’s a mere glimpse into someone’s faith and belief system. It’s a hint at a person’s intense connection with God, an omniscient being or higher plane. Most people would agree the experience of faith is immeasurable.

Dr. Andrew Newberg, neuroscientist and author of “Why We Believe What We Believe,” wants to change all that. He’s working on ways to track how the human brain processes religion and spirituality. It’s all part of new field called neurotheology.

After spending his early medical career studying how the brain works in neurological and psychiatric conditions such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, depression and anxiety, Newberg took that brain-scanning technology and turned it toward the spiritual: Franciscan nuns, Tibetan Buddhists, and Pentecostal Christians speaking in tongues. His team members at the University of Pennsylvania were surprised by what they found.

“When we think of religious and spiritual beliefs and practices, we see a tremendous similarity across practices and across traditions.”

The frontal lobe, the area right behind our foreheads, helps us focus our attention in prayer and meditation.

The parietal lobe, located near the backs of our skulls, is the seat of our sensory information. Newberg says it’s involved in that feeling of becoming part of something greater than oneself.

The limbic system, nestled deep in the center, regulates our emotions and is responsible for feelings of awe and joy.

Newberg calls religion the great equalizer and points out that similar areas of the brain are affected during prayer and meditation. Newberg suggests that these brain scans may provide proof that our brains are built to believe in God. He says there may be universal features of the human mind that actually make it easier for us to believe in a higher power.

Interestingly enough, devout believers and atheists alike point to the brain scans as proof of their own ideas.

Some nuns and other believers champion the brain scans as proof of an innate, physical conduit between human beings and God. According to them, it would only make sense that God would give humans a way to communicate with the Almighty through their brain functions.

Some atheists saw these brain scans as proof that the emotions attached to religion and God are nothing more than manifestations of brain circuitry.

Scott Atran doesn’t consider himself an atheist, but he says the brain scans offer little in terms of understanding why humans believe in God. He is an anthropologist and author of “In Gods We Trust: The Evolutionary Landscape of Religion.”

Instead of viewing religion and spirituality as an innate quality hardwired by God in the human brain, he sees religion as a mere byproduct of evolution and Darwinian adaptation.

“Just like we’re not hardwired for boats, but humans in all cultures make boats in pretty much the same way, Atran explains. “Now, that’s a result both of the way the brain works and of the needs of the world, and of trying to traverse a liquid medium and so I think religion is very much like that.”

Atran points to the palms of his hands as another example of evolutionary coincidence. He says the creases formed there are a mere byproduct of human beings working with our hands — stretching back to the ages of striking the first fires, hunting the first prey to building early shelter. Although, the patterns in our palms were coincidentally formed by eons of evolution and survival, he points out that cultures around the world try to find meaning in them through different forms of palm reading.

Anthropologists like Atran say, “Religion is a byproduct of many different evolutionary functions that organized our brains for day-to-day activity.”

To be sure, religion has the unparalleled power to bring people into groups. Religion has helped humans survive, adapt and evolve in groups over the ages. It’s also helped us learn to cope with death, identify danger and finding mating partners.

Today, scientific images can track our thoughts on God, but it would take a long leap of faith to identify why we think of God in the first place.

A store in London called Icecreamists that was founded by Matt O’Connor that made headlines recently for selling ice cream made from human breast milk dubbed Baby Gaga is back in the news again after authorities seized the tasty treat from the store.

The government says that the reason for the seizure of the popular ice cream product is due to fears the milk may be a health hazard passing on such diseases as hepatitis.

The furor over the recall has proponents for the ice cream hot under the collar and in need of cooling off.

The ice cream was so popular that the store that sold it had lines around the block with anxious customers waiting to try it out. The manufacturer said that the ice cream had been tested with rigorous standards and if the breast milk was so dangerous then why was Victoria Hiley’s baby’s allowed to drink it.

This is one funny news story that sends out all sorts of humorous images of women lined up like dairy cows getting milked for the delivery trucks. The natural food proponents are happy in the turn toward human breast milk as science has shown before that it’s healthier for people than cow or goat milk.

One wonders about other such milk based products based on breast milk and how in the world is it manufactured. Will we see cans and bottles with pictures of smiling women with large breasts on the labels like we do with dairy products?

The British health officials had better come up with a better reason for keeping people away from mother’s milk or there might be street protests like they’ve had in Egypt or Libya!

Officials from CBS are claiming that reporter Serene Branson feels fine and she is perfectly okay, nonetheless few people are still trying to find out what exactly happened to her on Sunday.

Branson was not officially admitted to a hospital, but she was examined on the scene by paramedics who said that she was okay and good to go.

Since the event some doctors have weighed in with their own opinion, stating that she could have suffered a very minor stroke without even realizing it.

Each year thousands of people show similar symptoms which are warning signs of what is to come and they can be dangerous if ignored.

In recent years doctors have discovered numerous signs which can appear to point to a stroke- including speech problems like Branson experienced live.

Christine Honeycutt who is an 11 year old girl and suffers from Parry-Romberg syndrome which is a rare disease that causes half of her face to deteriorate and eventually waste away has had surgery to successfully get it back.

The disease also known as progressive hemifacial atrophy is an immune system disorder that affects people between the ages of five to fifteen years of age and one in a million people get this disorder. Although there is no cure for the problem there are surgical methods that can help.

Vicky Honeycutt, the girl’s mother contacted Dr. John Siebert who is a plastic surgeon and a professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine. He’s also a microsurgery specialist and has done 140 operations for the Parry-Romberg syndrome patients.

Sibert calls the operation to rebuild the girl’s face like “building a teddy bear” as he had to take healthy tissue from her armpit and implanting it beneath the skin of her face. The implanted tissue the grows with the surrounding tissue so that the two hemispheres of the child’s face grow at similar rates of speed.

The success of the surgery at present isn’t the end for the girl as she’ll need some fine tuning and then later she’ll need more major surgery as she ages.

Some research suggests that menopausal symptoms like hot flashes and night sweats can actually be a blessing in disguise for women who are going through “the change”.

Women who are just starting to go through menopause apparently have a significantly less risk of heart problems than women who have not yet gone through the change.

Although scientists are not yet able to explain why these specific women are able to avoid heart-related problems, it is in fact what the studies point to.

Hot flashes and night sweats are two of the most common symptoms which women who are experiencing menopause for the first time go through.
The study’s leader Dr Emily Szmuilowicz, from Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago said:

“We found that women who experienced symptoms when they began menopause had fewer cardiovascular events than those who experienced hot flashes late in menopause or not at all,”

Even though these symptoms hardly feel like a blessing for most women, according to scientists they can actually be a good thing.

Women who have already gone through menopause are more vulnerable to cardiovascular problems and are much more likely to have heart attacks than those women who are just starting to go through it. T

A recent study may suggest that cell phones could actually have a significant impact on the brain’s metabolism.

The study revealed among other things that a 50-minute call was able to boost overall activity in certain regions of the brain significantly.

The areas which are most active are those which are nearest to the phone, which makes sense and could suggest a lot about the way our brains work when we are talking away on the phone.

One bioengineer from the University of Washington has said that this study is the first one ever to map and track activity in the brain curing a cell phone conversation, something that has just not been explored before.

The data which has resulted from the study is very interesting for researchers and has provided them with plenty to work with when it comes to coming closer to fully understanding how the human brain really works during all different kinds of interpersonal activities.

For the study researchers measured brain activity of almost fifty participants who were instructed to talk on their cell phone for a certain amount of time while electrodes were put on their head to map brain activity.

In a poll of 2,400 women, Fitness Magazine asked them if they would forgo a year without having sex if it meant they could be skinny and 51% said yes.

In other data gleaned from the surveys as 43% of the women said they had skipped meals on a regular basis to lose the extra pounds and 39% said they had taken diet pills. Another 40% said they went on their first diet in high school but perhaps as early as middle school.

Dr. Jennifer Hartstein, a psychologist who contributed to the survey said on “The Early Show on Saturday Morning” that the survey “really says a lot about body image.”

Hartstein then referred to the sex and body image link as a really vicious cycle and that we need to handle this outlook.

She emphasized that it’s about self confidence and self assurance that brings about these viewpoints women have about their bodies. She also pointed out that the media plays an enormous role in sending the message that women need to be slim.

She also discussed that the message the culture and media sends to girls at a very young age is causing them to diet earlier and that this trend is disturbing.

The FDA has recently pushed for more stringent safety warnings on a popular treatment which is supposedly able to prevent women from going into premature labor, something that can cause serious health complications for both the baby and the mother.

One spokesperson for the FDA said that pregnant women should not be administered terbutaline intravenously for more than tree days because there is the potential for heart problems later on and even death.

The treatment is now required to carry a serious warning label on the box from the FDA for women who are considering using it.

Officials from the Food and Drug Administration also stated that they would like to warn doctors of the dangers of giving pregnant women the drug in pill form.

They have said that it should not be prescribed because it hasn’t even been proven to be effective and they do not think it is appropriate at all for this use.

The FDA has commented on the dangerousness of this drug in the past for pregnant women and believes it should not be prescribed at all but will settle for a warning label.

KCBS reporter Serene Branson is troubled by the video of her on air moment of illness while covering the Grammy Awards.

The video of the KCBS-TV Channel 2 reporter is all over the web and that prompted Branson to appear on “The Early Show” in order to set the record straight about what happened that night when she began slurring her speech and became incomprehensible to viewers.

Branson said on the show that during the incident at the Staples Center last Sunday night her vision was blurry and her head began aching and she knew as she continued that something was amiss.

As Branson tried to report on the win for country music celebs Lady Antebellum but instead went into moments of incomprehensibility and gibberish. Soon the camera pulled away and she then dropped the microphone feeling “wobbly”. She said her cheek and hands went numb. She was attended to by paramedics. She then saw the videos on YouTube and felt a little embarrassed about all the attention.

Now she is feeling great and a little tired she says and is feeling like herself again.

She was later diagnosed with a migraine aura which often mimics the same symptoms of a stroke.

Los Angeles reporter Serene Branson’s on air moment of confusion was caused by what’s referred to as a migraine aura.

Branson stunned viewers last week while on the air reporting about the Grammy Awards when she started to slur her words and became incomprehensible.

The manifestation of the illness is called aphasia but could also be called dysphasia since she was still able to speak. In the prior, one isn’t able to vocalize.

Branson who is recuperating well did an interview with CBS’ “The Early Show” on Friday where she said:

“I knew something wasn’t right as soon as I opened my mouth.I hadn’t been feeling well a little bit before the live shot. I had a headache, my vision was very blurry. I knew something wasn’t right, but I just thought I was tired. So when I opened my mouth, I thought, ‘This is more than just being tired. Something is terribly wrong.’ I wanted to say, ‘Lady Antebellum swept the Grammys.’ And I could think of the words, but I could not get them coming out properly.”

The debate in Congress regarding the allocation of taxpayer money towards the Planned Parenthood program became personal.

New Jersey Republican Representative Chris Smith read gruesome accounts of abortions from a book. California Democratic Representative Jackie Speier chose not to go through with her planned remarks on the legislation, as the “gentlemen from New Jersey just put my stomach in knots.”

Speier revealed on the floor of the House that she had once had an abortion.

She stated, “I’m one of those women he spoke about just now. That procedure you just talked about was a procedure I endured. I lost a baby. But for you to stand on this floor and to suggest, as you have, that somehow this is a procedure that is either welcomed or done cavalierly or done without any thought is preposterous.

In her emotional appeal, she stated that she had to go through with an abortion at 17-weeks gestation due to medical complications.

The GOP is currently working towards an amendment that would defund Planned Parenthood.

This amendment is championed by Republican Representative Mike Pence from Indiana, who stated, “As the father of two teenage daughter, there are not words strong enough to portray my contempt of this pattern of apparent fraud and abuse by Planned Parenthood.”

More than 100 doctors and nurses and physical therapists in nine cities were charged with Medicare Fraud on Thursday by federal authorities.

It took more than 700 law enforcement agents who spread out and arrested 111 people and accused them of illegally billing Medicare more than $225 million. This is the latest in arrests in a wave of such in the past two years as the cops have been struggling to stop the fraud which may have hit a cost to the government of between $60 billion and $90 billion every year.

Stopping the fraud and returning the money could make President Obama’s health care program work financially.

According to reports, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Seblius as well Attorney General Eric Holder teamed up in 2009 to allocate the needed money and manpower to handle fraud hot spots.

The indictments and arrests were targeted to suspects in the following cities of Miami, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Detroit, Chicago, Brooklyn, Tampa, and Baton Rouge.

Some of the cases of fraud involved a podiatrist who performed partial toenail removals and is accused of billing Medicare for about $700,000 for the costly and unnecessary medical procedures and authorities charge that the doctor involved barely did some toenail clippings before charging Medicare.

Your mom may have recommended chicken soup for a cold but a recent study shows that zinc is more effective.

Researchers reported on Tuesday that zinc lozenges, tablets, or syrup used at the first signs of a cold would more than likely bring about a faster recovery.

18 studies have been checked out where zinc was used for treating colds and some discovered that zinc supplements were modestly helpful while others showed no effects.

Analysis of 14 studies that was published in 2007 concluded that the studies, many of them were flawed to actually draw any conclusions.

However in the latest report that was published by the Cochrane Library which is an international network of experts who conduct reviews of research the scientists of India checked out 15 studies including an additional four published since 2000.

Zinc’s effectiveness was evaluated in two studies and the rest of the studies on the compound’s ability to shorten the length of colds involved 1,360 people from ages 1 to 65 with good overall health.

As the data was pooled the information showed the researchers that people who took the zinc within 24 hours at the start of symptoms were over their colds around one day sooner than people on placebos. The analysis also discovered that the severity of symptoms were milder in people who took the zinc products.

If she doesn’t get her bid for the Guinness Book of World Records, Burmese girl Le Yati Min can take up the piano and rule the world.

The child has 12 fingers and 14 toes and her mother is petitioning the Guinness book of world records to acknowledge the child for the total fingers and toes.

The girl is only 16 months old and has six fingers on each hand and seven toes on each foot.

The Guinness World Record for the most digits belongs to two people in India who both have 12 fingers and 13 toes. This means that little Le Yati Min beats both of them with one digit.

Living with her family in their small wooden house in impoverished Yangon, her mom, Phyo Min Min Soe who is 26 humorously asked the nurses at her daughter’s birth if the child had two hands and two legs.

The nurses reportedly replied that the baby has “more than she needs,” recounts the mother.

The child has what is called polydactylism which is the condition of being born with an extra toe or finger which affects one in every 500 births. In this girl’s case it’s even more uncommon for extra digits to be found on both hands and feet.

Kristine Casey might just be the oldest woman in the history of Illinois to give birth, having gone through menopause ten years earlier.

Sara Connell, Casey’s 35-year old daughter, approached her mother and asked her to carry an embryo that Connell and her husband had created with their own sperm and egg, after she had numerous pregnancies fail to come to full-term.

Connell said, “The idea of having a family member being open to doing this for us was so extraordinary for us.”

Casey recently gave birth to her grandchild, Finnean Lee Connell, after undergoing a Cesarean section at Northwestern Memorial Hospital last week.

Casey underwent in-vitro fertilization, and mass amount of hormone therapy leading up to the procedure. She also had to undergo different medical and psychological tests in order to ensure that she was mentally stable enough to be a surrogate mother for her daughter.

Casey said, “I thought, ‘Wow, three of the happiest days of my life were giving birth to my daughters’, and I thought I could choose to do this for someone I love.”

We all know that fiber is an important part of a balanced diet, but researchers are now saying that it can prolong life expectancy – particularly if the right kinds of fiber are eaten.

The findings are from the National Institutes of Health – AARP Diet and Health Study.

Researchers asked a large group of participants aged 50 to 71 what they had eaten over the course of a year and how often they ate it.

They then followed the participants for a further 9 years, in which time 20,126 of the men and 11,330 of the women passed away.

The findings showed that the 20% of participants who had a diet highest in fiber had a 22% lower risk of dying than those who ate less fiber.

Diets that were fiber-rich like trim life keto were linked with a lower risk of death from all causes, including infectious diseases.

Interestingly, the researchers found that the participants who consumed the most wholegrain foods were at the lowest risk of dying from all causes of death, including cancer and respiratory diseases.

One theory to explain this is that dietary fiber may have anti-inflammatory properties.

The wonders of DNA testing may soon be coming to a Duane Reade store near you as the company has started selling your own do-it-yourself DNA testing kit for $29.99.

The company Indentigene produces the kit and it’s the first time that it will be available in New York retail stores. The tests will be held at the stores themselves at their walk-in clinics and the final price tag will be around $300 with additional lab fees and charges added.

Identigene states that although the price is hefty, it still costs much more going if you go to a private lab.

Customers welcomed the new kits and are happy to see this new addition to the products displayed at the store. Likening the test to talk show tests that feature DNA such as the “Maury Povich” show, customers are commenting on the new product.

Due to NY State’s laws requiring that paternity tests be administered to only buyers with the authorization from a physician or lawyer and a witness by what is referred to as a disinterested third party.

To meet this requirement workers at the Duane Reade stores will act as such witnesses.

There is a new study which was recently released in the March issue of Pediatrics that states that energy drinks could prove to be very harmful for younger children.

The super-caffeinated drinks may cause more than just the jitters to some of those who drink them.

This study has examined the effects these drink can have on children, especially individuals who already have diabetes or various heart problems.

The drink industry claims that energy drinks do not have any more caffeine that a cup of coffee and that they are not very popular among young kids, though certain studies put the number of kids that regularly drink them as high as fifty percent.

They are apparently one of the fastest growing and very popular beverages in the U.S and an increasing number of parents are starting to watch out for them and warn their kids against the effects.

Jolt juice is one of the prime examples of these energy drinks and international sales are expected to jump to around $9 billion in this year alone. Doctors say that although these drinks are viewed as food supplements, they are anything but.

There has been a massive recall of almost several million Summer Infant video baby monitors which were supposed to provide parents with a visual of their child in order to keep them safe but it seemed to do just the opposite.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has released a statement claiming that some of the electrical wiring in the video baby monitors could be dangerous if they are placed in too close of proximity to the child’s crib.

The commission stated that one girl who was only 10 months old died in March of last year because she was essentially strangled by a cord from the video monitor because it was placed on the rail of the crib.

The company responsible for manufacturing the baby monitors, Summer Infant, are aware of the fact that another boy who was only 20 months old was very nearly strangled to death as well by one of the cords from the camera which was mounted to the wall in reach of the child who was in the crib.

Chairman Tenenbaum of the commission stated that placing electrical equipment with cords in reach of a child is always a bad idea and that the company was at fault jut as much as the parents.
