It is suitable for both initial installation and retrofitting. An adapter allows it to be combined with most standard locking systems. With the “BeCode air” version, the lock is opened and closed using a transponder. It is well-suited for use in buildings in which RFID systems have been installed for access control.

With discrepancies noted between scores for patient safety protocols and quality of the environment, healthcare designers shouldn’t be satisfied with only a passing grade.

A new website is available to help people in California compare insurance providers and hospitals, launched by the State of California Office of the Patient Advocate. The site (reportcard.opa.ca.gov) was created in advance of the implementation of healthcare exchanges, to help people navigate the options and make informed decisions on their care and insurance provider.
