    <description>Healing and transformation are available to us all. We can call upon our hearts to give us strength and guidance in all life's twists and turns.

Lots of good people are suffering now and many have suffered before. Buddha recognized suffering as a part of the human condition. But he also recognized that great joy was also available.

And this is what we find within the human heart. We find our physical bodies first of all. Feeling our bodies is healthful. We can access that by connecting with our breath and breathing more slowly and deeply.

As our meditation deepens we become aware of our heartbeat or pulse. We feel comforted by our own hearts. We may place our hands upon our hearts.

The heart calls us to action. To live with a purpose. How do we find this purpose? We can find it by meditating regularly, in silence, centered in the heart. 20 minutes per day is a good regular practice. Mornings or evenings are good times.

It's easy to be caught up in a life of urgency but not importance. We need to distinguish between what's urgent and what's important. Your heart knows what this is.

There's an emotional component to the heart that comes in heart rhythm practice. The heart is the center of your emotional body and we learn to send breath into those emotions, whatever they are. We remember that we are in control of our emotions through control of our breath.

As our practice deepens, we connect with the One Being, Spirit, God, whatever you prefer to call it. 

There is great peace here and as our meditation ends gently we can then carry the peace of our hearts with us into our days and radiate it out to others.

So shift your attention to your heart and start to think of your identity as emanating from the heart. Who you are is in your heart. Feel that and see if it has a ring of truth for you.

Much study has been done on the intelligent heart and we now know that the heart is the key rhythmic, electromagnetic pace-maker that affects our bodies, minds and emotions.

By learning how to key into your own heart, how to center in your heart, how to simply be in your heart, you will begin to shift your sense of self directly to your heart.

And this is exactly the place to be right now. Because from the heart comes your greatest wisdom and intelligence and the ability to meet life authentically and energetically.

Think of your main energy center as the heart. Because it is.

    <description>A healthy heart rate for an adult is normally withing 60-100 beats per minute (bpm). But to better understand what is going on inside your heart you need to understand heart rate variability.

What HRV represents is the beat-to-beat changes in heartrate. The heart is constantly speeding up and slowing down. It doesn't beat at the same exact pace all the time. If it did we'd be flatlining which is not a good thing.

And so this rhythmic, changing heart rate is encoded with great insight and information about our inner selves.

In fact we can see our emotional state by looking at our heart rhythms. If we are stressed out our heart rhythms are disordered and irregular. The heart spikes up or down which increases stress on the heart.

But when the heart is feeling peace or coherence the heart rhythms become regular. Our heartrate becomes slower and more rhythmic. This is called coherence.

So get to know your heartrate better and go deeper into the information that your heart beats out to you all the time.
