Heads Up! Another Celebrity XanGo user is here... Meet Won-G!! =) A Haitian-born rapper/tycoon. I honestly haven't heard of him before... not until the day I found out he's a XanGo member... then I searched for him on the net, and viewed his videos on YouTube. Pretty cool guy! His hit song, "Caught Up in the Rapture" has a danceable beat that grows on you.. the kind that sticks to your head, and makes you wanna go out there and partaayy! Few MC's can claim the accomplishments of Won-G, the Haiti Boy. His 10-year music career, during which he's released five independent albums, has culminated in his label deal with Sanctuary Urban Records helmed by Mathew Knowles. When at home in Beverly Hills, he drives around in his Rolls Royce Phantom or one of his new custom Hummers; when he's on the road, he travels in his self-owned tour bus.

This lead single finds Won-G pouring out his liquid wordplay over vocals from rising Argentinian superstar, Gizelle D’Cole. A Latin version of Madonna, Gizelle is destined to travel all corners of the world with the Haiti Boy. The hardcore, pulsating "Blind Man" and the Caribbean-inspired "I'm A Haitian" address prejudice against Haitians at home and abroad while offering some of the historical accomplishments of his beloved homeland, Haiti, the world's first Black Republic in 1804.

"This is my first major release as far as national MTV, BET and radio play are concerned," says Won-G. "Even though we have a pop crossover record for the masses, we're still keeping the streets on lock. And we're still keeping that underground Haitian community satisfied with our Creole, French, and Spanish records. I try to stay as close to the Haitian community as possible because, first and foremost, they are my people and they have shown me incredible support over the years."

From what I heard, he doesn't use foul language in his songs... and he might appear at XanGo's 6th Annual Anniversary Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah next month!! Dang, I soo wanna go there.. =D

Breakfast Meeting with Mr. Bryan Davis

The day after the Sept13 meeting, my family and I, along with some of our leaders, met with Bryan Davis for breakfast at the Marco Polo Hotel Pool Lounge. Bryan is one of the Board Members/Founders of XanGo, LLC -- the person in-charge for billion-dollar international contracts, legal arrangements, meetings with government officials and the likes. Impressive, huh? Having the chance to have breakfast with him -- given the fact that we live in Asia, plus he has a super hectic schedule -- isn't exactly an everyday-kind-of opportunity. So we consider ourselves lucky.

Hotels really charge everything so high, don't they? hehe Everything on the breakfast menu was priced Php 200+. Whether it may be bread, fruits, pancakes, or a complete meal! And yup, I did opt for the complete meal - better value for money. ;) But it was all worth it -- I was soo full!

Anyways, a lot of issues were brought up and tackled that day. Future plans were also discussed... but I prefer to keep the details confidential for now. It was a wonderful, enlightening, and yummy Sunday morning. =)

Meeting the Diplomat

The rain was heavy, but the meeting went on! More than 200 people attended XanGo's Corporate-sponsored City Meeting last Sept 13 at the Marco Polo Hotel, Davao City, Philippines. The number of attendees (despite the weather condition) justifies the distributors' dedication to the company, and reflects the growing attention XanGo is getting from the general public.

A simple meeting with a great impact- that's what it was. Bryan Davis was very precise on his presentation about the company's profile, achievements, and future goals. As a finale, I played a video showing how our family began with our XanGo journey, what we've been through, and thanked all the people who were and who are still part of our XanGo story. Food was served. Everybody had a chance to taste XanGo Juice. Pictures were taken. Everyone went home happy - with renewed hopes and bigger dreams.

We've all heard about the Amazing Race - the reality tv game show in which teams of two people race around the world in competition with other teams, striving to arrive first at "pit stops"to win prizes, and to avoid getting the possibility of being eliminated. The contestants travel to and within different countries, seek clues, perform challenges, move around under time pressure with the ultimate goal in mind: winning the grand prize, which is usually a million dollars.

And then there's Formula One Racing, a.k.a. F1. It is the highest class of open wheeled auto racing defined by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), motorsport world's governing body. The F1 world championship season consists of a series of races, known as Grands Prix, the most famous of which is the Monaco Grand Prix in Monte Carlo. The results of each race are combined to determine two annual World Championships, one for drivers and one for constructors. The winners for each Championship wins their respective prize, and takes pride in knowing that in speed and precision, they're number one.

The 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China, from Aug 8-24 showcases a variety of "races". It has 28 sports (Aquatics, Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Boxing, Canoeing, Cycling, Equestrian, Fencing, Field Hockey, Football, Gymnastics, Handball, Judo, Modern pentathlon, Rowing, Sailing, Shooting, Softball, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Triathlon, Volleyball, Weightlifting, and Wrestling) - not all of which can be classified in the "racing" category, but in a larger view, the countries involved are all racing for gold.

XanGo Malaysia Turns One!

It's been a year since XanGo entered the Malaysian market! Just recently, they celebrated their First Anniversary at the fifth tallest tower in the world - the KL Tower (421m high).

The KL Tower is used mainly for communication purposes, but it also contains a revolving restaurant on the upper area, providing diners a beautiful view of the city - and yup, including a nice view of the Petronas Towers (451.9m high). You could see KL and Petronas in the first picture above. (And one side of the Petronas tower in the second picture.) It's a great place for a special event.

XanGo Malaysia's "Birthday Party" meant lots of good food, great entertainment (traditional Malaysian Cultural dancers, and a live band), and XanGo Malaysia's top leaders (Steve Tan and Subass Chandran, among others) and guests - all in one place, one night, one celebration.

XanGo Leaders from the US also came: Sherman Unkefer, Sharron Sharif, and James Stanford. One of the Founders, Gordon Morton, was there. Tai Tolman, the General Manager for Asia Pacific was also present during the event that lasted til late at night.

XanGo... in Playboy?

Yup, I know. It sounds a little strange. :) But yes, it was published in Playboy a year ago. I rummaged through my old files, and I found this Adobe-formatted article. From what I can remember, this was sent to me by email. And I guess I haven't written about this in my blog yet.. so I'm sharing it now.

It's a six-paged file. Sorry, clicking on the image above won't make it any larger. hehe The blank spots on page 5 and 6 probably showed sexy ads, and were probably deleted by the email's sender. :) It's an article about the author's quest on finding truth behind XanGo - which involved having to attend XanGo meetings, listening to user testimonials, and traveling all the way to XanGo's headquarters in Utah to see if the company truly exists, and to meet with no less than one of the company's Founders, Mr. Joe Morton himself.

Since this is an old file, note that the bottle's design is different. That's the previous look. Some features of the bottle were changed last August of 2007, as part of the company's continued growth. You can read about the XanGo bottle here.

Yup. IBS. Mangosteen is good for the digestive system. In fact, the fruit's rind has been used as a treatment for diarrhea since long ago. Ask my mom! She said she remembers seeing her mom keep the mangosteen rind, in case someone in the family gets diarrhea. That was when my mom was still a kid. Hehe And it wasn't just my grandmother.. a lot of the old folks did that. :)

Yep. It's not a pyramid scheme. A pyramid scheme is illegal, and it's one with no product at all.

By monstrous, he meant "huge", right? Not "monster-like". haha! Well if anybody hates his/her job, he/she can always try to find a new one... or if the root problem is insufficient salary, then one may want to opt for another income. XanGo can be done by anyone with a job, or without it... students can do it... working class can do it... unemployed and zero-income people might as well do something... and XanGo is a good option. :)

I never knew Gordon Morton was fat... hehe but I haven't seen him years back, and I haven't seen his slides either. But yup, he does look like a man on a GQ cover.. today. :) And the story about his daughter is cute. In our house, XanGo is also the first thing in mind whenever we feel unwell.

Virginia reminded me of Adam. hehe If you're reading.. hi Adam! :) The comparison is quite impressive huh.. That's a lot of XanGo... and with 5% of the sales alloted for charities, a lot of people's lives were improved. It's definitely one way to make a difference.

By the way, since the publication was Playboy, I was actually expecting to see a testimonial on a guy's sexually-related problem and XanGo made him feel better. haha But yeah.. I hear success stories like that from local XanGo users, too. :)

On the 25th of February 2008, Emily Payne, a writer of The Sun newspaper, wrote that the English model, Kate Moss, being a "party-girl" is planning to swap her fatty, greasy hangover foods for healthier options. The article didn't say a lot about Kate, though. The writer focused more on the Fit Squad's simple party girl diet tips. She did, however, leave this question: "She likes to party... but can Kate be healthy too?"

A month after, an article about Kate's new passion came out... Guess what?? Yup! The Mangosteen juice. The article suggested Kate fell in love with the juice because of it's exotic taste and fragrant aroma. It doesn't surprise me at all. A model is expected to look good, and to feel good. Mangosteen is known for it's anti-aging and energy-giving properties (among others) so it all fits perfectly... model + mangosteen (beauty regimen) = better model. hehe Below is a picture of Kate, and her new anti-aging regime. Anjo Leung), an actor in Hong Kong, is a XanGo distributor. He's also in the May 2007 issue of the Asia GO Magazine (with me on the cover... hehehe). Hello everyone!

Wow! My last entry was three months ago! But technically, since it's the 1st of July now, so that would be four months ago.. (who knew a day difference would make it sound even worst ^_^). I lost my net connection again, and I just had to enjoy summer!! I had drafts lined up, though.. so you might be surprised to see 5 new old entries soon.. hehehe.

Ohhkaay.. Since I was out too long, I still have to see where I have to begin. And while I'm sorting things out, I'd like to share what had happened in the past three (or four) months in my life, and all over the Philippines.

Last April, I traveled to Cagayan de Oro City with my boyfriend, along with his family - parents, younger sister, younger brother, younger brother's girlfriend, their cousin, and their uncle - who drove us
all the way from Davao City to CDO City. It was a 7-hour drive, approximately, and we were elbow-to-elbow, shoulder-to-shoulder, cheek-to-cheek. Nah.. not cheek-to-cheek. ^_^ hehe We had to stick to a certain position for hours, and eventually try to get a chance to stretch out our muscles a tiny, little bit if the ride gets bumpy - and the ride never did get bumpy. But we swayed to the car's motion.. as the car zig-zagged smoothly in the long stretch of curved roads. It was fun. The drive was long, the music was soft, and the ride was smooth.

His uncle's family was very generous to let us stay at their house for a while.. even more generous to serve late night snacks.. and breakfast the following day.. and not-to-mention they prepared nice, clean, warm rooms for us. We went to Camiguin Island the day after - the highlight of the trip. We drove for about an hour to get to the dock, and rode a ferry to get to the Island. The sea was a little wild... we're glad we made it safely to the island, located approximately 90 km above CDO. We were lucky Typhoon Frank (or Typhoon FengShen) was a month late. Although at that time, judging by the strong winds and high tide, he was probably undergoing an extensive training, as religiously as Pacquiao was doing, mustering up all the strength so he could capsize the MV Princess of the Stars off the coast of San Fernando, Romblon on June 22, 2008. =( It was a sad day for everyone.. Pacquiao won though.. and a lot celebrated.. So did anybody here win a bet? :) I heard a lot of Filipinos were at Vegas to witness the event.. Hehe Oh-kay.. I'm drifting farrr away from my topic again.. Told ya, I have to sort things out... XD I still have my summer hangovers.. :)

Daniel has more than 20 years of experience in different facets of the network marketing industry, on both the corporate and distributor side. Believe it or not, at age 25, he started his own distributor business and built an organization of more than 50,000 distributors worldwide!

Daniel received his bachelor's degree in Applied Chemistry from Tamkang University in Taiwan and studied MBA courses at the same university.

Ryan Anderson to Manage Australia, New Zealand and The Philippines

In addition to retaining his position as country manager for the Philippines, Ryan Anderson takes Glen Oliver's previous position as country manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Ryan joined XanGo three and a half years ago, and has played a pivotal role in the company's success. He worked with various departments to provide premium services to distributors. He held several roles in Operations where he implemented improvements and cost efficiencies with XanGo's transportation, raw supply purchasing, and international warehousing. He also was instrumental in setting up XanGo's European distribution system and opened logistical systems for four international markets. He then later on joined international as the assistant country manager for the Philippines and Hong Kong, and was eventually named as the country manager for the two countries.

He has helped develop new distributor leaders and improved business practices to ensure market growth. XanGo is confident that he will apply the same skills in the Australian and New Zealand markets - to achieve continued growth and profitability.

With the diversity, and hectic flights that naturally come with this new responsibility, we are confident that Ryan will manage quite well as he has lived in three different countries, and visited 18 others. Congratulations, Ryan! =)

Glen Oliver to Manage Canada

After spending years making Australia and New Zealand one of XanGo's fastest growing and most profitable markets, Glen Oliver has been named country manager for Canada. He has been instrumental in working to ensure the success of many of XanGo's international market openings. As a country manager for Australia and New Zealand, he helped develop strong distributor leaders that have pushed these markets to more than 300 percent growth.

As country manager for Canada, Glen will be responsible for market profitability, overseeing all activities such as leadership development, sales, events and every other business function within the market. Glen will bring his strategic business and management skills to help propel Canada forward as one of our largest international markets.

His international experience and knowledge of the industry make him the perfect fit for this new position. Plus, he is a native Canadian... and that is an advantage.

XanGo distributors from Mexico to Malaysia competed for a $10,000 Grand Prize in the contest to find the most creative and entertaining under-three-minute productions that feature real-life XanGo stories, insights and experiences. More than 200 entries and from more than 20 international markets put their XanGo stories and inspirations into short films.

"XanGo.TV has sparked a grassroots marketing revolution and set a new industry standard for distributor recognition and communication. XanGo.TV has mobilized nearly one million distributors globally to share their stories in this exciting medium. The Xan Go.TV Awards Show honors the passion, vision and storytelling in this terrific compilation of distributor-produced videos," said John Digles, XanGo Chief Marketing Officer and XanGo.TV Awards host.

Judged by the XanGo.TV Awards Guild (the company's six founders and Digles), the XanGo.TV Awards gave First Place to "Go XanGo with the XanGo Kids" by the Messenger Family of Colorado Springs, Colo. I was browsing through the XanGo News Center website a while ago.. and I found this article. I thought I'd share it with you guys. It makes one XanGo Distributor even prouder. =)

LEHI, UT – Jan. 24, 2008 – Global nutritionals leader XanGo, LLC, received Virgo Publishing's inaugural "Focus on the Future" Humanitarian Award for its support of XanGo Goodness. Since the company's founding in 2002, XanGo has contributed to global humanitarian causes that benefit children and families in need.

The Registration Area: Everyone received XanGo pens, XanGo notebooks, brochures and DVDs!

The room was filled with doctors, nurses, med reps, PTs, med techs, etc - people from the medical field! Dr. Templeman's a very brilliant speaker!

The food was great, too! From the soup all the way to the dessert. YUM!

The Corporate City Meeting

We occupied a place called "The Deck", located at the 4th floor of The Marco Polo Hotel - such a lovely place! :) Roughly 300 people attended. We're soo glad it didn't rain that night.

Look at all the happy faces! :) Mr. Ryan Anderson was a remarkable speaker! There was a XanGo Juice Parade. The waitresses lined up in front of the audience, took a bow, and began distributing the juice to each and every guest. Can you find Dr. Templeman in the picture? Yup, that's him in the first row.

Ms. Carol Cabacungan, our country coordinator did a great job with the hotel reservation, and all the banquet preparations (we had high-end cocktail!). Thanks, Ms. Carol! :) She's the lovely woman on the top left corner of the picture above.

Philippine Pricing Change

Great news for Filipinos!! Starting February 1st, a box of XanGo Juice (that's 4 bottles) would only cost Php 6,000 for will call orders, and Php 6,500 for delivered ones! The company made some operation changes so they could reduce the price of the product, as some people find it quite expensive. A lot of consumers would definitely be happy... so spread the word! :D
