The Flowing River of Life

So beautiful it is to be out in nature, to hear and see the movement of life:) As the river flows...our minds and hearts receive the visionary blessing of nature. In it's purest and truest form, we can enjoy the creation of life and interaction we are aloud to be a part of.

When is the last time you got out, spent some time by the river? Maybe...now is the time, to have some peace by the river of life:)

What an enjoyable day we had this day! Hope for a day like this for you, soon:)

It Has Been Some Time, Since I've Blogged A Message:)

I am so sorry, I haven't written anything new here for a while? That doesn't mean that the pen has been at rest:) The cares of this world, have really put a damper on me...lately. I have let myself get too caught up, in what's happening in the world around us! I think my head has been spinning too long. I stepped off the merry go round, and got on some solid ground. Looking up, gaining strength from our God above! Spring is here, and summer is on it's way! Flowers and more flowers blooming to brighten our days, and the air filled with such fragrant beauty:) Need to get outside more and enjoy this fresh air that we have, for as long as we have it? I know we all can take our days for granted at times, and not focus on the important matters of life...and why we live it:) The freedom to write and express our feelings, is such an awesome gift..we have in America! I know one day, our freedoms will be taken away...and we will miss our freedom of speech. So I encourage you writers, to continue to write as long as you have the ability to write.

We all have a message to share, a story to be told. Encouraging others along the way, our hearts are lifted, and our wounds are mended. On your next nice day, take your laptop, ipad, writing tablet to the outdoors, and breathe in some fresh air! Enjoy the sunshine and fragrance of the flowers, as you write. Write until your heart is content:) As I write this, I am committing myself as well...to do this very thing 8-) To get out of my box, and write outdoors. While encouraging you, you are encouraging me! Have a Sunshine of a Day!

Don't Give Up Hope!

Today, I have to say, I am actually enjoying cleaning the house, doing laundry, cooking, all the wifely responsibilities. So thankful, I am able to be home. There was a time in my life, I thought I would never be able to be home, just work, work, work.

God is so gracious, whatever you are going through in your circumstances of life...it may seem like nothings going to change. Don't give up, have faith, God will come through. The more you are going through now, the more He will restore to you later, in every area of your life:) Just keep looking to God for your strength, He will pull or carry you through.

We have allot to be thankful for:) May God Bless You Richly!

My Flesh and My Heart Faileth?

I was reading some scripture today, and my heart was so thankful God is so gracious to His Children:)

Psalm 73:26, 28

My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever.

But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all Thy Works.

There was a time in my life, when the more I tried to draw close to God, the further He seemed away. I know now it was the enemy (Satan) who did not want me, to be close to God. What I did, is I found a scripture, that would help me rely on God's promises...in His word.

I started memorizing scripture, the first I found to apply to my everyday life, was Joshua 24:15. At the beginning I only memorized a portion of this scripture and that was "choose you this day whom ye will serve;" When ever I faced a decision in my day, on what to do, I would quote this portion of scripture in my mind, then think about, will this decision reflect God, will this choice be good for me?

Here I will show you the whole scripture: "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

There is so much more in the following scriptures, so many stories to read in the Bible.

Back to the topic at hand...here are the next few verses, I memorized to help me draw close to God:)

James 5:8 "Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. vs9: "Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness." vs10: "Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up."

Psalm 28:7 "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise Him."

Psalm 18: 6 "In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: He heard my voice out of His temple and my cry came before Him, even into His ears."

Psalm 121: 1-2 "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help." vs 2: "My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth."

As I was searching through-out my Bible, my heart was so touched, by His words:) I felt like I was reading a love story...and I was. The Bible is a love story, it tells of His Love for you and I, and He warns us of things to come. He prepares our hearts, and shows us His ways. He loves us so, it hurts and grieves His heart, when we go about our own ways, which are harmful not only to us physically but spiritually.

May God Bless you as you read His Words:) Anytime spent in reading His word, is time stored up in Heaven for you:) Your time with Him, is all He wants! So amazing, He wants a relationship with us? I hope and pray your day is blessed and your heart is touched by God Himself:)

Time, is of the Essense!

Haven't been spending enough time in The Word! What a difference it makes in our daily lives, when we have our time with God:) He is the most important part of our Day!

Meditating on His Words, not the thoughts and temptations of this world. Wow, this is cool, just noticed something about that last sentence. You know how our enemy never has an original thought of his own, and wants to duplicate God, in everything. Satan will take what God has done and add to it. So for instance speaking of God and His Words, and Satan's temptations of this world...notice how similar the words are between the two? How Satan's words are the temptations of this world, not the pure word of God.

Notice below, how the original words....His Word and this world are changed by one letter in each word.

God
His Word
purity of truth
gives life to the soul
exposes the lies of the enemy

Satan
this world
lies of deception
gives death to the soul
adds to or takes away from the truth of God

Just as one event or one person can make a difference in our lives, so it is the difference when we choose to follow God's ways rather than Satan's ways!

Both have different agenda's to life, and the destiny of our souls!

Fingerless Gloves

Been knitting away, my first obsession was purses, then scarves, now fingerless gloves. I didn't realize how comfortable they are, and how they warm you up, just enough. I remember in the old days, they would call them hobo gloves!

I know someone who buys regular gloves in the thrift store, she purposely cuts the fingers off. She likes the the comfort and not worrying about them getting ruined. When they wear out she just throws them away, and gets some more for .15 or .25cents.

These knitted fingerless gloves, I have to say are nicer than, those .15-.25 make shift gloves. Surprisingly, how many people are attracted, to want to get a pair themselves...when they see the ones I've been wearing.

So now I have a way to support my habit:) Knitting habit that is, selling a few gloves, scarves will help reimburse me for the money spent on yarn over the years. It is funny though, just like a beader or a scrapbooker, they never have enough beads, never have enough scrapbooking materials:) Right!

Well, better jump off here, for now, but would love to hear comments or followers who are knitters at heart. For those who love to knit not only yarn, but God's love in their hearts and others...well this is an added bonus:) "Have a Blessed Day!"

Was able to offer some family members for Christmas, their personal choice of a scarf. They loved them, this not only added warmth for them, but added warmth to my heart. It made me feel good, to know they appreciated them so much, and realized how much work and love went into them.

Little do they know, that this coming Christmas, they will most likely get some fingerless gloves to match their scarves:) This is my goal anyway!

A Life Designed by God - Book Review

Many may not have heard about this book? Yet it is really awesome:) I gave this book to a young man, and he said he couldn't put it down until he read 50 pages. "A Life Designed by God", gives you a whole different perspective about how you look from God's point of view. How He knew and created your life before you were ever a thought in your Mother's mind:)

The first chapter is titled: Your Days are Written: "Every adversity you will ever face, has already been provided for, but you must choose to enforce what Jesus has done and overcome the work of the devil that attempts to hinder God's design. He is the Creator; you're the enforcer. You're called to be an imitator of God. You are called to your promised land, not to the land of mediocrity. We serve a God who is more than enough! So, don't compromise His Greatness settling for marginal progress and average thinking."

This paragraph gives you a taste of how the book is written. I will write more later. I have really enjoyed too, reading this book:) Oh the author is: "Danny Diaz", personally I had never heard of him, but he is from Ponoma California.

Is What You Believe Bringing You Closer to Those You Care About?

Are your beliefs driving a wedge between you? Is there love and compassion in you for others in spite of what they do or what they believe? In the old days, it didn't matter if you believed differently than your family or friends, you could still talk about it, even have a debate about how you feel. At times we may decide to just agree to disagree. But we didn't turn our backs on each other.

Our differences did not separate us from our family. It just made life a little more interesting. We accepted that people are the way they are and they are not going to change unless they want to. (Even if it would be for the better.) "Blood was thicker than water they would say." "A friend closer than a brother?" You've heard it before. I just challenge you to keep the windows and doors open with those you care about. Just because they believe different or don't act the way you do, doesn't mean their any less of a person. We all have our faults, yet family should be able to speak their mind and not offend one another. It is ok, for us to have a different perspective. Our experiences in life will give us that. We can learn from each other even if we don't agree.

To keep the communication open with those close to us, does take work. We can get so busy, we loose track of time. When someone comes across your mind, or has been heavy on your heart take time right then to contact them in someway. Send them a text, make a phone call, write a note, see if they are free for lunch.

Maybe it is time for us to make a point to invite them to over for dinner. If they live out of the area, maybe they would make a point to visit, if we sincerely asked them to. I know their are times when family or friends choose themselves to remove contact with us. That is their choice. I know too, first hand there are times no matter how hard you try to keep the door open it is shut. In these cases, I did everything I could, the ball is in their court now. I have learned in time that I can not harbor any bad feelings, because the door is not two way. Accepting the way things are, and moving on with no hard feelings may take some help. I had to depend on God to help change me in these circumstances. I could not do it on my own strength.

Keep things good with those you can? We were meant to be around others. That is also something I had to come to know for myself over time. Have a Blessed Day:) Keep Looking Up!

Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Time Changer

If you haven't seen the movie Time Changer, you might put it on your list. We've shared it with a few families, they loved it. One Teenager said it changed her life. She got her heart back on the right track, with The Lord. One person shared this movie with their pastor, and the pastor scheduled a movie night for the whole church to watch this movie and they served popcorn!! I guess it was quite the success, the movie went over real well.
