CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Use Your Stash!

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is to use something we haven't used from our stash. I don't think I've used the Lazy Daisy 3D embossing folder yet, and I think I only used one stamp in the Paradise Gardens bundle, so that's what I chose for today's card.

The Peaceful Pine background was embossed and adhered to the Golden Glow card base. Two of the dies in the Sweet Words & Labels dies were used on the Vellum and the Basic White backer. After stamping and die cutting the greenery and flowers, I added shimmery shadows with the matching Shimmer Brushes. (Love that stuff!)

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF923

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is a sketch:

On the Basic White card base was adhered Basic Beige that was embossed with the Paradise Garden embossing folder. Then the layers of Barely Blush, Basic White, and the Basic Beige stripe DSP were added.

I used the Lovely Arrangements bundle and stamped the flowers on Barely Blush cardstock, then filled them in with Barely Blush Stampin' Blends and cut them with the coordinating dies. The leaves were stamped in Granny Apple Green and also die cut. Then all were added to the card, glued and popped up, along with the greeting and In Color Dots.

I think these colors would be lovely on a wedding card!

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Cards for Guys

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is guy cards. The Gears & Textures bundle is great for the gear-heads that you may know. (And I may be related to a few, lol.)

I tried something with the new Impressions Plate, and it worked! I used the Gears & Textures dies with the plate to create an embossed background, and really like the way it turned out. If you want to try it, and have the Impressions Plate, this is the "sandwich" to use, building from the bottom up:

Base Plate #1 (platform)
Die Plate #2
Dies cutting edge face up
Cardstock laid on top of dies
Impressions Plate (the black rubbery one)
Specialty Plate #4

After embossing the Very Vanilla with the dies, I stamped some of the texture images and rubbed a little Lost Lagoon with sponge daubers to highlight the details. Then I cut three of the gears from the shimmer paper and adhered them over their impressed places.

That was matted on the Lost Lagoon striped pattern from Everyday Essentials DSP and then adhered to the card base. I added the birthday greeting from Phrases & Frames and a couple Lost Lagoon Matte Dots, and it was finished.

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF922

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge are happy, bright colors that made my mind immediately go to balloons, so the Balloon Festoon Bundle got some love:

For this card I cut the balloons in the three colors of cardstock, but also colored vellum with Stampin' Blends to make the translucent balloons.

The background confetti and stars were stamped to add to the festive feel. And, wouldn't you know it, the smaller Wonderful Stars Puffy Stickers exactly matched some of the stars, for more fun!

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is animals! Cutest Crew has the most adorable kitties, doggos, and feathered friends that it was hard to choose an animal for my card. But, since I have seven cats and only two dogs, the cats won. (Cats rule, dogs drool, if my feline overlords are to be believed, lol.)

I paired the kitties with the greenery patterns in the Moonlit Flora DSP because they're frolicking with butterflies, so they must be outside, right?

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF921

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is this sketch using torn layers. I like tearing so the white core shows. If you tear toward yourself, the core shows. If you don't want it to show, tear away from yourself. It gives two different looks!

For today's card I used the Fern & Floral Bundle, along with the gorgeous Moonlit Flora DSP. I love all the different greens in that pack. I think the only thing missing is Garden Green, lol.

The solid upper layer is Soft Sea Foam Two-tone cardstock - the lighter side face up on the card, and the greeting stamped and die cut from the darker side. It's subtle, but adds a little something. The fern leaves behind the floral image are cut from Old Olive and Mossy Meadow, with the little moths stamped in Soft Sea Foam beside them.

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is Sprigs & Twigs. The Delicate Whispers Bundle has lots of each!

After stamping, coloring and die cutting the flower, I added a little shimmer to the flower and leaves with the new In Color Shimmer Brushes, and the tiny Crisp Cantaloupe flowers as well.

The frame was cut with the Sweet Words & Labels Dies. There are so many cute labels in that pack!

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge are the colors:

I thought they'd make a great guy card, which I never seem to have enough of. Petal pink is more of a pale peach than a true pink, so I think it works!

I cut an arch in the Crumb Cake layer and embossed it with the plaid folder. A little Petal Pink was brushed on the card base to mimic an evening sunset glow behind the arch and Peaceful Pine leaves. The smallest arch was used for the greeting, with a bit of Crumb Cake baker's twine tied around.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - You Are What You Eat

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is You Are What You Eat. There is a serious shortage of food-themed stamps in my collection, so I was at a loss as to what I could make for this theme. Then I remembered the cake stamp in the Words & Wishes Bundle - saved by the cake! I'm not overly fond of cake, I'd rather have cookies or something savory. But I like this cake, since it saved my hide! 😂

I started with a Pool Party base and added a Pretty Peacock layer. On top of that was added the embossed Basic White layer. And on top of that was adhered the die cut layer which had a little Pool Party blended on. The birthday greeting and confetti were die cut and glued on with multipurpose glue. The cake was colored and die cut, but the candle had to be fussy cut. The cake is popped up on dimensionals.

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF919

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is a sketch, and I used three different packs of DSP to make it!

I started by adhering the layers (measurements given below), then coloring the bouquet image in the Artisan Sketched Garden pack and fussy cutting it. After cutting some Basic White with the medium dotted scallop die, I stamped the greeting and then popped it on dimensionals on the card.

The flower vase was also popped up, and a gold striped bow was added along with Calypso Coral Pearls of Beauty to match the Calypso Coral vase.

Card base: Darling Duckling 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored/folded at 4 1/4"
First layer: Basic Black 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"

Happy New Catalog!

Hello, Stamping Friends! I am so excited that we are "out with the old, and in with the new" catalog. Instead of one big annual catalog with two smaller seasonal ones, Stampin' Up! is moving to three medium catalogs per year, every four months, beginning with the new May-August 2026 that just went live.

I love the new layout! It is so much easier to find what you need with the full index in the back. And if there's something you're looking for that isn't in the catalog, most likely it has moved online, so be sure to check the online store.

One of the items in the new catty is the Opulent Oasis Bundle which includes new Impressions Dies. (You'll need the new Impressions Plate if you want to do the embossing.) It is so cool! First you die cut the design and leave the cardstock in the die*. Then remove the two clear cutting plates and place the die with the cardstock face up on the platform with the Thin Die Adapter. Lay the rubbery Impressions Plate on top and the rigid grey number 4 plate over it (that's the one used with 3D folders), and run it through the machine. The instructions with illustrations are included with the Impressions Plate. It should be noted that SU has teased that there will be more Impressions Dies in upcoming catalogs. I can't wait!

*I really love this Post-It tape (affiliate link) for holding dies in place when cutting things in my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. It can even be reused several times, so a roll lasts a very long time.

For this card, I used the die to emboss a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Basic White without cutting it out. Then I embossed another smaller piece to just get the flower and blended Bubble Bath and Golden Glow on it before fussy cutting it. I also blended Garden Green on some scraps for a lighter shade of green and die cut the leaves. The Garden Green greeting was cut with a Sweet Words & Labels die. There are so many awesome labels in that set! Did you notice the tiny heart cutouts? 💕

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Favorite New DSP

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is our favorite new DSP. If you’d asked me a couple weeks ago, my answer would have been something else entirely…. I'm fickle that way, lol. So this week my favorite is Scenic Coast Specialty DSP - the water reflections are a shimmery iridescent. So pretty IRL! And I absolutely LOVE how it is the perfect background for the Sunset Coast Bundle. I mean, WOW - add a few die cuts and a sentiment and you have a stunning masterpiece!

For today's project I tried the Faux Louver technique, with a little twist. Instead of cutting all the strips 1/2", I alternated 1/2" and 1/4", so I could space the 1/2" strips a little closer. For this technique, you'll use two identical pieces of DSP, cut the first piece of DSP in strips, then line alternate strips up (matching the design) over the second piece of DSP and adhere with dimensionals.

The Night of Navy sailboat die cut piece measures 3 1/4" x 4". I heat embossed the greeting first so I would know where to place the die. The inside was finished with a Night of Navy sentiment, and then the water, sailboats and sun stamps were inked lightly with sponge daubers before stamping the card liner.

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge are these colors:

I used this month's Product of the Month for the Daffodil Delight background. It's a lovely large die (approx. 4 1/4" x 6") called Eyelet Blooms, and you can get it for just $5 with a qualifying purchase, while supplies last. I backed it with white for a subtler look before adhering it to the Mossy Meadow layer.

The rose and leaves are in the boutique Blossoms Dies, and the greeting (and scalloped label) are in the Scalloped Blooms Bundle. After die cutting the rose, I used a sponge dauber to add more Poppy Parade around the edges, and a Poppy Parade Stampin' Blend to darken the lines. On the leaves, I just used a Stampin' Blend. A little twine bow and some rhinestones completed the card.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Favorite New In Color

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is our favorite new 2026-2028 In Color....and we can only choose ONE In Color. So not fair, because this year I love them all! But, since I can only choose one new In Color today, I have to go with Hydrangea Hue. (Big surprise, right, since it's blue? 💙)

Lucky for me, there are THREE patterns featuring only Hydrangea Hue in the new specialty DSP! Woohoo!!!

I wanted a lighter shade of Garden Green for the leaves, so I lightly brushed G.G. ink on some white cardstock until I had the shade I wanted, then cut it with the Scalloped Blossoms leaf die. Just for kicks, I also flicked G.G. ink spatters on the leaves for a little added interest. 😊

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is a sketch, and another opportunity for using DSP:

A Basic Beige panel was embossed and adhered to the card base first. Then, using the largest square Stylish Shapes die, the Brushed With Beauty DSP and Crisp Cantaloupe Pearlized Specialty Paper* were cut. A smaller square of DSP was adhered to the Crisp Cantaloupe before gluing it to the card under the die cut DSP.

I added a little more of that cantaloupe shimmer behind the greeting, along with a matching butterfly from the 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies*. I love how that new In Color coordinates so beautifully with the Brushed With Beauty DSP, even though it's not one of the colors listed!

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Fave New Catalog Stamp or Bundle

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is our favorite new stamp or bundle from the new May-Sep 2026 catalog. I have several, so today I'm using the Boutique Blossoms Bundle, along with the Scalloped Blooms Bundle which are both part of the gorgeous Bloom Boutique Suite.

The rose was stamped in Strawberry Slush and then colored with Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends. The little daisies were stamped in Pecan Pie (stamped off) and colored with Golden Glow Stampin' Blends.

The new Peaceful Pine 2026-2028 In Color really coordinates nicely with Soft Sea Foam. I used the Lovely Stripes 3D folder to add some texture to the Peaceful Pine background. It was matted on Basic White before being adhered to the card base. The dotted scallop die cut behind the rose, along with the greeting and tag, are in the Scalloped Blooms Bundle. Lots of lovely sentiments and dies!

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF916

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge are the colors Crumb Cake, Petal Pink, and Secret Sea. And wouldn't you know it, those colors are in the Lovely Blossoms DSP, which made this card super simple!

I used the third largest Everyday Arches die to cut the floral image, but first I laid the die on the image (letting the upper leaf hang out) and lightly traced the upper curve with a pencil. Then I carefully cut around the leaf up just slightly past the pencil mark. I placed the die on the image with the leaf poking above the die so it wouldn't get cut off, and used Post-It Tape to hold everything in place while going through the SCEM*.

Both of the background DSP are also found in the Lovely Blossoms pack. After putting the card together, I thought it needed a little more Secret Sea, so some In Color Flat Pearls were added.

This truly was such an easy card to make, and only required a few products. The only stamping was the greeting from Friendly Foliage!

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - All About Greetings

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is All About Greetings - making the greeting the focal point - which was easy to do with the Words of Beauty Bundle!

To make this card, I used some new products from the upcoming May-Aug 2026 catalog which begins May 5th. There are so many things I like about this catalog, beginning with the index in back making it super easy to find things!!

The Specialty DSP used here is from the Bloom Boutique Suite on page 16 of the new catalog. I'm sorry I didn't get the camera angle right for you to see the little gold foil accents; they are beautiful but subtle.

The Blueberry Bushel words are backed by Hydrangea Hue Pearlized Specialty Paper and the butterfly was colored with Blueberry Bushel and Hydrangea Hue as well.

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is a sketch...

...another great sketch that shows off beautiful DSP from the Brushed With Beauty pack. I picked the colors from the DSP to stamp the bloom in Calypso Coral, the flower center in Darling Duckling, and leaves in Mossy Meadow, as well as the strip of Calypso Coral cardstock between the DSP strips.

A little bit of texture was added by embossing the cardstock strip, and using the Spotlight on Nature die for the Mossy Meadow mat behind the image.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Repetitive Backgrounds

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is making a repetitive background using an image or greeting. One of the top items on my demonstrator preorder (from the upcoming May-Aug catalog) was the All Aflutter stamp and punch bundle because...butterflies!

I used the butterfly trio stamp for the repeating background with Golden Glow ink, stamped off once each time it was inked. Then the butterflies were stamped again with Memento ink, colored with the Golden Glow Stampin' Blends, punched with the coordinating punch, and popped up with dimensionals.

The DSP behind the butterflies was die cut with Scalloped Blooms Dies with one adhered to the card base with multipurpose glue and the top one popped up on dimensionals.

CSF Thursday Challenge - CSF914

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge colors are Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, and Granny Apple Green.

These lively, bright colors are perfect for floral images, so I put them to work on the beautiful Flowers Fair stamp. You can use it as a background stamp like I did last Saturday, or choose just part of the image, as I did here, to make a flower border.

The Crumb Cake stripe is part of the Brushed With Beauty DSP, and there's another pattern with the same colors that makes a great background! I stamped the greeting from A Round of Hellos directly on the DSP so it would circle the flower.

Since Stampin' Up! doesn't have a Crushed Curry Stampin' Blend set, the work-around is to layer Dark Darling Duckling and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends for a perfect curry!

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Spring Has Sprung

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is Spring Has Sprung, and I think it finally has, though we may get hit with another cold snap before Mother's Day. (Fingers crossed we don't!)

I chose the lovely Flowers Fair background stamp so that I could use all the SU purples on it because purple and yellow are so Spring-like. If you like to color, this stamp is so much fun! I've already colored more images to use on future cards.

And with Spring come the bees, which I am always happy to see busy on our fruit trees and blueberry bushes. So naturally I had to add lots of those little pollinators! 😊

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge is a sketch:

I just love the adorable Cutest Crew bundle! And how could you not have The Best Day frolicking with your canine and feline friends?!

The dog and cat stamps have longer images, so I carefully inked up just the part I wanted to use before stamping and coloring.

The calico kitty didn't turn out quite as I wanted, but I think it's still cute. We have not a single calico among our seven cats. Tortoise shell, Torbies (x 2), Gray, Black, and two Gingers that are the sweetest, most affectionate boys. I love them all!!!

CSF Saturday Blog Hop - Easter Bunny & Friends

Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is all about the Bunny and his buddies! I cut an opening in the Soft Sea Foam card front, and framed it with Country Woods DSP. Garden Green and Azure Afternoon were brushed on a Whisper White piece, and grass was cut (x 2) using the die, with more Garden Green brushed on. The grass was adhered first, with the brushed panel adhered behind.

Bunnies, chick, eggs, and flowers were stamped, colored, and die cut before being arranged on the card and adhered with multipurpose glue. The large bunny holding the egg was popped up on dimensionals, and Soft Sea Foam Hexagons added to the corners.

This week's Create With Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge are the colors Cloud Cover, Highland Heather, and Very Vanilla.

The Very Vanilla background was embossed before it was adhered to the Cloud Cover card base. The die cut Cloud Cover banners were adhered to the back of the Cloud Cover mat, which was then adhered to the card.

After stamping the floral image, it was die cut then colored with Stampin' Blends. The greeting was stamped before the piece was popped up over the mat. Purple Fine Shimmer Gems added more Highland Heather.
