Living chained up on a porch -- please help Blondie find a good home.

This sweet dog deserves a loving home. Found as a stray wandering the streets. She's being temporarily chained on a porch but they can't keep her much longer. Please don't let her go to the pound or animal shelter, she'll never make it out. "I'm a sweet, lovable dog looking for a forever home. I mind really well...unless I see a kitty. Then my legs take over cause I like chasing cats. They call me Blondie, but you can change my name, I won't mind as long as you love me.
I like taking walks on a lead, and I only bark if I need to. I don't bark a lot like other doggies, so I'm a great guard dog. The people that found me said I might be a bull terrier mix. I'm white and blonde with yellow-green eyes & long blonde eyelashes.
Right now I'm staying on a porch or driveway, but I have to be tied up. It's not too bad but sometimes I get sad. I'd rather be running and playing and loving my new family. I sure would be happy if you'd call the number listed and leave a message that you want me.
P.S. There's a bonus in it for you...I'll give you extra kisses."

His owner passed away, then Lucky lost his eye, and now is losing his new home.... please help this little boy!
Lucky is a darling boy who is just full of sloppy kisses and is never happier than when he is snuggled up getting a belly rub. He is very smart--when it's time for a walk, he brings his mom his leash. He absolutely loves to take walks and his next favorite pastime is to watch TV with his mom. At night, he sleeps at her feet. Lucky has no aggression. He adores other dogs and would love to have a canine companion. Lucky has had some major adjustments lately although he is such an easy going boy you'd never know it. First, earlier last fall, his longtime owner passed away and this poor boy was dumped in a kill shelter by the owner's children. Matted and scared, Lucky was rescued by PAWS.

He was quickly adopted and was happy in a loving new home. At a vet appointment to access his cherry eye, the doctor explained that poor Lucky had a badly infected eye and was likely in a great deal of pain and so PAWS arranged with the vet to have the diseased eye removed. Lucky adjusted well and gets along just fine but now, so sadly, he is losing his new adopter. For personal reasons, she is moving across country and cannot take him along. She is devastated to lose her companion and wants to know he is safe and loved in his new home. Lucky does have some separation anxiety so we are looking for a home with another dog or an adopter who is home a lot.

Tigger is approx 4yrs old and in urgent need of a forever home. His owner is elderly, terminally ill and no longer able to care for him. She has reached out for help placing him, as she does not want to surrender him to a shelter. Let’s share his story so we could find him a safe haven where he will be loved and cared for. Tigger never lived with dogs or cats. With a slow and proper introduction, he should adjust nicely with other pets since he is so docile. He has been exposed to children and is very gentle and accepting of their affection. Tigger loves to be pet, sit on your lap and even enjoys sleeping in bed. He is handsome and unique looking since he has half a tail. He was originally found as a stray that was hit by a car, treated for minor injuries and has lived indoor only since then.

Food Needed for Anne Marie’s Colonies…Tis the Season

You may have received an email from me in May regarding food donations for Anne Marie Buck’s Colonies…thanks to the MANY who donated food…the gratitude never ends…nor does the need for more food.

Six months have passed and with the dumping of more cats added to her 12 colonies…all of which she tests, spays and neuters…she has begun to run low on food for HER furies.

Last winter she ran very low and with the cold weather these babies need to be FED well!

She works 2 jobs, with one day a week off…IF that!

Her days begin at 4AM feeding her colonies…and many nights late after work when she needs to!

She had to have one of the kittens euthanized today due to a congenital issue….her tears broke me up…she takes each and every cat into her heart…of course she does!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO….I’d like to do another FOOD Bank for Anne Marie at this time of GIVING….

A kinder, more devoted woman I’ve yet to meet!

(I am fortunate to know many as kind, I might add!)

Owner died 2 years ago-these cats have been alone since then-home being sold now!! Located in Queens and will go to NYACC if taken!

2 cats in need of adoption/loving home. A brother and a sister from same litter-Topsy and Mopsy about 10/11 years old. Declawed. One colored like an orange creamsicle and one is black/gray/white combo.

Cats have been living together in home with owner all their life. Owner, a nice elderly lady who always cared for cats, died 2 yrs ago and they have been living in isolated rooms (now basement) of house ever since as home has been updated to sell.
House has been sold recently and now time is of essence to find these beautiful cats a loving home. The new owner will likely put these poor sweeties out on the street or into kill shelter.

They are very sweet/loving, spry & energetic cats, yet understandably a little shy/fearful lately, as they've been alone virtually for two years since owner died.
A friend has been going to the home every day for two years to feed.

Cats appear to be in good health, though no updates on medical since owner passed. Person taking care of cats to feed says will pay if any needed medical expenses.

“A very dear friend of mine is being forced to put her 3 year old cat to sleep on Monday, October 26th because she doesn't have the $3,000 to pay for his surgery. Please read this story and consider donating. Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated. Her selfless daughter already gave up her sweet 16, so that they could pay the previous $1800 bill to try and help him. Please... help me to help them!

Jasper's family has until Monday, October 26th to raise $3,000 or they will be forced to put him to sleep. He is only 3 years old and suffering with urinary stones that are blocking him from urinating on his own. He needs a surgery called penile urostomy or a PU done in order to save his life. Jasper was originally brought to the hospital because he was blocked by stones and needed a 3 day urinary catheter placed to help him urinate. After the three days, the catheter was pulled and he was able to urinate on his own. He was also put on special food in hopes that the stones would not come back. Sadly, that didn't last and he was re blocked. He was only able to urinate around his blockage, which caused him to strain again and urinate blood. His family is not able to afford the surgery and needs our help. Their daughter is distraught about losing Jasper. She loves him so much that she told her parents that she wanted them to use the money for her sweet sixteen to go towards Jasper's previous $1800 bill. This money covered hospitalization, procedures, and special food. She already gave up her sweet 16, we can't ask her to give up on her best friend. Owner losing her home on September 10- she is in desperate need to rehome her 2 dogs.

Here is the Bio for Franklin and Woodstock: 2 male dogs 7 years old Franklin (Boxer/Lab) and Woodstock (Lab/Corgi) Franklin is fawn colored and Woodstock is yellow lab coloring. They are both neutered and micro chipped. Weighing approx. 65-70 lbs. each. They are house and crate trained. They don't like fireworks or thunderstorms, just cover crate and they are happy. They are good on a leash, love to go for a walk. Good in a car, but really not use to it. They can be active or couch potato. They love to play in the yard with a ball, chew toys, Nyla bone, even an ice box or just eating carrots. They are inside dogs. They would be better off with adults/older teens or even a single person or couple. Takes them a little time to warm up to people before showing love and dedication to them. Not good with cats or small animals. Both are neutered, and have always been healthy and are up to date on their shots. They don't like getting their nails cut. They know their basic commands. Just looking for someone to give them attention and love they deserve. Together or apart I think anyone would be lucky to have them. PLEASE!!!

Sept 16, 2015: Additional Information on Rocky and LUCY!

“Rocky is the grey male cat. He is appx 4 years old. Lucy is the white female. She is 2. Both are declawed and fixed and up to date on shots. They went to Colchester Veterinary Hospital and I have a file that my mom left with all of their info in it.

Rocky is a loving and overly friendly cat. He loves to be with people and snuggle and is a pure joy. My mom rescued him. He comes when he is called, chirps and purrs often. He loves deli... meat and lettuce and potato chips. He is very protective of his little sister Lucy but not in an aggressive way.

Lucy is also very loving however she can be a little bit more shy and timid while she is getting acquainted with someone. She watches Rocky interact with you and if he trusts you she slowly comes to you and then exhibits similar traits. She is a diva. She walks like a princess and has very feminine qualities. She also loves to be snuggled and around people.

I would prefer them to be adopted together into a home with no dogs. If the home has other cats they will adjust fine.

They are both box trained. Neither marks or has accidents. They have been through trauma and are currently living in my office secluded from my dogs and they have not had one accident.”

Of all of my mom’s belongings these two cats were her most precious and I want them to be loved as she loved them.

A kind man once took care of 13 cats. He was forced out of his home. An animal rescue group came and got the 13 cats. They found homes for 9 of them. These last four are desperately in need of a home!!! They do not need to stay together. They are all super friendly and up-to-date on all things vet. There's a $300 stipend for food that comes with each one.

PLEASE CONSIDER GIVING ONE OF THEM A HOME…time is NOT on their side now…

Please HELP!! A Desperate Situation!! They have NO Hope unless they can find Homes or Fosters…

Chester, Cooper, Casey, Charlie, Cleo, Carey, Carson and Carlo…All Names are listed on Attachment Line…PLEASE refer to them by name for interest or questions…this is another very sad tale…
***These 8 cats lived indoors in a garage their whole lives and lost their only person and home end of July after the home was sold. They were living with an unstable person. Now, after being trapped and transported to a very temporary foster home, the foster is VERY impatient to have these cats out of his home! Once again, the cats are AT RISK!! EXTREME!

Seven of these cats LOVE ATTENTION and AFFECTION!! Even roll over for belly rubs. ~ALL are between 6-8 yrs old and fixed.
~7 Males, neutered years ago - All Friendly!!
~1 Female, CLEO: recently spayed & vetted (tested Neg for FiV/FeLV, no fleas/mites). She will need a patient cat savvy owner that's ok with a basically under socialized indoor adult cat. This cat would do better in a home with another cat as she will likely bond better with another cat rather than a person. Has not allowed petting in her current foster home.

~as far as Dogs, they are "probably" dog-TOLERANT, as they were sometimes around dogs but not in the same living space.
They are ALL in need of more PERMANENT situations!! However, Even help with ONE or TWO will make a difference!
ADOPTION preferable, but placement in a solid FOSTER home or NO KILL shelter or sanctuary also desirable!!
PLEASE, it is URGENT that they leave their TEMP FOSTER as soon as possible, and if EVERYONE could please SHARE and TAG their friends, families, fellow rescue folks/groups that might POSSIBLY help, it would be greatly appreciated!

TANGO & CASH - Two starving puppies need your help... now.

*From Noah's Ark Rescue: BENNETTSVILLE, SC.....Puppies are always the sweetest little Angels walking the face of this Earth. Even when they chew up something, we love them anyway. All they want to do is run, play, sleep and eat. How anyone could sit back and allow innocent puppies to starve to death and suffer is something I will never be able to comprehend. Tango and Cash were picked up as strays and taken to The Humane Society of Marlboro County. Tango, the brown puppy, was not strong enough to even stand up. The Vet said this is the worst case of Mange and abuse he has ever seen in puppies. These two sweet pups are only ten weeks old and look like they are old and ancient. The pictures I received did not even begin to describe the horror these babies had endured. I immediately had then taken to our Vet where they were put in Critical Care.

Tango is the worst and is barely holding on. He has already had a transfusion and is on a daily amount of Hetastarch to stabilize his blood levels. Sweet little Cash is anemic but does not require a transfusion at this time. Both pups are loaded with intestinal parasites that are taking large amounts of their blood to survive. The Mange is so bad that the skin is one big infection. These two little innocent pups are each in critical care and need all the help we can supply to get them through this terrible ordeal. We have to monitor closely their food intake, so they do not develop Refeeding Syndrome. The next five days are going to be critical for them to survive this. Please, keep them in your prayers and DONATE whatever you can so they get the best possible medical care to survive. Each pup is as sweet as can be. They are not feral puppies that shy away from humans. They love being held and loved. This alone tells us they were around human contact and were starved by someone.

FUNDS were raised to have him FULLY VETTED and Neutered and Tested...and we even found a temporary foster who would take him in directly from the vet's office... Today named NOAH...

Noah needs a HOME...he is a sweet boy whose history we do not know...he has been through tremendous stress and doesn't fully trust...yet! His foster home is not going to work for him b/c the woman is rarely home...she has many pets of her own to care for AND at the midnight hour, her sister needs to move in for a month or so with her 7 cats!!! I made a stop on my way to eastern LI, only to observe two gorgeous, long haired beauties running around a Smithtown neighborhood (literally dodging cars on a busy street!).

As it turns out, their owner is relocating this Monday, finding refuge from a domestic violence situation. She has been caring for these two cats since their birth (May 2014) and devastated that the safe place she has found for her children will not accept her fur-babies. They've been

spay/neutered, but she's exhausted every possibility to find a safe place for them. Please, share these siblings. They're only ONE year old and highly adoptable with their fuzz-ball tails, but cannot compete with "kittens" and holiday timing is against them, too. They love to be held like babies. Please, help find a safe HOME OR reputable organization that will promote these angels and carefully screen for the best "INDOOR ONLY" homes possible.

*From Sonnia: ... Look at the pics and you will see that the fence has been put up and the garage, carport and the houses will soon be demolished. I took over this colony of 4 when the original feeder just left and did not return. If you look closely you can see their cat house inside the car port. I no longer have access to go inside the car port to feed. Junk has been splashed all over and it's not going to be SAFE there much longer for them. They have been TNR last year. I have a place for them but the cost is $500 per cat. I will pay for the vetting. I cannot fund this myself. I have exhausted my funds to other rescues and I need help for these 4 cats.

PLEASE I am asking for help to relocate these cats to a nicer happier place. Any donation is greatly appreciated.

I am reaching out for financial support for a beautiful dog that was living in horrible conditions on the end of a chain. I have found rescue for Simba, but before he can leave for New England, he must be altered and heart worm treated. He is very strong HW positive.

For meds, x-rays, 3 Emiticide injections, required boarding, neuter, health certificate, 4X Snap test and transport fee to New England , we need $947.00 total.

Please look at the attached pictures and you will see what horrific condition this poor dog was in at the time Julie and Mary discovered this sweet pooch. These pictures are so sad, but thankfully, due to a couple of very nice, compassionate ladies, he is safe.

Simba is a wonderful dog, so sweet and trusting, even after he was treated so badly. And he is a beautiful boy, inside and out.

Simba's Story

In November of 2014, a matted, furry intact male dog, a Husky mix, was spotted at the end of my road in a junkyard lot beside a residence chained to a tree. My neighbor who texted me had seen him there for several weeks, left on the chain 24/7. The length of the chain was about 8-9 feet. It was raining, muddy, and there was a small plastic doghouse, no bedding. A pink plastic bowl had about half an inch of water in it. The dog looked sad and miserable. I approached the dog one day when no one was home, and found he was friendly. He looked up at me with sad eyes, and was trusting.

My neighbor and I talked with someone who had a rescue. She called Animal Control on the situation. Although they made a visit, the owner lied to them and said the dog was taken in at night. I knew from my own observation that the dog was on the chain night and day with no break. I followed up with a phone call to AC myself and was told, "The dog was fine."

The dog was not fine. But the dog disappeared...... I assumed he had been moved off the property somewhere ELSE in Forsyth County. Other neighbors, neighbors whom I did not know at the time but have since met, tell me he suffered through the brutal ice storm we had, and then the snow a few weeks later still on his chain behind the house on the property, where he had been relocated. He was not fed dog food, but human leftovers like pizza crusts.

Around the first of March, I was in my driveway when a car stopped at the top of my driveway. An old man, the owner of that property at the end of the block, came walking down. He asked me if I was the lady who was "into dogs." I replied, "Yes." He told me a dog had been left with him by a friend of his son's, and that he did not want it to go to the pound, and could I help. What I had hoped and prayed for had come true! The dog was going to be free of a life of misery. He signed the dog over to me and my pet sitter, friend and neighbor, named Julie. Through a special grant at a local vet, he had his vaccinations and heart worm test given to him for free. She estimates he is 6 years old. He has also been de-wormed. A groomer in Winder, GA donated her services to shave and groom him. She had to shave him to the skin due to the severe matting, but was able to leave the fur on his head, giving him an adorable lion cut. My friend Julie and I named the dog Simba.

The vet discovered he was strongly heart worm positive. Three dots appeared on the SNAP test. He begins HW treatment on Monday, assuming we can raise the funds to start treatment. My vet in Marietta is able to give Simba rescue discount and emiticide treatment for $600.00, including his meds, xray and required boarding. He will have to have a series of 3 shots, rather than 2 due to the strong positive test. He is a large dog, and needs a larger dose than most smaller dogs receive. My vet says his heart and lungs sound really good, and that Simba's blood profile looks good as well. His prognosis is great! 4-6 weeks after his last treatment, he will be neutered.

Until his treatment begins, he is enjoying multiple short easy walks on the leash, multiple kisses and hugs. This dog has no known flaws, and loves both people and other dogs. He is already showing great progress in his housebreaking.

I am housing Simba in an indoor spacious dog run. He loves having a soft giant round bed to sleep on rather than mud. It has been difficult to get him to eat dog food. Finally he is eating canned dog food, after a week of feeding him rice, chicken chunks and broth. Simba will not eat the kibble I try to sneak in the wet food. One thing at time, I have to remind myself.

Rescued from abuse after losing their family and home, they may lose their home again -- new loving mom just lost her job.

After their human mom died and their dad gone, they were placed in a home of neglect and physical abuse (see story below). Rescued by the daughter and placed in a loving home in Akron, Ohio, these sweet little dogs may lose their home again — their new mom just lost her job and may lose her home. She is frantically trying to find more work and doesn't want to lose these little ones. She is very proud and private not wanting others to be aware of her plight. The daughter having financial troubles as well, can't take the dogs but is doing her best to find a way to help her friend and Poco and Lobo keep their home.

The plan was to get Poco and Lobo vet care, necessary medicine, better food, potty-training, pet supplies and doggie steps for Lobo to make sure he doesn’t injure his back further. The steps were found in the original home. A small fundraiser was started to help with the medications and vet exam, but it is no where near goal, and now without a job, their new mom is desperate. Poco (10 years old-Blue-spayed) and Lobo (9 years old Tan-neutered) are an extremely bonded mother/son pair that belonged to my mother who passed of heart complications in late 2012, and got left with my father in our family home when she passed.

I received a call recently that my father was incarcerated, so I found a way to Ohio to get them safe. Upon my arrival, They were both slightly under weight, had fleas, they are in need of dentals, they were going potty on a shower curtain on the floor (Absolutely covered in feces and urine) as they couldn't get outside, and it was brought to my attention that Lobo (Tan dog) had recently been kicked by a tenant of my fathers, furthering the injuries to his back. Lobo now has a little trouble walking, and cries to get on the couch and/or bed. Poco is severely depressed and hardly moved other than to greet me- She hasn't been away from my father since the day we got her.

Luckily, I was able to find a family friend of my mothers who loves the dogs dearly, and she agreed to take them as I had run out of all other options and refuse to take them to a shelter.

The problem: The woman who offered to take them is struggling herself, and isn't able to afford quality food for them, let alone vet care.

All donations big or small will be used to get Poco and Lobo to a vet for their shots, HW medication, Flea/tick medication and to have Lobo's spine accessed. Any additional funds will go towards any medication they may need, as well as some quality food.

ENZO SOLD FOR DRUGS AND THEN LEFT TIED UP AT A TRAIN STATION

Enzo was found roaming the streets during the blizzard the other day by a wonderful woman who was walking her dog. He wasn't wearing a collar, had no leash, and followed the woman and her dog home. Her neighbors son said they had seen him earlier tied up to a gate at the train station. The woman and her daughter quickly brought him back to the train station hoping that his owner was looking for him. INSTEAD..... when Enzo ran up to the man he clearly recognized and was confronted by the woman, he told her that he sold the dog for drugs and it wasn't his dog any more. They then contacted the ACC and was told that the shelter is so overcrowded that they are not even putting dogs up for adoption anymore and that they are just euthanizing them due to lack of space. The woman refused to let this happen to poor Enzo and took him home.

Unfortunately, they are not able to keep Enzo and would like to find him the loving home he truly deserves. We do not have an exact age on him ( He is young based on his teeth), but he will be fully vetted, is good with other dogs, children, and we are unsure about cats. Young Bella was just diagnosed with Cancer...Early Diagnosis is a Saving Grace but without Funds it won't matter...

Six months ago, Bella was given up by the only family she had ever known. They didn't like that she didn't bark and that she shed everywhere. They kept her locked up in the kitchen and never let her run free.

Luckily for Bella, she was adopted by a wonderful family who absolutely adore her. They were heartbroken about putting their last dog to sleep due to cancer just a few months prior to them adopting Bella. They were very excited to get a young, healthy, beautiful dog, who would be a great addition to their family and a wonderful playmate for their other dog .

This week, Bella, who is only two years old ,was diagnosed with lymphoma of the stomach. Unfortunately, due to the fact that she is so young, the cancer is very aggressive. The same day that Bella was diagnosed with cancer, Bella's owner had to rush her other senior dog into the vet and have him euthanized.

The family is absolutely beside themselves and feel helpless .The medical bills for her two late dogs were astronomical , as they did everything in their power to save them .Now, Bella's family is being hit with more medical bills that they cannot afford .They want to be able to do everything in their power to give Bella the chance to live a long, happy, healthy life.

Bella's medical bills will include x-rays, sonograms, medication, chemo, radiation, consultations at the oncologist, and different forms of treatment. He doesn't do well with multiple cats or with cats that are dominant. Not only is the new owner giving him up because the cats aren't getting along, but she is also moving and the clock is ticking. Please share this beautiful boy, he needs a loving, compassionate owner who will provide him with unconditional love. He is currently located in Huntington, New York.
